A great deal for budget travelers. The room was clean and comfortable. I was a little leery of a group of high-schoolers that were partying in a room next to ours, but it turned out okay. If I had any complaint it was that the air conditioning window unit was a little loud. It was a hot day and a dip in the well-maintained pool really started the next day off right.

We had the occasion to stay at the Friendly Motel overnight while we were in Spencerport to attend a funeral.
While the bathroom was indeed remodelled and clean, it was very small. The amount of space between the toilet and the wall (If you get my meaning) was not enough for a tall person to relax comfortably (again- if you get my meaning).
There was no security lock on the door (chain), just the locking doorknob.
The room was average, TV and cable excellent, the WiFi functional.
The telephone went off twice during the night, I thought perhaps the automated wake up call was going haywire, but when I mentioned it at check out the next morning, the lady I spoke to ( i believe the owner) said it was likely one of their other guests trying to phone out.
I don't think so. Very nice people, likely trying to make a go of an aging property, upgrading a bit at a time
In closing, it was probably the type of place you would stay if all you want is a bed and a bathroom. Maybe My wife and I are spoiled, but I hope for more when I pay for a room for the night.

Very quaint motel harkening back to the 50's. We loved the little cabin we were in and the people working there were very friendly and personable. We had a refrigerator and a microwave and the per night rate was a lot less than what we had paid in the city of Rochester, where there was no refrigerator or microwave! We will stay there again when in the area.

Five couples biking the Erie Canalway should have kept on biking. Yes, the location was good, but the motel was just plain, BAD. Example: No handle on the outside screen door. To open, insert finger in hole and pull. The odor in the room caused me to gasp. Old, stale, and whatever. My husband remarked that the bed spreads were used to change oil. The carpet crackled. The pool, fine and thankfully, outside.

So the price is really good for this motel. The pool is an added bonus and is actually really nice. The area is quiet and you can sit out on a little stoop and actually relax and have some peace. The bathrooms seem to have been updated recently. The are tile and are not bad. You are given very small towels to use. If you are bigger you will need 2-3 of them to dry off. The showers are a mister type nozzle. Dont expect any pressure to wash off but the water is hot at least. The carpet and rooms stink. You must air the room out for a very long time but it just soaks into your clothes and you take it home with you. yuck. They miss things while cleaning sometimes Big things. The carpet feels nasty on bare feet and the bed has burn holes in it all over from smokers. They have no non smoking rooms so enjoy the second hand left over. Beds are all full size only. Nothing bigger. TV service goes out if it rains for short periods of time. I have stayed here several times. I always wash everything really good as soon as i get home. The owners are nice and the price is the best in the area if your are tight on money. Otherwise find somewhere else.

The rooms were remodeled which was nice and the rooms were inexpensive. Everyone was so nice. I saw the manager working and cutting down trees and bushes. It was nice to see. A perfect inexpensive stay.

Cute cabins, friendly staff. Rooms looked newly painted. Outside swimming pool. Chairs outside to sit on. Quiet relaxing weekend. Nearby lots of shopping, restaurants and a mall. Ten minutes to our ball fields.

this place is nice but the first room we got was very small and it smelled like smoke so we asked for a non smoking room and we were charged 13.00 more dollars a total of 74.00 to expensive especially with no breakfast and the bed was hard and felt like we were sleeping on a hill.
