Do not bother to waste your money at this cess pool!!! Room smells like mold and mildew. They try to disguise the smell with Febreeze. Shower is gross. Holes in walls, lights don’t work. Paint splotches on walls. The prices are ludicrous for what it is. We left the same night we checked in. Photoshop works wonders when you change your photos for your webpage.
If you're looking for a place to sleep between 4am and 9am, you've found the perfect hotel. If you're looking for hot water, headboards that are firmly attached to the wall, outlets that don't come out when you plug something in, or on-time check-in, I'd suggest you look elsewhere. While there were some well intended staff, our experience was best summed up by a member of our party saying "Capri is trying to do too many things, and does none of them well". This is the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'd recommend you look elsewhere for your stay in the Hamptons.
Horrible, overpriced, dirty, understaffed, tiny room with old beds and old tv, horrible food, the whole hotel is falling a apart, for the price they charge they could do so much better… never ever coming back here… beware it’s a rip off The breakfast apart from the croissant it’s a risk no one wants to take
Just to cut to the chase, ignore the strange and inaccurate bad reviews from people who probably don’t like spending more than a $100 on a hotel. This is the Hamptons. This property is great in all departments, location is perfect, can walk to train station or venues like Southampton Social Club. Rooms are beautiful, in perfect shape, pool is great, restaurant is also beautiful space indoor and out, and terrific food. Awesome bicycles that are complimentary. Most important, the young staff goes out of their way to accommodate every way possible, particular shout outs to Alex, Savanah, Tacia, Annie and Ayesha, Bud and several Joes :) Will definitely be returning.
My husband and I chose to stay at this hotel for the pool. It ended up raining the entire weekend we were there so we did not get to swim. It was freezing outside and in the rooms. The heat was either not working or not turned on. They offered to give us a space heater that never came. There was an outdoor party at their restaurant that was so loud from 11pm-3am that we could not sleep at all. We asked to speak with a manager and was told that she was busy. She was supposed to call us back and never did. I personally would like my money back either a full or partial refund. I have tried to chase after them with no response. It was $1000 with taxes for an overnight stay memorial day weekend. This place is basically a motel and we would've been better off staying at a super 8.
My wife and i stayed here over in june 2020. The staff from the start was so nice. when we arrived we were greeted with a friendly warm welcoming from kim. It was a smooth and easy process getting our room accommodations, even providing a number to text if any issue arose. later that night we had an issue with the room we were staying in. Kim responded quickly to our message and help us with the issue and provided us with a compensation. The hotel itself is well kept and has a nice Retro modern feel to it. More of the happier vibes. Highly recommend for a couple get away.
Capri Southampton Arrived at 6:30 pm on a Friday night, driving 30 miles out from MacArthur Airport. All the lights off, the parking lot empty, the Front Door locked!!! No one around, what to do? There was a permanent paper sign in the window, "call Joe (#) if you have concerns" I called, no pick up, left a VM that I'm waiting outside the front door, no reply. NOT FOR 2 HOURS By then I had driven back to the airport area and got a room at the Hilton. Ruined my Friday night. "Joe" was a maintenance guy, said he was in the back and that's why all the lights were off, and the door locked. He said call the Front Desk in the morning. Called in the morning, spoke to Shakira, the front desk manager, who was in no way apologetic, said "we were open" and wouldn't discuss it. When I asked her if by open she meant all the lights off, the front door locked, and no reply to the written note(?) She would not reply. Charged me for both nights!!! Took her to small claims court as a matter of principle, she didn't show up! The pic is of the note in the window. STAY AWAY WHATEVER YOU DO. There are some fantastic hotels in SH, Southampton Inn is an example…
Sheets had stains on them when we arrived, restaurant was closed, no staff at the front desk. The front desk staff invited their entire family to the pool and started shooting water guns. Disgusting -- will never stay again and will warn everyone.
Best weekend I've had in the last 5 years at the Capri! Staff is incredible especially the GM, Elle. They will go far and beyond to accommodate their guests! 2019 summer in the Capri SouthHampton has been the most memorable in many years! I am so happy I disregarded any negative reviews. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! It’s walking distance (approx 15-20 mins) to the Village, where you can shop and dine and come “home” to a place where everyone knows your name! Also, Coopers beach is a short Uber ride away, aprox 3.3 miles from the Hotel where you can actually enjoy a REAL beach with REAL waves and some sun kissed skin.
They tell you that your room is $200 and then they charge you $800 for 2 nights!!! The worst front desk service and when I called they were beyond useless!!!! Don't ever stay there. The staff is always on their cellphones, doesn't even bother to look up when you speak to them! Awful place! I'm disputing the charges. I hope I get my money back
