I love the 1708 House! This was our second stay and it was just as good. The accommodations are quaint, clean and welcoming. The location is perfection as you can walk to town and a beach pass comes with your stay which is like gold! Breakfast is always delicious with and assortment of pastries, bagels, yogurt, fruit, cereal and eggs... More

The 1708 House is a family owned and operated B&B. We were lucky to have Melissa, a daughter, in charge of the house. The accomodations are superb, the attention to detail is great, the friendlyness makes you feel at home, the breakfast room and food is wondeful, and the celler for an evening wine and game is magnificent. The location... More

I have often thought of the Hamptons for its great restaurants, shops and of course beaches. The 1708 House reminds guests that the Hamptons is also a place steeped in history. This lovely Inn has been beautifully refurbished and is right in the heart of Southampton's historic district, which is also very convenient to all shopping and restaurants. My husband,... More

Just returned from Memorial Week-End. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, accommodating or personable. We stayed in one of the cottages which was immaculate and cozy. Breakfast was delicious with variety and freshness. It was my daughter's birthday and they delivered a bouquet of flowers to her!! And, the location was ideal. I rate this charming place a 10+.

I had the opportunity to stay at the 1708 Inn for three nights from April 9 - 12, 2015. The staff/owners were excellent. After I mentioned that I like to walk/run every day they mapped out a great route for me whereby I was able to see much of Southampton. The following day they had another route ready for me.... I ended up staying here the beginning of February for 2 nights (initially 1) for work and it was a great little stay! Speaking to the owner was really cool after eating breakfast my first morning there. Everything was super clean even though I was the only guest the first night. I am hoping to stay there again, sans bitter... More

Just spent the most wonderful weekend at this absolutely magnificent B&B. From the superb antique furnishings to the glorious spacious rooms with all the amenities you could want, I would totally recommend this place. Their breakfasts are served with silver ware on china and are totally delicious. The house is located right on the main street near the shops and... More

Loved the little birthday treat they left for my husband upon our arrival. The many sitting areas with fireplaces were a plus during a wet, wintry visit. There was a musty smell in the annex that reminds us how old the house is!
