I truly enjoyed staying at the Skaneateles Suites. Your rooms were spacious and clean. I enjoyed the complementary snacks and beverages. I greatly appreciated anticiapting and accomodating my late arrival time. I would recommend your property to someone staying in the area.

We expected good things, but got better things! Beautiful, small, luxurious, accommodating, and unstuffy, friendly. The rooms are suites with fabulous bathrooms. Sheets, robes, towels are aspirational nice. Decorated magnificently — regal but comfortable. Perfect, noiseless AC, lovely Large TV in our private sitting room,...More

About
Description
At 34 State you will have the pleasure of experiencing a property with a balance of features that have the appeal of an historic inn, the luxuries of a boutique hotel but yet it affords you the privacy of your own More spacious suite. New to the lodging market as of Fall 2015, 34 State is quickly becoming one of the most sought after places to stay because it is distinctly different in so many ways. Located in the historic village of Skaneateles off of the main street yet only steps to the pristine lake, boutique shops and restaurants in combination with its elegant, luxurious and whimsical interiors is sure to please even the most discriminating traveler. Your private entrance off of the grand columned porch welcomes you into the main area at 34 State where you will find spacious rooms with original historic details but with all the modern amenities one could ever need. The property offers two well-appointed designer suites consisting of a separate living room, bedroom and bathroom totaling approximately 700-750 square feet each. In addition to your suite you have full use of the generously sized downstairs area including a formal sitting room with grand piano and gas fireplace, dining room, and guest pantry. Outdoors there is a spacious yard and colonial style porch outfitted with wicker furniture to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or glass of wine in the evening. Several expansions have been made to this historic home over the years, landing it with more than 5200 sq. feet of living space in total. The owners live on premises in private living quarters should you need anything during your stay, but will allow you all the privacy of enjoying the main portion of the property in addition to your suite. The home of 34 State was built in 1834 and was once the home of famed painter John Barrow. Our Skaneateles Library features a gallery of his beautiful and timeless paintings that is a must see while visiting Skaneateles. Less
