Several people had recommended a stay at the Sherwood Inn, so we decided to give it a try. While the building commands a stately presence in town and the location is convenient to shops, wineries, restaurants, and outdoor activities, the inside details were lacking. In an older building, you expect the quaint creaky floors and crooked walls. That's part of...

The staff at the Sherwood were amazing, If there was something we needed, they were so kind and helpful. The room was great - very very clean. Food in the pub was delicious as always, we have eaten at the Sherwood, but never stayed over night. The overnight was a gift from our kids, we loved the stay, brunch in...

Stopped in for lunch with friends. We were promptly seated at a window table with a beautiful view of the table with a beautiful view of the lake. The food was excellent and the staff extraordinary. We will return here every time we are in the area. lake. windowltable

Lovely inn. Staff is friendly. Our bed in Room 334 was as hard as a rock. Both my husband and I got very little sleep and backs both hurt the next day . We scheduled an appointment with a chiropractor when we returned home. The added cost for a medical visit will have us staying at The Mirbeau next time....

The room was clean and beautifully arranged. You really can’t beat the location being directly across the street from the lake and park and just a short block from the charming downtown shops. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves as we never heard a noise the entire evening (from floorboards or other guests). The restaurant did...

Went with a large group and had a Chicken Francaise lunch....not as good as I would have hoped for. Seemed undercooked, covered in a lemony sauce which did little to enhance the overall presentation. Not sure if we were in the area again, I would stop here....IMHO.

The room is way over priced. Stayed 2 nights & never had our room cleaned. Ran out of toilet paper & had to hunt someone up for 1 roll? Looked forward to prime rib on Sunday's special and at 5:30 were told they were all out. We have stayed there in the past & it was real nice. This time...

The Sherwood was not quite what I expected but we had a terrific visit. It is located in downtown Skeaneatles and not on the lake but in fact across the lake and on a crowded street with lots of noisy traffic. There is a swimming spot across the street from the hotel but in the four days we stayed at...

This is a busy but homey place to stay. Every room is unique and comfortable. This is an old inn , but it is well maintained and very clean. Most rooms have a fireplace, some have a jacuzzi bath. Many of the rooms overlook the lake. Breakfast was included and had many selections to choose from. Breakfast was served on...

Bed was comfortable, staff was great, excellent atmosphere and nice breakfast. For the price the room was tiny and not many amenities. I would stay here again due to everything else mentioned and the fact that it's right in the best strip in town and across the lake.
