My daughter and I enjoyed an amazing overnight for some much needed R & R. The entire facility and property is beautiful, warm and welcoming. Spa experience was perfect from overall ambiance, services, guest facilities and especially the outdoor hot tub. It was pouring rain but we didn't care, it was amazing. The apple cider mimosas were yummy and the outdoor fireplace kept us warm. We had dinner and breakfast which were equally amazing. All of our selections were wonderful, but I have to admit, the truffle fries were the best we've ever had. Mission accomplished, we were beyond relaxed at the end of our visit. We'll be back. Worth it!
I booked our trip here based on a very strong recommendation from a close friend. I’m very glad I listened to her!! We had a lovely time and it was the relaxation we needed. The spa was great- we both had massages and used the aqua terrace several times. The staff was so nice and made our stay even more enjoyable. The food was very good - some of the best French onion soup I’ve ever had! I feel they have tried to adapt to all the COVID guidelines while still trying to make sure you have an exceptional experience- not an easy thing to do. We will definitely return!
How can you possibly beat sitting in the midst of a French village overlooking a lush garden complete with Monet's bridge and water lilies - after having an unhurried elegant dinner in a French country inn? How can you beat the pampering of a country club locker room complete with wet and dry saunas, a year-round outdoor hot tub that is great in both February and July, a relaxation room that carries you back to something out of ancient Rome, and spa treatments from experienced people in one of the best spas in the eastern US? How can you beat the relaxation of going to breakfast and lunch in your spa robe or lounging in your spa robe at the property during the day? Are you sick and tired of an untrained staff that delivers poor service - then try the Mirbeau with its highly trained and professional staff that truly treat you like a guest, following the Golden Rule! In the colder months book a room in the Main building to make access to the spa easier and in the warmer months a first floor room in the main building with a balcony on the deck puts you right on Monet's pond. The Halibut and the Salmon are no miss entrees - tastefully and creatively done. The crème brule at the Mirbeau changes seasonally and is always a creative masterpiece - the summer one had a raspberry and rhubarb combination to die for. If you want different come here.…
I took my husband away for a relaxing spa weekend. We had a suite and the hotel was nice enough to place a bottle of champagne in the room for his birthday. There were torn lampshades, and a table that needed replacing and we had to sleep backward on the bed as it tipped so much toward the wall that we couldn't sleep. There was a hole in the shower where the plaster / drywall started to come apart. The walkways and scenery were beautiful. We each had a massage. The masseurs were great! When it came to the relaxing room, there were other guests that were loud and inappropriate. Nothing was done to quiet their rude behavior. There were 3 tables in the restaurant. We went up for breakfast and were told that we needed to make a reservation. I happened to watch for the next hour when we were able to get in and they only could accommodate those 3 tables. For the money, this place is not worth it.…
When my wife and I walked into our room, the room was beautiful. She opened the curtains and commented that this was a better view than we had in Athens (where we had a view of the Acropolis). She was right. The hotels was built around a replica of a Monet. We truly enjoyed our stay here. The atmosphere was so relaxed. The staff was not only extremely helpful and cordial, but seemed genuinely interested in us. The restaurant at the hotel was excellent. We had all of our breakfasts and one dinner there. The food and service were excellent . We sat outside and the koi in the pond came over and begged food from us. The restaurant supplied fish food. The spa was a pleasure. We had 2 minor complaints. There was a new tv service, which didn’t always work. The mattress was softer than we liked. We hated leaving this wonderful Inn.…
Friendly associates there to help! Nice and clean hotel room. I did not use any of the spa choices that were available to me, so I cannot comment on that. Very close to the lake to enjoy the view! Food choices around town also nice.
My girlfriend and I spent a much needed night away while our husbands played golf. Mirabeau was just what we needed. We started off with wine at the bar, the Sommelier was amazing. We had two glasses of fantastic wine. Next came dinner, I had the pork chop and my friend had the halibut, both fantastic. We drank our desserts. The next morning we woke up early to take the Pilates mat class with Chris (awesome) and then on to a stretching class with Eric (beyond words). We had another fabulous meal for lunch. On to the Spa where we had massages. I cannot say enough wonderful things, we did not stay long enough.
The facility is very well maintained and appointed and the staff strives to make your stay as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. The General Manager even made sure we were familiar with the surrounding area and provided great insights and suggestions on attractions to visit.
Great food and spa service. Love the Aqua Terrace. Lovely gardens. My husband was really impressed and able to get some much needed rest and relaxation in the sauna and steam rooms. The waitresses in the restaurant were lovely and helpful.
Fabulous!! Everything and everyone there was wonderful. It was a beautiful experience!!! We have been going to Mirbeau in Skaneateles for the past 15+ years and everything was incredible!! Dinner was top notch!
