Perfect little motel. Check in down the road at the main hotel (fairly high end). This place has clean and comfortable rooms at a great price for the area. Nice small touches with the toiletries.
Wish we had been able to stay longer than 1 night.

Just stayed here last Saturday in a 1 king bed deck access room for $300 total. . Room is decorated beautifully Adirondack style. There is two nightstands in the room, heater-stove for ambience. The bathroom is super cute but small. Owned by Mirabeau and the bathroom has Mirabeau lotions, shampoo, conditioner. There is a great room that you have access to and inside is a couch, TV, large wood table. There is a refrigerator in here that we used as the rooms have no fridges and coffee available 24/7. The rooms really need to have fridges for $300 a night. In the nice weather the back deck must be nice to sit on. The great room would be a good place for families/friends to gather for meals if you wanted to have food delivered or brought from home. Would stay again. It’s across the street from Rosalie’s Cucina that we had dinner reservations at so that was great as we could walk.

If you are looking for five star resort, this is not your place. But if you were looking for a super clean, super cute, super cozy accommodations, then this is your place. This motel is very rustic and filled with charm. The bed is made from willow trees and all of the furniture in the room has the same look. Do you feel like you are in a Northwoods cabin. The bathroom is tiny, and I mean tiny, but it gets the job done. If we ever go back to Skaneateles, we would stay here again in a heartbeat. It was truly a memorable experience.

Our family stayed in the Adirondeck Suite and really enjoyed our weekend visit. The room itself is up a short flight of steps. It was two separate rooms, with a comfy king bed but the rollout was a bit lumpy. The room was very clean and the hotel followed COVID procedures.
There is a real fireplace which must be great in the colder months.
The price was reasonable considering the area, about a mile from Skaneatles main street area.
Try the inexpensive diner across the street for breakfast. Fast and good.
We'd come back in heartbeat.
Highly recommeneded.

What can I say... everything I expected... a place out of the ordinary but authentic... everything in the right place but not artificial. Not a motel, not a hotel, a lodge where you can stay in peace for relaxing days wandering around the lakes. There is a beautiful common room where in my opinion in winter you can sit and talk about the beautiful things done. We will hardly return... only because we are Italian and live too far away otherwise we would definitely return

This room was awful. It was very small, with no place for your toiletries in the shower stall bathroom. The TV didn’t work with the remote and was as small as a laptop computer. The bedding was wool. I guess for winter and the temperature was in the high 80’s and 90’s. There was barely room for hanging clothes and one of the drawers had room towels in so no storage there. Tried sitting on the back deck and the chairs were so rickety they felt like the were going to collapse. Crazy price for such a dysfunctional room. They advertise pet friendly, even on your website, but with no mention of a fee. I guess they are associated with the Mirabeau spa, so the toiletries were the only nice thing they offered. Don’t waste your money here. We had room 707….awful. And ended up being charged for 3 nights. even though we did not stay the 3rd night. Total rip off and cheesy customer service. Beware spend the extra $ and don’t book here!!!!!

There is a WORLD of difference between the Mirbeau Spa and its "satellite property", the Finger Lakes Lodge, which proudly sports the Mirbeau name/endorsement on it. My husband and I had been hoping to stay at the wonderful Mirbeau Spa just up the road for a special getaway weekend, but they were booked; seeing the Mirbeau name stamped on The Finger Lakes Lodge, and the hefty price tag per night (well over $200 per night and basically equal in price to the famed Mirbeau itself), we made reservations here for two nights, trusting that we could still enjoy luxurious Mirbeau dining and facilities even though we were a short distance down the road. Do NOT be reassured by the Mirbeau name on this property. Bottom line: if Hell has a direct portal/front gate, this is it. The rooms are FILTHY beyond words: old dried food on the carpets, surfaces black with dirt. Enough to make your skin crawl. It's basically a cheap drive-up motel hiding behind the Mirbeau name. The light fixtures were dangling precariously from walls; some lights and electrical outlets in the room did not work at all. No pictures on the walls, minimal (and unsuccessful) attempts at making the room attractive. No night manager on duty at the property-- keep your fingers crossed you don't need help or security, because it's down the road at the REAL resort. The shower is too small to even raise your arms to shampoo in. Bring your own toilet paper-- there might not be enough in the room (we had about ten squares left on the roll when we got there). My husband had to go to a nearby convenience store to purchase toilet paper, drinks, nasty pizza, and ice. The filth was so overpowering I literally couldn't sleep that night-- I just laid awake counting the minutes till we could leave! (Had there been a night manager, we would have refused the room as soon as we saw the place, but we were trapped till morning.) There is a difference between the advertised "Adirondack Style" and feeling like you're roughing it at Scout Camp!! When we went to the Mirbeau desk the next morning to check out early, they tried to stick us with an "early cancellation fee"-- no way. Just no way. I completely lost it. The Department of Health should know about this place! The Mirbeau, in a lacklastre attempt to retain our booking, offered to show us a Finger Lakes Lodge "suite" to use instead: it was just a larger version of Filth. Management candidly admitted to us that the place needs a major renovation and "maintenance walk-through" and complaints like ours are routine/daily. 5 star prices for 0 star quality! The Mirbeau should be ashamed to even put their name on this place. Don't believe the carefully photographed shots on their website: the bed is the only attractive part of the room, and the colorful outdoor chairs that imply you can kick back and relax are literally scant feet off a busy highway. Sit in one at your own risk! Speaking of the highway, you'll be serenaded at night by the roar of commercial trucks screaming past your room only yards away. My husband and I felt completely robbed: what a waste of money and a horrible "getaway". We ran as fast as we could to another hotel.

I planned a two-night stay here and was looking forward to it after reading all the great reviews. However, when we arrived to our room (714) there were spiders all over the walls, ceiling, headboard, and lamps. After killing about 12 spiders myself, we called the front desk and they said they were sending someone up to look at it. A housekeeping lady came to our room with her little duster and said "oh wow there are spiders everywhere again!" I asked her if this was common at the hotel and she looked at me and stated "yes, they're in all of the rooms and they keep coming back no matter how much we dust. There's even more spiders in the other room around the corner." She got rid of all of the webs and killed all of spiders she saw, but even after she left there were still spiders everywhere, including ones that were quite big and had a hard exterior. Disappointed, we drove back over to the front desk at Mirabeau and the receptionist looked at us and said she wasn't surprised if we wanted a refund because "who wants to sleep with spiders?" After being ignored for a couple minutes, they said they would finally process our refund and that unfortunately the Mirabeau was booked and that we would have to find somewhere else to say. However, it took 3 staff members to figure out how to process a refund and took up a good amount of time. The staff did not seem very empathetic and said we'll just have to find somewhere else to stay and suggested a couple places (all of which were all booked). After an hour and a half of calling around, I was finally able to find a place to stay owned by the Sherwood Inn, whom were kind enough to upgrade our room free of charge after hearing about what happened to us at the Mirabeau/Fingerlakes Lodging. It's unfortunate to think that the staff at the Mirabeau had nothing to offer as an apology for wasting a total of 2 1/2 hours of our time, but another hotel who had nothing to do with the situation was very kind and considerate and provided us with a room upgrade and free breakfast. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with this establishment and would not recommend it.

A small cluster of rooms, and a common lounge. Room was very spacious and clean. Interesting north woods decor rarely seen elsewhere. Pricey. Same management as an upscale hotel across and down the road. Should have included breakfast, but there is a diner across the street. Wish it were in Skaneatles. Not walkable.

My sisters and I did a Christmas shopping trip to Skaneateles and rented two rooms here. The rooms were adorable with tree bedsteads, Pendelton bedding, a mini stove and access to a nice deck. The bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Everything was very tidy and clean. The best part was the Great Room which was available for all guests to use. It had a huge stone gas fireplace, couch, chairs, dining table for 8, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV, two stories high with a canoe hanging from the ceiling and a beautiful Christmas tree....great place to hang out and relax. We checked in and out across the street at Mirbeau and from what we saw we want to stay there sometime!!!
