Detailed Reviews
My family and I stayed at the Belvedere recently while traveling through Schenectady. We were glad to find a non-chain option, a "boutique" inn that offered good value for money. While this is not a new facility, the management has kept up with the maintenance and the room was very clean. The room had a mini-fridge which was useful as we had items we needed to keep cold. The beds are big and comfortable and we got a good night's sleep. The blackout curtains were reasonably effective but would have been more so had they been better fitted to the dimensions of the windows. The continental breakfast is a step above, featuring pastries from a local bakery. The hotel is in a convenient location but was still very quiet. We would definitely stay here again if we found ourselves in the area again.

Very nice hotel. Rooms were clean and spacious. We had a jetted tub with great water pressure. Large tv in living room area, smaller one in bedroom. Mini fridge and microwave in room. Good location close to takeout food and a market.

Our second-floor room was spacious, quiet and clean and featured a comfy queen bed, micro, fridge and free Wi-Fi. The complimentary breakfast (to-go due to COVID) consisted of coffee, choice of homemade muffins, mini loaves and pastries, plus granola bars, apples and oranges and juices. The hotel is convenient to stores and restaurants. We would recommend this place.

Booked this hotel as a stop on a road trip home from Maine. The pictures on the website looked nice and recent reviews seemed ok for a one night stay. Our experience was not representative of the reviews nor the pictures. Upon arriving I paid cash as requested. After going up to the room my kids who have allergies began began having allergic reactions to something in the room so we elected to go stay somewhere else. We went down to the front desk to ask for a refund. They could not give me my cash back as they claimed to have deposited it (within 45 minutes on a sat evening at 7pm). They offered to do a refund on the credit card used to reserve the room but upon checking the statement the refund was never issued. When calling the hotel they said the owner was the only one who could help me and would be there Sundays after 4. For three weeks I called on Sunday after 4 and the owner was never there and never returned my calls. To date we never received our money back.

Very clean but also very worn. Fine for a one night stay. Staff extremely courteous. Good coffee and danish from bakery in the morning. TV volume was low…according to front desk this was a hotel-wide Cable issue. Yay closed captioning! Bed was comfortable if you like soft beds. Staff know there is work to be done there, but as I said, it is clean. The price is very reasonable. They also let us do an early check-in at noon for $30 more.

Asked for early checkin, but due to staffing shortages, they were not able to get us in early without an extra charge. This was not really a problem, but would have been nice.
The room was unusually large compared to what we expected and was very clean and neat. Would have been nice if there were more electric outlets spaced throughout the room, but not a problem really.
Bathroom was very clean and maintained. The toilet paper holder was broken, but this was just a maintenance issue. The water was hot and plentiful with a good shower. Not a lot of bathroom amenities, but we bring our own anyway and could probably have asked at the desk.
The bed, advertised as a queen, seemed more like a full size. It was an OK mattress; not terrific, but a lot better than beds at much more expensive hotels we've stayed at. The blanket, for us, was far too heavy as the room was too warm for us; we ended up sleeping just under the sheet. Probably not a major complaint from many, but was warm for us, even with the room heating system set to "fan only". For us, it would have been nice if they'd had a lighter blanket tucked in the drawer or in the closet, such as we've seen at other properties.
The breakfast is nothing special, although it IS advertised as "continental" so it is pretty much what we expected. Pastry, cold cereal, yogurt, coffee, juice. That said, they do have a nice selection of good pastries to choose from. Also, if you like bagels, there is a good shop, Bagels and Bakes, almost right across the street. They make nice bagel sandwiches and have good coffee.
Parking is good and plentiful.
Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Some minor maintenance issues around the facility, like dingy lighting in the stair tower, but overall, a nice place to stay. This is our 3rd hotel experience in this area in 2 years, and based on this trip and the pricing, we will definitely be back to stay here.
It's not a 5-star hotel, but it's not advertised as such. It IS clean, neat, and appropriately priced, and the guest ratings, overall, match what we found when we got here. It's especially nice that this is a locally owned independent facility.

I was surprised by an Inn, The suite room was everything I needed. The bed was comfortable, the shower had great water pressure, and the staff was more than accommodating. I would absolutely stay here again, and will definitely be recommending this place to others.

Fantastic service in a clean and well kept hotel. Highly recommend. The staff was efficient and helpful when I had any requests or needed advice on local restaurants. Close to everything we needed in Schenectady.

The motel is a bit dated, but our room was clean and comfortable. Check in was easy and friendly. The area is more residential so was quiet at night. A good place to stay for an overnight travel spot. The breakfast was only coffee, tea, some pastries, yogurt, etc. If wanted, there is a nice bagel place across the street that is very good.

We stayed here for two nights while attending a wedding. Most of the wedding party stayed at another venue but the price for two nights was almost $200 more than here. And it didn’t include a breakfast. The room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. And it was quiet. The breakfast was adequate and enough for us. With today’s hotel prices going through the roof, we were very happy we found this hidden gem.

Yes, as long as it has been cleaned. The staff was accommodating when my brother stayed there and he was in his room at 11am. Good luck and safe travels.
