Room was not cleaned properly. Walls are paper thin and you can hear right through. They charged me 50 dollars more per room than I was quoted. I was charged the price of a luxury hotel with Breakfast but did not get Breakfast and got a noisy dirty room
The best advice I can give is save your money and stay somewhere else (even your car!) because this place is a dumpster fire! There was numerous issues with my room: blood on the wall in numerous places, a number of hairs in the smelly unwashed sheets, and trash that hadn't been thrown out from a prior stay/s. I documented this all with pictures and will be reporting it to other folks online. I used to think that HJ was a good hotel. This place is not like any HJ I’ve stayed in… I payed $220 to stay in a dump.
This hotel was less expensive than others in the area, but not worth the price we paid at all. The key cards worked intermittently. There are no peepholes to the hall, although it looks like some rooms have them. There are absolutely no towel bars in the bathroom. Room service is every three days, and no place to hang a wet towel. Other than the bed, the only sitting area is one small chair and a broken desk chair. Not very good for relaxing in the room. The front desk staff were very nice. The mattress was decent.
Ants, need I say more? The room was depressing, not very clean. I am glad we only had to stay there one night. I would not recommend this facility to anyone. Next time we’re over that way I will find a different place to stay. Oh, did I mention ants?
Seems to have fallen on hard times, everything quite shabby, towels and bathmat not replaced consistently, HORRIBLE pillows, no changes of bed linens, refrigerator froze everything, almost non-existent wifi, terrible tv reception. Sad.
In my first room the towels were covered in long black hair and the bedding was dirty, in the second room they switched me to the bedding had hair, the bathroom was dirty, the towels were dirty, and there was garbage and random finger prints all over the room. Out side of my door there was a pair of dirty white socks just hanging out. Their customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel is dilapidated and DISGUSTING. They also made me p
Fun, colorful, semi-retro decor, very clean rooms, and VERY nice, friendly staff. I enjoyed this hotel much more than many in a higher price range. Beds were comfortable. The only drawback would be that the bathroom has NO hooks on the door or wall or places to hang or even place your clean clothes during your shower. Unless you want to put them on the toilet, which no sane person does.
The hotel was clean and definitely fulfilled our needs for a short stay in Saugerties. It is conveniently located to the town and village of Saugerties. It would be a short drive if you intend to visit the local ski slopes like Hunter mountain.
It is really close to the village of Saugerties. It is convenient but you should know that the rooms are dated, the mattress in the room 208 is not comfortable. The towels are hard, after a shower they feel like sand paper on your skin. The place is fairly clean, big parking lot, free coffee. You get what you pay for do not expect 5 stars service.
Very lazy housekeepers, who were constantly coughing with NO MASKS! Currently Ulster County has high instance of Covid_19, made us concerned about airborne transmission, we had to do our own housekeeping on 3rd day! Upon leaving staff was sarcastically laughing when i said great room service, as they all sat around on counter tops not working! Location is great, just staff very unprofessional.
