My husband and I couldn’t have been happier with our stay at The Village Inn. We were in Room 1, a large, L shaped, high-ceiling room with wooden beams. It has a big comfortable bed, sitting area, kitchenette and modern private bath. It was charming. The owner Michael was very nice and helpful, and gave us his recommendations for restaurants (all within walking distance) and things to do. Saugerties is a lovely little town and is also a short drive to Woodstock, which we enjoyed very much. Michael suggested we take the scenic drive to Tannersville which was fun in our little Mini. I loved the whole area and would definitely go back and stay at The Village Inn again. Thank you, Michael!
We stayed one night in the Chelsea room and were happy with the location, comfort and amenities. We checked in with the owner/manager at the coffee shop across the street, and he made us feel very welcome. In the room (more like a studio apartment), the little touches were appreciated, like charging cables, two televisions, a bag of fresh coffee beans, etc. Bonus points for the hot tub in the bathroom. The room is up a flight of wooden stairs behind stores. There is private parking, as well as an outdoor seating area next to the parking lot. The is a brewery about a block away that played music until about 11 pm, which we could hear from the room. This was not a problem for us and we would stay here again.
Very comfortable, central, and inviting. Amenities are well designed, bed comfortable, and the town is outside the door. Also, ice cream and coffee are conveniently located nearby. Walking distant to all downtown.
Recently went to a wedding and stayed overnight at the Village Inn, Saugerties. The owner could not have been nicer and the room was comfortable and clean. We have a small dog and found it ideal for her too. Plenty of room outside for walking, and met the nicest people in town with dogs, also. If you like a smaller boutique style hotel this is the one to stay at. P.S. cute little bookstores, spas and eateries right downstairs. You must check out the owners coffee shop right across the street. We had a great breakfast and lunch. We would definitely stay there again
We stayed here for our anniversary. The room was well furnished and well decorated, and the bed was very comfortable. The owners are friendly and professional. A few things were broken when we arrived but they were fixed within hours of us reporting them. It's near the center of town and walking distance to lots of nice restaurants and stores. The AC and hot tub were somewhat difficult to control but those are always problematic so we won't hold it against them. Word of caution, though: there's a bar with live music until 11 across the street, so folks who like to sleep early may want to stay elsewhere.
