A group of us, riders, trainer, and parents, enjoyed a weekend at The Greens Inn. We enjoyed our stay in wing B. It was wonderful for us to have the space to spread out in our own rooms with attached bathrooms; however, it was nice to come together for meals and socialization. We found The Greens Inn clean, Jenn was WONDERFULLY accommodating and tended to our every need. We will be staying there again next summer when we go to HITs!

We stayed with a group of friends to attend a local wedding. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. We all stayed in the same wing. The common room and kitchen were great. We were able to relax both before and after the wedding. It was wonderful.

Stayed for a weekend after hearing conflicting reviews of the Inn... I was pleasantly surprised that I found most of the complaints un-founded. The beds were not of the best quality but comfortable enough. The staff was outstanding and helpful and the place was clean and fresh. The property was well maintained and the town was wonderful. Would stay again anytime I am in the area.. Two thumbs up.

Stayed at the Green's Inn for our trip to Region 8's - NEDA. Our room was in a "pod" and the pod had a common area with couches, tv, and kitchen area - the actual nice part. Our room was VERY small with two twin beds. The beds were hard, squeaky, and I could feel springs in my back AND they were just pushed up to the wall. No head board or anything. The Windows did NOT open and there was no way to control the temperature in our room. The first night we about froze as there was NO heat in the entire facility. Bathrooms had black mold and there was a hole in the floor by the refrigerator that they had just covered with linoleum - same in the laundry room. WiFi only worked in the Pod - not the room.

I do wish you had come to us with your concerns. As most of our other guests have stated we are here to serve you the best we can. The heat could have been turned up as needed but you nor anyone else came to the office or called the front desk to share their concerns. There is no black mold in our facility as other guests will attest to our cleanliness.. I wish we could make everyone happy and do hope you give us another chance. Our WIFI has been upgraded as we have noticed an issue with it not reaching the entire property. Please feel free to address your concerns with us if you do stay again as that is what we are here for..

I stayed for the weekend visiting friends in the Saugerties area. It was recommended to me by my friend who lived in the area. I have traveled the world and have stayed in many different hotels motels and B&Bs. I enjoyed my stay at the greens Inn, It was very clean and the staff was friendly and always willing to help. It is an excellent value. I especially liked the warm family feel to the place. I would highly recommend The Greens Inn

Husband and I stayed overnight on a road trip. I found it through scanning Google Maps, and picked it out of interest in being within walking distance of downtown Saugerties for the evening. The location suited us fine -- near a kind of horse/dog show fairgrounds area, a health 20 minute walk to the sweet, sweet town center. The experience of staying in the place itself, though, was kind of hilarious. We were happy to be able to remind ourselves that we're still flexible about surprises in new lodging experiences, and had a great time reminiscing over some crazy digs we've had (or ran out of!) in Chicago, London, Thailand, India, elsewhere. The facility seems to be primarily for jockeys or workers in various roles surrounding horse shows and dog shows. We were told by the managers that the animal owners usually stay in their RVs and then get rooms for their staff within the Inn. Our room (with private locking bathroom down the hall) was small, clean, but very institutional. There were clusters of rooms that looked out to common kitchen areas. From the decor, including ghastly pastel color scheme, bars on the walls to support yourself while on the toilet (!), antiseptic soap dispenser on bathroom wall, the lingering smell, it was pretty obvious that the building was earlier an assisted living facility or nursing home. The current kitchens look they were the nurses' stations. It was kind of fun to try to figure out how the place had been "repurposed." Managers were a nice couple, but we also had to laugh when they showed us to our room, where one bath towel and a couple of hand towels were sitting on a counter. (I think the room might have been a supply closet earlier, btw.) One manager asked us if we'd like anything else, another towel, and we said well yes, thanks, we would! Must they ask, if we're two people and there is one bath towel? It was well worth an additional laugh. Altogether, it was fine, in that it was clean and safe and was just a place to crash for one night. Way too expensive for what it was ($100) though.

In response, The Inn has been undergoing renovations to improve the aura and functionality of the wings. Having been built as a country club and then re-purposed to a family health center in the past lends to its unique design. The Inn is located directly across from the Horse Shows in The Sun Saugerties NY location has made this a great place for riders and workers alike. We are geared for short or long term stays with full kitchens and common seating areas in each of our four wings. Great for family stays. To be environmentally friendly we limit the amount of towel sets in rooms to 1 set per bed unless a guest asks for more this saves water and electricity usage. We always ask if a guest needs anything more as our guests needs come first.
