Can’t say enough positive things about the Homestead and Catskills Animal sanctuary. The staff was extremely knowledgeable about the animals and all of their stories and the history of the farm. The Homestead was immaculately clean, quiet and beautiful. We had a lovely vegan breakfast in the morning and Nancy sat with us and shared her stories and really got o know us. They are so accommodating and genuinely care about the welfare of each and every animal and visitor that comes their way. It is a must visit!

We sure can't thank you enough for taking the time to write to us and share such sweet sentiments! WE love our animals and the Sanctuary and of course a beautiful Homestead in which us humans can stay, we do our best to make it a "home away from home" feeling. So wonderful to read and know we are doing the best we can do for our guests to enjoy the peace and tranquility of our property but also our amazing Hudson Valley and Catskill region. We sure hope to see you again in the future, thank you again!! So very special...

A lovely business in the heart of the Hudson Valley! This bed and breakfast lived up to its name by providing a truly beautiful and memorable stay with delicious breakfast and tea and snacks. There are so many things to do in the area but the best thing to do is right here on the grounds where you can walk around and interact with all different sorts of animals from friendly sheep and interested chickens to horses that just want a neck scratch and then nothing to do with you. It's great!

We had a great time staying at the Homestead and visiting the animal sanctuary the next day. The house was beautiful and cozy, the rooms were spotlessly clean, and the vegan breakfast the next day was delicious. And - we were able to bring our pups with us which made the experience that much more special! Michelle was a fantastic host - always available by text for questions and super helpful with any logistical hiccups. Overall, a wonderful weekend!

Awe! Super sweet, thank YOU so much, our pleasure and how can you not love having furry friends in The Homestead too! Having dog guests as well as their "human" counterparts is simply the best! We sure hope to see you in the future and we know how much the Animals in the Sanctuary appreciate you coming to visit, but we sure do too! Thank you so much for writing and we so hope you have a wonderful holiday season...

This was my second visit to The Homestead staying in the sweet Dino Room. I also attended a Compassionate Cuisine cooking class. I would highly recommend The Homestead- the space is beautiful and the vegan breakfast prepared by Michelle was delicious. It was wonderful to visit with the animals and especially to enjoy petting the turkeys in this Thanksgiving season.

The Homestead is my home away from home. It is an impeccably clean and lovely place to stay when I'm traveling for work or leisure. The Homestead staff is like none other. They are ready to accommodate each request! The rooms are beautifully laid out -- even the smallest room, The Dino, is arranged in such a way, that you have space to relax and a desk to work. The house itself is spacious enough to find a private corner and communal enough to meet new friends. The vegan breakfast and treats are delicious! Truly a "deal" when you think about the very reasonable cost of the room plus the added bonus of a full breakfast and vegan treats! If you want to relax, meet compassionate wonderful people and support a great cause - Catskill Animal Sanctuary - book a stay at The Homestead! If it is your first time, book a Sanctuary Tour and meet the furry and feathered rescued residents that call Catskill Animal Sanctuary a forever home. Your heart will open and your spirit will feel rejuvenated!

Awe!! YOU are a lovely person indeed my dear! It is our pleasure to get to see you when you come and stay with us. We love our yummy treats and home away from home feel, it is like coming back home. There is nothing better than breakfast with new-found friends from all over the place but share a common interest in animals, well-being, food and well just an escape. We are so happy it's your destination! WE can't wait for Bree to come and share all the magic and joy he does when he visits the Sanctuary and our Homestead guests... Thank you for such a beautifully written review and so heartfelt, I can hear your voice saying the words! Love it! See you in the Spring...
