I cannot speak highly enough about The Villa at Saugerties. My husband and I spent a long weekend here for my birthday to relax and unwind in the Hudson Valley, and it fully delivered. The villa is an impeccably curated space that leaves no detail unattended, from the luscious and beautifully manicured grounds to the welcoming and well-designed public spaces to the immaculate guest rooms, each with private outdoor space. And, while we truly enjoyed settling into the gorgeous surroundings, the most valuable gems of The Villa at Saugerties are its hosts Amanda and Joe. They are two of the kindest, most welcoming and genuine people.
Amanda makes it her duty to ensure you want for nothing during your stay, and she somehow manages to do so in a way that makes you feel like you've known one another for years! The conversation comes easily and so does the subsequent laughter and enjoyment of chatting with her during morning brunches. Joe wowed us each and every day with his delectable, multi-course brunches using local farm-to-table ingredients. I must say, he inspired me to try a few new recipes when I returned home. :) I cannot wait to return again, and again!

Our second trip to the Villa at Saugerties was just as wonderful as the first. Amanda and Joe are the nicest hosts we have ever encountered. They are always available if you need anything or have any questions....they just want to make your stay as lovely as possible! Joe is a fabulous chef always surprising us with exceptional and unique breakfasts. Not to be missed is the Saturday prix fixed dinner in the garden.....exceptional! Amanda is a kind and thoughtful host....conversations with her are always interesting and something my husband and I look forward to. This was our first escape during the pandemic and Joe and Amanda made us feel so comfortable....from the impeccably manicured gardens, beautiful rooms, relaxing pool, and of course the incredible cleanliness and readily available hand sanitizers. We can’t wait for our next trip back to the Villa.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at the villa and are looking forward to returning! We’ve traveled extensively and stayed at some top rated hotels/inns. The Villa at Saugerties is without a doubt one of our favorites. The inn is beautiful, spacious and clean, but what what really makes it stand out is the service you receive from the owners, Amanda and Joe. It’s clear that they love what they do and they really go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible - from Joe’s delicious multi-course breakfasts to Amanda’s multiple trips from the kitchen to the pool to bring us cold drinks, no ask was too much trouble (if fact, we didn’t have to ask at all - Amanda checked in to make sure we were comfortable and offered us drinks!). We have two little ones at home who are constantly relying on us to do things for them - it was a real treat to be able to sit back and relax while Amanda and Joe took care of us! Book now, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I spent a lovely four days at this exceptional property. The owners, charming Joe and Amanda are amazing hosts. The attention to detail is over the top. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and well appointed. Every amenity is covered -- Additionally, The food is delicious, healthful and presented perfectly. Joe hand picks ingredients and makes sure everyone is completely happy. Amanda and Joe truly care about your experience. They guide you with exceptional ideas for day plans- as well as a huge list of vetted dinner favorites.
Hudson Valley is magical-- and this hotel is a jewel box.
NOTE: In the midst of Covid- they have both gone over and above with all of the necessary precautions to make you feel both comfortable and safe. It was immaculate.

My boyfriend and I just returned from the most perfect weekend at this beautiful inn. I have traveled extensively and The Villa is now included in my list of favorites. Everything is impeccable, from the design details and decor to the outstanding, fresh meals. Amanda and Joe are stellar hosts, making you feel right at home (even better actually!) and anticipating every need you might have. If you have the chance, I highly recommend their special dinner in the barn, it was a very special evening. We enjoyed getting to know the other guests, all interesting people, which only added to the experience. It’s rare to find a place where everything is so on point, but that is absolutely the case here. I’m already looking forward to planning our next visit. Thank you Amanda and Joe for a truly magical birthday weekend...still dreaming about my delicious bday cake!

We had an AMAZING 2 days at the Villa. The architecture, interior design, and attention to detail of the villa speak for itself and are all absolutely beautiful. What makes this place so special are the personal touches from Amanda and Joe that render such a unique and personal experience. We really enjoyed hearing their inspiration for the villa and they truly achieved their vision. We LOVED Joe's breakfasts so much, it was one of our favorite parts of the weekend. Amanda had wonderful recommendations after getting to know us over a glass of wine when we first got there. We came away with great memories over sharing coffee, drinks, and breakfasts. We only wish that next time we can join for a dinner at the Barn on Saturday night. We had a lovely fall weekend including touring historical sites, an awesome hike at Huckleberry Point, and taking in all the villa has to offer including the outdoor patio, nonpareil chocolates in the room, and playing scrabble while enjoying wine in the living room! Our room was cozy, clean, and we loved hanging by the fireplace at night. Amanda and Joe are such welcoming, sincere, and gracious hosts that made our stay so special. We have already recommended the Villa to many people and plan to return in the near future :)

Thank you Joe and Amanda for all your hard work creating a truly beautiful villa. Our room had a king bead with exquisite bedding, a gorgeous deluxe bathroom and private walk out patio. The minute you walk in, you start to see all the artesian crafted fine details, too many to list but, the Venetian walls are stunning. The outdoor grounds are just as amazing and lush. Joe prepares a delicious breakfast fresh from local suppliers and shared by all the guests. We had a great time. I never wanted to leave.

Just visited the amazing Villa for a quick weekend getaway. It was EXACTLY what I needed to escape the stress of work. Amanda and Joe are terrific hosts. The villa is gorgeous, the rooms are comfortable and relaxing. The food was simply amazing. Both breakfasts and the Dinner at the Barn were delicious. Hello - We offer a super beautiful full healthy brunch included with your stay, every day. On some Saturday evenings we offer our guests a special prix fixe dinner in the gardens (weather depending). We do not have a restaurant for additional meals. Fortunately there are lots of fabulous restaurants nearby in Saugerties (10 min), Woodstock (15 min), Kingston (20 min), and Hudson (30 min), and we are happy to help you plan an itinerary or offer suggestions based on your dietary preferences ;) Feel free to shoot me an email if you'd like to learn more!
