Every morning we enjoyed coffee and breakfast on the porch. Breakfast was amazing! There was always a choice between a sweet and a savory dish with eggs any style as a third option along with fresh fruit and juice as an appetizer. The food tasted professionally prepared!
The home is a beautifully restored Victorian with rich dark wood throughout and decorated impeccably with period pieces and a designer's eye. The room and grounds were clean and well maintained. The owners were always available and eager to assist with any questions we might have. We stayed in the suite since it was a special occasion and it was perfect. My wife enjoyed the sitting room to read in the mornings and evenings (I've attached a pic). The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows (I didn't have a pic without our stuff in it). The private bathroom had some of the fluffiest towels I've ever used. All of the other guests were friendly, several of which were repeat customers (as I said, once you find a gem like this, you tend to stop looking). The porch was a great spot to relax and read or socialize.
I thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Saratoga Springs and I believe that was largely due to where I stayed. It's a great town and there are lots of things to see and do. Being close enough to walk to everything (including the race track) and having knowledgeable and attentive hosts made it that much more memorable. I look forward to returning!
Excellent location! A neighborhood filled with beautiful homes and also a short walk to great restaurants.
This B&B was THE BEST!
Our host and hostess were so welcoming and so helpful, They offered guidance on restaurants, hikes, where to find the famous springs and pools and baths.. the inside knowledge about the preservation of this historic area, and all the excitement of the race track. The Manor itself is spotless and beautifully decorated… I can see so many photos have already been shared here! It’s simply gorgeous.
Breakfast was fantastic.. I felt like royalty, sitting on the massive porch , being served fresh fruit, orange juice and 2 warm blueberry pancakes with Vermont maple syrup, so deliciously fluffy. The best I have ever had. All the breakfasts were delicious. That’s how our days began…and they ended with complimentary wine… and a recap of the day’s adventures…back on the porch.
Absolutely loved staying here! Lovely sights, lovely hosts, lovely B&B. Thank you!
We will be back!
Dieter and Michelle , host and hostess of the Manor are the very best of the best.
We look forward to staying with you again!
Super Victorian, but very warm and comfortable, with a hip and thoughtful vibe. Michelle and Dieter are amazing and gracious hosts (and people!). We stayed 4 nights in their lovely Hydrangea Suite. Michelle has curated a charming, fresh space with well thought and imaginative touches you continue to discover throughout this alluring property. Dieter's breakfasts are yummy! The wrap around porch is inviting and enabled us take in the late August mornings and evenings. Parking is easy and on property. Walking to the track is very doable.
Fine linens and towels are provided although expedia noted to bring your own.
We recommend!
"They do not have TV's in the rooms (or at least not in the Garden Room), that wasn't a problem for us but may be for others. "Read full review
"The Hydrangea Suite was roomy. Single rooms are not as expensive, and still look comfortable. May try next time."Read full review
"The suite was perfect. Although it is at the top of the stairs, we were never disturbed by anyone else coming or going."Read full review
"The Hydrangea Suite is perfect if want some room to spread out, but if you would prefer a large bathroom another room would be better."Read full review
