The room was unbearably hot and the a/c was so loud we couldn’t sleep with it on. The paint was chipping and bubbles from water damage. There were bugs in the bathroom. Overall, the room was uncomfortable and dark. Do not recommend. Staff was untrained.
I loved everything about this Inn. Very conveniently located to everything in Saratoga. Parking is a little cramped, but ample street and other parking within walking distance. Upon arrival, I was greeted by a very nice gentleman who checked me in. As I got off of the elevator on the second floor, I thought uh oh, this place has got to be haunted! The hallway was a little creepy, but in a nice way. LOL I just knew the age of the building and that's where my thoughts immediately went. When I opened the room door, I was very pleasantly surprised. A bedroom with two double beds and a sitting area that led to the bathroom. All furnishings were very lovely appointed with antiques. There was plenty of lighting with natural light streaming in as well. The bathroom was very modern and done very nicely. A refrigerator and coffee maker for your convenience. TV with plenty of cable channels to choose from. I only spent the night, however I wished it were longer. Upon check out there was a lovely breakfast and the woman who assisted me was very pleasant and attentive. If you are looking for something different from the big box hotels, try this lovely inn. It will not disappoint!!…
Excellent room, beds very comfy ( but high) good range of toiletries provided. Staff on reception very friendly. Shared areas and hallways could do with some TLC but didn’t detract from stay. Good location for exploring Saratoga springs
Nicest refurbished nostalgic hotel we have ever stayed in. Great mattress and linens. Breakfast rates with the best. Not really unusual foods, but mostly just high quality prepared well. The warm cinnamon coffee cake is to die for! Dinner in the evening was excellent! I had bourbon glazed pork chop. One of the best ever. Grilled asparagus is worth mentioning also. We thoroughly enjoyed the live music while dining from the barroom next to the dining room. It was too loud for us to be in the same room. Wait staff was friendly and attentive in spite of being very busy.
We enjoy staying at historic inns and hotels so I booked a room online. I asked for a specific room in the cottage, but was assigned a different room which we decided to keep. I had some security concerns, but there were no problems. The room was very clean, but the sofa did sag quite a bit. We enjoyed the full sized refrigerator and sink and fixed lunch in the room each day of our three nights. My husband enjoyed the whirlpool tub. All the staff were friendly, and the breakfast buffet is a bargain.
My husband and I stayed here from Wednesday through Sunday. Our room was ready early and all aspects of our stay was excellent from the afternoon coffee to the country breakfasts. Warm and welcoming hospitality and great location. We will definitely be back.
We booked our stay here Sat 3/12/22 online. We were in town for a concert that evening at Upstate Preservation Hall. A historic home that is an inn w/ a tavern & restaurant. We didn't go to the tavern or restaurant on this visit. Very nice and clean room at a reasonable rate. We choose this location because of the location. Very convenient & walkable to everywhere on Broadway in Saratoga Springs. So this was what we wanted - walkable, affordable location. Note: room rates vary by season. We enjoyed our stay and would book here again
I stayed in the Brownell cottage suite and it was absolutely perfect. Amazing bathroom, great kitchen space, very comfortable bed, and good spaces to work. The room was nice and warm, and has lovely Victorian details and beautiful furniture. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I look forward to another stay here soon!
The inn is lovely - Victorian but not too much so. Real antiques and homey old carpets in the reception areas. The King Suite was fabulous! We felt so at home! All personnel were pleasant and helpful. Meals were delicious, live music was delightful because it was not loud, and was pleasingly simple. Overall, a fabulous experience.
My friend and I met in Saratoga to celebrate our birthdays and had such a nice time . The Inn was so pretty and unusual , the staff was great . Kevin at the front desk made our day with his helpfulness and friendly demeanor! Can’t wait to come back !
