This was my first time staying in a hotel since the COVID-19 crisis began. I wasn't sure what to expect. Being from NY State, I wanted to get away for a few days while staying within our state due to quarantine rules, etc. Being a huge fan of the Saratoga Springs area, I decided to give the Hampton Inn a try. I was very pleasantly surprised. I had read in advance about the Hilton CleanStay program, but when I arrived at the hotel I noticed just how seriously the staff was taking the whole situation. There were wipes and hand sanitizer available at various spots throughout the lobby and hand sanitizer available at every elevator entrance. Masks are also required in any public location (basically everywhere except your room). Breakfast is still being served, and you have the option to take it back to your room, or you can now sit in the dining room (adjustments have been made so that tables are farther apart). The pool is also open, but the hotel requires reservations to use it (a smart move in my opinion). I was in the area early so I decided to try to see if I could check in. I was assisted by Savannah who couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful. She advised me that the head of housekeeping was inspecting the room for cleanliness (a new norm under the current situation) and invited me to hang around for a bit until it was ready. This reassured me that the hotel was doing all they could to keep us safe. As for the hotel itself, the room was the cleanest I've had, a true testament to housekeeping. I had a room with a balcony that overlooked Broadway, and the balcony was an impressive size, and the room was comfortable. Parking is free but you need a room key to enter the garage. You can also use Hilton's Digital Key here (an app on your phone that will unlock doors and the parking garage), which I used for the first time and was very impressed with. The location is excellent -the shops and restaurants of Broadway are only a few steps away, and Congress Park is a short walk as well. Saratoga Race Course wasn't open during my stay, but it is about a mile to the East, either a 30 minute walk or a 5 minute drive. I definitely recommend the Hampton Inn Saratoga Springs, not only for the cleanliness , but for the helpful and friendly staff, the location, and the comfortable rooms!…
This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at since the COVID-19 situation. We pretty much had the entire hotel to ourselves. I was nervous, but everything was fine. Lobby is beautiful, large, nicely decorated, and had many spots to sit and visit with family. The indoor pool and hot tub weren’t open, but looked very nice and large. The hotel is one block from downtown, and a great location to walk to everything. Our room was a double queen and was very spacious. We had a double balcony with a table with four chairs, and we were able to eat our dinner on the balcony. Just a note that they do not have the breakfast buffet but provided a small “breakfast bag” to go. Housekeeping didn’t come in after our first night because of COVID-19, but the front desk had everything we needed. Overall, a very nice stay.…
My wife and I stayed in the Hampton Inn Saratoga over Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. The staff, especially Kyle the manager were friendly and helpful. Also it seemed that someone was always cleaning. We always felt safe, and social distancing at this hotel was easy. Only down side was that the regular breakfast buffet was not available (maybe this is an upside?), but there was plenty of coffee and a free brown bag breakfast available every day. My wife and I had takeout from local restaurants which we walked to and our room had a microwave. We needed a change of scenery and this was perfect.
This was a really well maintained hotel - nice lobby and eating areas, clean, pleasant room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location is terrific - walk to Saratoga's best restaurants, bars, and shops. I stayed here for a conference at the Hilton. I recommend staying at the Hampton if your conference is there - nicer hotel at this point.
The staff here is always very freindly and accomodating. Great location for hitting the main strip in Saratoga. Rooms are in good shape and clean, parking is easy. We have stayed here a few times. We checked in this weekend to celebrate our 20 year wedding anniversary and they upgraded us to a beautiful king suite. That was very nice - but I would have given them a good review anyway.
