We enjoyed a Friday evening meal at the Meyers Steakhouse. It was quite busy ( a good sign) but we were seated quite quickly. We both had the fish, which was a special, and it was delish. Very large portion and great pub fries. Oh and the draft was pretty good too. Would certainly go to the restaurant again. Yum.

This inn offers very basic rooms similar to what you would find at a bed and breakfast, but without the breakfast. The TV in our room was the old tube style. We had cable with just the basic channels and standard definition. The air conditioner was helpful in drowning out noise from the street. The Wi-Fi connection was fine. Since they don't offer breakfast, we stopped at Tim Horton's in town after checking out. We've paid less at other hotels that were more modern & included breakfast, but since there are not many other hotels in this area, it was okay. We liked the convenience of having a restaurant for dinner on site. I reviewed Myer's Steakhouse separately under restaurants.

Salamanca is a shanty town, a far cry from its Spanish counterpart. Most houses are empty and falling apart, since they have been abandoned by tenants who left their worthless, moth eaten belongings on the street in a sort of hasty evacuation drill. In this capital of uncollected garbage, Myers Steakhouse and Inn is still alive, and its large restaurant serves edible, if unimaginative, food. The weak point is the inn. The rooms, which the manager defines cozy on the brochure, were maybe so during JFK Presidency. Mine was dusty, with vintage mattress, TV-set, bathroom, and equally vintage noisy AC. The access stairwell had dirty, stained carpeting. The next morning I was the only human being in the building: I left my room key on the night table and left. No breakfast available on site or in the surroundings.

I stopped here while traveling through town. The menu had plenty of choices the staff was friendly though a little overwhelmed at the Sudden Rush of customers. And the food was very very good. I would not hesitate to return

Stayed in the inn to avoid driving back to Buffalo after a concert at the casino. Was pleasantly surprised at how comfortable and clean the rooms were. Had a drink before we went to concert(free fresh popcorn), great bar and bartender was very friendly. Next time we stay we will try the food. Would recommend . Only complaint was that the walls seamed a little thin and could hear your neighbors a little .
