We enjoyed our stay at BC very much. The front desk was friendly and helpful. We were greeted with champagne on check in which is a nice touch. The view of the marina was great from the front porch of the hotel. The pool area was well attended by friendly and helpful staff. The gym was fine and free yoga was given every am. We had breakfast at the hotel which was very good and reasonably priced. We also enjoyed drinks before dinner on the patio overlooking the marina. Beach passes were provided as well as a shuttle. The town is a short walk away for dinner and shopping. Rooms were good sized and bathrooms well appointed. Nespresso machines were in rooms. What more do you need? Nice stay for a short vacation and nice job by BC staff.
Overall great hotel in the Hamptons. Obviously it’s very expensive a night, but i shared with my girlfriends so it wasn’t so bad. The pool, the service and the food were all top notch. The only issue we had was the temperature in our room. Yes it’s the height of summer, but even with our ac on the lowest temp and highest fan, it was extremely hot in our room. We asked multiple times for maintenance to take a look and no one showed up. Finally we just asked for a fan to be brought in. Which we received but it was a HUGE and very loud fan. They need to get their ac replaced asap.
Barons Cove is my favorite hotel in Sag Harbor, located right on the water and walking distance from town. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and there is a great pool on the property. I recommend grabbing a drink on the porch to watch the sunset. During our most recent stay there was an issue with our originally booked room so the manager, Kristen, quickly took the initiative to provide us with alternate accommodations and even upgraded our room the following night to a beautiful suite overlooking the pool.
I’ve been staying at Baron’s Cove for 5 summers now. I most recently stayed there in July of 2022 and already plan to come back in August. I have also stayed during the fall and the winter and each time is a different type of special. Kristen at the front desk is fabulous and extremely helpful. Additionally, Ron, the beverage director is exceptional, he really knows his wines and does his best to add great value to your stay. He truly cares about each guest’s experience, is very receptive to feedback and is constantly working to improve the hotel and it’s services. They really stepped up their pool staff this summer as well and their bar staff, especially Akeem (who is not new), is one of the best bartenders, if not the best, in the Hampton's. Baron's is a rare gem in the Hampton’s, having both a pool with full poolside service, walking distance to the town of Sag Harbor and provides access and setup at the nearby beaches. It’s a one of a kind place in the Hamptons that’s great for couples, friends or families. The food is also excellent!…
Baron's Cove is a quaint resort in Sag Harbor, Hamptons - in walking distance from several boutiques, restaurants, and bars. We chose a Harbor King Room which was spacious and provided a picnic table and armchairs outside. The pool is small and grass lined, but has a few cabanas, ping pong tables, and other outdoor games. You can rent bikes for free; only downside is there are none sized for children (and to the best of my knowledge, none with children's safety seats). The restaurant is good, but with so many wonderful options a rock's through away, I'd say eat onsite just once. Wait staff is friendly and came to know us by the end of the trip. Crowd consists mostly of couples and younger families.
My mother and I stayed here and had the best time. The rooms were so clean, the pool and food was great. We had a driver from the hotel named Mohammed who went above and beyond for us, showed us around Sag Harbor and was so helpful.
I just spent eight glorious days in a ground floor Harbor King room. It was huge, I had a large brick patio with a picnic table and armchairs. I was near the gorgeous pool. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. I love the town of Sag Harbor, but frankly I did not want to leave. The food was delicious- I had breakfast and dinners outside and lunch at the pool.I was blessed with good weather. The crowd consisted of couples and young parents mostly, and most were quiet and refined. I have travelled all over the world and was amazed to find this kind of service and cleanliness in the Hamptons!
Stayed here last weekend. I have to say that the restaurant quality may have gone down since a couple of years ago - i think the chef changed. A few years ago it was top notch. They charged $1775 for last minute reservation (discounted) for a loft. Normally, they charge $2,000. Since we called reservation number to get the room(s) - they did not offer a free breakfast. Another "complaint" i would have is that the loft is two stories with a bed upstairs and fold out couch downstairs and only one bathroom downstairs - not convenient. I would just say overpriced but nice atmosphere, location, and wait staff in the upstairs restaurant was very nice. the guy at front desk was the only one most helpful there
Promptly after checking out of Baron’s Cove I received an email requesting my feedback, to which I replied. That was two months ago and I have not received as much as an acknowledgement from management. SERVICE First impressions are meaningful, and my first impression upon checking in was unfavorable. I wouldn’t even grade it “mediocre”. I approached a young man to check-in around a quarter to 4pm, introducing myself. Instead of receiving a welcoming reply what I received was: “Your room will not be ready until 4pm. We will text you when it is ready. ID and a credit card, please.” That’s it. What happened to “Welcome to Baron’s Cove, Mr. Nerland. We are happy to have you stay with us. If there is anything we can get or do for you, don’t hesitate to ask” … or something such? For the remainder of our stay his head was buried in a computer, never so much as bothering to look up to acknowledge guests. This experience was contrary to the online experience I enjoyed with Kristen, who was attentive, friendly and professional. The bar’s bartender and waitstaff were also inattentive, for lack of training, with the exception of a female hostess who was attentive, friendly and seasoned. It took two bar hosts to determine what herbal tea is, and when they did they couldn’t convey what varieties were available (this is, after all, a hotel with a restaurant and room service). And still another forgot to place an appetizer order (the same adept female bar hostess picked up the slack and made it happen). I didn’t realize we had booked Baron’s Cove during training camp and often wondered, “Where is management?” By contrast, the wait staff in the restaurant were very attentive, and the ladies responsible for housekeeping were the most friendly faces we encountered during our stay. HOTEL The look and feel of Baron’s Cove is undeniably welcoming, tasteful and comfortable with an eastern coastal vibe. The bar is the heart of the hotel, a convivial meeting place for guests and locals alike with ample seating provided by a wall of commodious sofas. On cool evenings a crackling fire creates a cozy ambiance inside while on warmer days French doors are thrown open to an enclosed terrace equipped with heat lamps when chill sets in. The nautical themed restaurant is on the second level offering limited views of the bay beyond. The bedrooms are spacious and attractive with comfortable beds, seating and a private terrace that accesses a path in ground floor rooms. You can visit their website for features and amenities. While attractive and comfortable quality of construction is not high, as mere sound walking across the room above us was amplified, and we could easily discern conversations in the room next to us. RESTAURANT and CUISINE The bar and restaurant food will not disappoint: it was delicious and attractively presented. Cocktails varied depending upon who the bartender was. We enjoyed wonderful meals and service in the restaurant on all occasions. See their website for menu options.…
We recently returned to Baron's Cove for Father's Day wknd and wanted to give a special mention about Mohamad who is one of the team members at Baron's Cove. Mohamad is a very professional, kind and helpful gentleman that we had the pleasure of meeting last summer during our frequent stays there. It is always nice to see a familiar and friendly face who goes out of his way to make guests feel warm and welcome.
