Just Wow! We have just spent 5 nights at Barons Cove and would recommend to anyone!.

The location is stunning, right on the marina with lovely views to wake up to and a nice sun set as well. You are 3-4 mins from Sag Main Street but far enough away be a lovely calm environment.

We stayed in a Loft suite and the room was stunning. Split level with lots of living space and a great balcony overlooking the pool. Nespresso machine with fresh pods each day. As an English couple the absence of a kettle was missed but we cheekily bought a kettle in town and with a fridge in the room could keep milk fresh!

The Food is very good. Breakfast is a great selection and very flexible with what you can order and in what combination, the smoothies especially were excellent. We had dinner one night on the hotel balcony and the food matched the view, both are outstanding. Very pleasant bar and terrace for a drink pre or post dinner also.

What sets the hotel apart though is the staff. They were so good I made a point of getting names to email the hotel directly to praise them. We had an issue on the first evening with the room which Maria on the front desk listened to, came and checked out and agreed we needed to move rooms. No fault of the hotel just an AC issue that couldn't be avoided. However the way Maria dealt with it was first class and she had us moved and settled in in no time. She then went out of her way to speak to her colleague Saeed ( on his night off bless him) to ensure we didn't need to move again later in the week despite all rooms being booked.

I must also mention Saeed for his general help and recommendations and friendliness, Mohamed on the front desk for the same and his incredibly cheerful demeanour, Cassandra in the restaurant, Kitty for her impeccable drinks delivery and her softened Irish accent and Mr Kitty as he became known ( Adam) out at the pool. All of them raise the level of the stay to top class and I have to say with incredible patience having seen how other guests treat them. They are all wonderfully managed and looked after by Caroline as Concierge clearly has the patience of a saint.

All in all a great hotel, staffed by wonderful people in a perfect location.

For approximately the last five years, my daughter and I have enjoyed the wonderful accommodations, hospitality, picturesque location and exceptional friendly services at Baron’s Cove. Be it summer, fall or Thanksgiving Day, Baron’s Cove never disappoints. The atmosphere and ambiance are ideal for a family gathering, bridal party, wedding, or simply a weekend getaway for fun in the sun which could likely turn into a longer vacay, that is if one is lucky enough to extend the stay. Believe me, Baron’s Cove is one of the hottest locations in Sag Harbor. Weekend evenings bring in patrons from all walks of life. The hotel restaurant serves some of the best entrees, service is impeccable and the bar lounge is so conducive for enjoying top shelf liquors, wines and cocktails while conversing with family and friends while listening to live music of all genres. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge one of the “most talented and professional” bartenders throughout Suffolk County — the Renowned, KAMANI! When Kamani serves you, it’s difficult to leave the bar.

Of course, Baron’s entire staff, starting with Jose, Ron, Kristan, the front desk staff, Baron’s creative chef, the servers, engineers, complimentary car service, housekeeping and last but by no means the least, the pool attendants who each summer, travel from European locations to fully train, fall in place and serve us hotel guests in the most friendly, warm and gracious manner. This summer, Kitty, Johnnie, Finn’s brother, along with several other outstanding pool staffers and two upcoming and hard-working younger male pool attendants maintained the
swimming pool in the most orderly, comfortable, clean and relaxing manner. My daughter and I never wanted for anything the entire day. It was simply over a week of fun in the sun at the pool and/or the beach!

Lastly, after a full day of enjoying whatever your heart desires, it is so comforting to return to a Harbor Room or Baron Loft and relax in the best of hotel settings, from the contemporary living and sleeping areas to a spacious patio or terrace overlooking the pool and a gorgeous pier and dock.

In closing, a vacation spent at Baron’s Cove is a vacation well spent. You will leave Baron’s with plans to return. Cheers to Baron’s Cove!

Too many perfect things about this stay to point out, from the moment you enter the parking lot you can see the Beauty of Baron's. Kristen at the front desk is beyond friendly, knows the property well and will help you with anything you need. The Harbor Loft had amazing views of harbor and beautiful main building. Everything was in top condition, housekeeping was very attentive the entire stay. Enjoyed just spending quiet time in the lounge by the fire, eating upstairs with views of the harbor and delicious food, getting a martini in the lounge, etc. You're also a short block from Main st and all of the must see spots in Sag. Can't wait to come back to Baron's for future trips! After check out we visited sister property the Pridwin and it was just as amazing.

Baron’s Cove management should be absolutely ashamed of how they treat potential customers and guests. My father booked a room less than four weeks ago for a short stay and then 19 days before his visit he had a freak accident, broke his femur and part of his hip. While anyone can understand rules of a cancellation policy and we certainly do, Barons Cove refused to offer us the ability to cancel because we were not 21 days (we were 19) outside of his stay despite the ample time they would still have to fill the room. It is truly unkind and shows zero empathy. I definitely wouldn’t want to have any kind of issue there with such unflexible and unkind management team. These are not the type of people I look for in the service industry. All potential customers should be aware and think carefully before booking anything here. I highly doubt they could have anything other than horrific service and treatment of guests. My travel agent warned me they were riding and I didn’t take it seriously.. she will never work with them… gross!

Dear B9172AMandreat, I certainly understand that the first impression you received while attempting to cancel your booking was not in tune with the level of service we pride ourselves in offering our guests. I do believe there was a slight misunderstanding as your reservation for August was still active and had been escalated for review. I hope that your father is doing well and feeling better by the day. I am sure your father will enjoy Baron’s Cove at a time which works better for him. We look forward to hearing from you again in the future and, in the interim, remain at your service. Kind Regards, Jose Lema General Manager

Baron’s Cove did not disappoint. I was so happy to find a place that was comfortable and I felt safe and secure. The stand alone shower with the makeup Wipes and mouth wash was thoughtful. All products such as shower bel and great lotion products as well. Friendly staff and communication from housekeeping and front desk via text was a nice touch to keep me update and informed.

Like most places in the Hamptons, the restaurant at Baron's Cove is overpriced. The decor is meant to look "Olde Sag Harbour" and, it does. It's quite cozy. But, the service, particularly in the bar area has always been oddly slow ... to the point of being frustrating ... even when it isn't crowded.

Our experience with this hotel was very frustrating. Had an ant invasion in our bathroom around 9:30pm and called the front desk to see if they could help us. We asked to be moved to another room, was put on hold for 15 minutes, came back on and they said we could be moved tonight but would need to go back to that room the next night because they were sold out and incoming guests had assigned rooms. In addition, because they couldn’t work the computer system to move us to a different room for both nights, they just said there’s nothing they could do. What a bunch of BS they gave us since we were PAYING GUESTS who were already there and they wouldn’t just move us to the same room for our two night stay and assign the incoming guests another room. After adamantly denying us a room change, said they would spray windex in the bathroom to clean it up, and we’d have to sleep with the smell all night, just perfect but we had no choice since we weren’t going to move twice. Someone else called back and tried changing the computer system once again but after being on hold for another 15 minutes we were told nothing they can do. Sold out. Bottom line, this hotel was very unaccommodating and had an unprofessional staff who could not or would not go out of their way to solve our situation professionally. We would not recommend this property to anyone.

Stayed here last weekend. I have to say that the restaurant quality may have gone down since a couple of years ago - i think the chef changed. A few years ago it was top notch. They charged $1775 for last minute reservation (discounted) for a loft. Normally, they charge $2,000. Since we called reservation number to get the room(s) - they did not offer a free breakfast. Another "complaint" i would have is that the loft is two stories with a bed upstairs and fold out couch downstairs and only one bathroom downstairs - not convenient. I would just say overpriced but nice atmosphere, location, and wait staff in the upstairs restaurant was very nice. the guy at front desk was the only one most helpful there

After a summer of COVID and social distancing, my husband and I were looking forward to a change of scenery and a close getaway - Sag Harbor fit the bill.

Prior to arrival I had contacted the front desk about their COVID policies and protocols and they filled in the blanks of what was not noted on their website. I requested no pillows and duvets on the beds, since we would supply our own. When we arrived the room was just as requested and I advised we would not need housekeeping to come in. Chambermaids were available throughout the day to supply any toiletries or towels requested. The staff was wearing masks, as well as most of the guests( it was required but some guests were lax about this around the pool). The room was very nice, clean and the staff was accommodating. Since it is close to town, you don't need a car for most restaurants.

Location, staff and the quality of the resort, make it a very desirable repeat destination.

When we arrived we were greeted by a very unfriendly receptionist who looked so unwelcoming, and we were surprised to find that the view of the Harbor included a large ugly road bridge. The breakfast service was painfully slow, and at night we could hear people walking around and flushing the toilet in the room above us.

Having said all that, it is s charming hotel and it’s in a great location and the rooms were comfortable and we had s great time.
