Loved visiting. We stayed in the manor mostly because I love B& B breakfasts, and was not disappointed. The Yurts looked amazing as well and were just as comfortable looking as our room. Our room was the one with a private bath not attached to the room, but that was not an issue. The bath was large, comfortable, and walking three feet down the hall was not a big ask, especially while in the most comfortable robe that was provided. The location is great for staying and touring the wine trail or any hiking trails. We visited in Nov. so swimming off the dock did not happen, but we did take a walk down and would have really enjoyed the space in the warmer months. There were other guests enjoying the bonfire and we would have joined them if we didn't have dinner plans. All the guests were friendly, mostly because it is a friendly atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing, did I say that already? Fabulous hosts, and fantastic rooms

What a great experience at Yale Manor! We had never stayed in a yurt before and thought it would be fun and it was. Fully furnished, shower and sink in bath area and microwave and toaster oven and sink in kitchen area. So spacious —30 ft in diameter and estimate 28 ft high in the center. On one of our 3 nights it rained heavily but remained bone dry inside. The breakfast treats in the refrigerator were excellent— we cooked eggs and enjoyed the Keurig coffee. Rode 2 of the 6 bicycles available down to the lake. Kathryn was always available and very helpful. Enjoyed the sunsets and short trips to Geneva, and Skaneateles. We will be back

Such a relaxing charming home. Views of the lake, plenty of property and very friendly horse and donky bff combo! The breakfasts were delicious with plenty of options, coffee, tea and fresh juices. My room was large with a working fireplace that heated the room in no time, gorgeous two person shower snd a copper soaking tub ! The house is beautiful with decorated with local decor and antiques. You will not be dissapointed

My husband and I spent a relaxing 4 nights at Yale Manor in September 2024. We stayed in the Manor itself, occupying the Canandaigua Room. The grounds were serenely pastoral and quiet, and the room was comfortable with old fashioned decor that perfectly matched the stately manor. The Manor contained a parlor and a library which one could retreat to for reading or relaxing. Yale Manor has a Boat House on Seneca Lake a short walk from the Manor. There is a dock, a pier, chairs, tables and loungers, and a room in the boat house which can be used for sheltered picnic meals. Breakfast was satisfying, though there were not many choices (either the single 'entree of the day,' or yogurt and granola). All in all it was a pleasant stay.

We had never stayed in a yurt, and didn't really know what to expect. We had seen one in a state park several years ago , but this was nothing like that. This was amazing! It was somehow roomy and cozy at the same time, kind of a mix between a tent, a cabin and a fancy hotel room. It was close to nature, with a great view of Seneca Lake and just a short trip to the boat house on the shore which we could use. There were 2 chairs and a fire pit outside our yurt, and a grill to be shared by the 4 yurts. Yet the inside was beautiful with high-end amenities like a king size bed with luxury linens, a full bath with plush towels, a gas fireplace and smart TV. There was also a small kitchenette--no stove, but a microwave, toaster oven, Keurig and small fridge. Glasses, plates, silverware, etc. were there for our use. And the fridge was stocked with coffee, juice and milk, eggs, bagels, fruit, and small pastries. We were very impressed by the thoughtful touches. Also, we are big winery fans, and this was a great location to visit wineries, some within a few minutes drive. We stayed 2 nights and it was wonderful. I would definitely come back.

Stayed in the Canandaigua Room which is a large suite. The bathroom is as big as the bedroom! The breakfast was good, the bed comfortable, and the shower was ok. Not great water pressure considering it's a shower for 2. The cost is high - $300 per night on holiday weekend for the room. But the location is perfect. Close to many wineries, a quick walk to the lake. There is a Yale Manor dock and beach building outfitted with swimming & water sport equipment for guest use. We used the dock a couple times & I loved sitting on it to watch sunset. The house is a beautiful property and walking on Yale Farm Rd is picturesque.

You can not wish for a better place to stay on Finger Lakes! We are 4 people, 2 adults and 2 teenagers stayed in one of the yurts last week. This was our 1st yurt experience and we didn't know what to expect besides what I heard from Katherine when I made our reservation. It was everything she described to me over the phone. It is huge, the size of a city's apartment, with a bedroom, living room, kitchen and big bathroom. The windows are all around the yurt giving you opportunity for great air ventilation and multiple beautiful views: one way on the manor, another way on horse stable and the field and the other on the lake. The lake is only 3 minute walk away and has a private beach, which is the best, cleanest, quietest, secluded spot to swim, do BBQ or relax. It was the highlight of our trip! The food in our refrigerator supplied by Katherine was of the best quality. Katherine is a very intelligent person, she runs her business very smartly, but at the same time she is a very caring person. Our daughter was suppose to have her college orientation for 3 days, a few hours each day. It will be her 1st year in college and it was important for her to be present at each video call. It just happened that exactly at our arrival, the internet was very spotty in our yurt. Katherine not only let her come over and work inside of the manor's library on each day but also closed part of the house just for her to not distract other guests or them not to distract her. At the end of our trip she let us have a late check out which gave us another opportunity to enjoy the lake. Thank you Katherine, we will definitely come back sometime and will recommend you to our people!

We stayed in a yurt and couldn't have been more pleased with the actual set-up. Comfortable bed, good sized shower (not a tiny stall), couch, table, kitchen area, etc. The fridge/yurt was well stocked with breakfast items as well (breakfast pastries, bagels, eggs, granola, yogurt, berries, etc,). My only comment to anyone looking to stay here was watch the weather. We were not expecting 90 degrees in mid-May and the yurt would heat up during the day. Even with the windows opened and the dome popped open, it got pretty warm inside. However, by the time we went to sleep, it was back to being very comfortable.

Great review, thank you. Yes, weather is all over the map these days. Could be snowing (which it did the week earlier!!). Honeoye is our warmest yurt - the other three have shade that makes a huge difference if you are in there midafternoon. Most folks are out and about during this time, and it's a good plan to do that if the weather is unseasonable. In summer, you can just go jump in the lake to cool off, but it's too cold in May to tell people to jump in the lake!! hahaha. Thanks again for the review.

This is probably my first ever negative review in my life. My wife and I are very easy going, travel rarely and do not expect perfection. The 3 stars I gave are for 3 specific things. The location was great! The food, rooms, and staff (not owners!!!!!) were great. The bed and bathroom were comfortable.
Obviously the issues were concerning the 2 owners of the Yale Manor. We have stayed at a bed and breakfast before and always noticed the owners were so welcoming and made us feel very comfortable. This was not the case at all. Our second night there was big playoff game on TV so after a amazing day in the finger lakes drinking wine, eating good food, and laughing with our friends we were excited to possible watch our hometown team that night in the living room. If it were other guests watching the only cable TV in the house we would totally understand and maybe head back out to the bar. Oh but NO, it was the owners sprawled out in the only living room letting us know they are watching the football game, for which they screamed, cursed, and even fought with each other at one point. Extremely odd behavior from what we expected at a B & B.
There's more- ha The next morning we chalked it up to maybe it was their alma mater and understood because we are big sports fans etc. But no, the next morning at 9:00am the same owner (woman) strolled down during our wonderful breakfast in her PJ's and took over the living room again now screaming and f-bombing during the morning Buffalo Bills game (because it was played in London).
I am mainly writing because I want future guests to understand that this is not the typical B & B experience. You are staying in THEIR house and simply renting a room and shower.

This was the perfect kind of glamping. The Yurt was incredibly spacious and comfortable. It felt private but there was always someone available if needed. The area was close to activities with easy drives to wineries, restaurants, hiking trails. Everyone we met were friendly and welcoming. Definitely try it out!
