No one look like there wanted to be at work and never smiled, but the only one that smiledat all times was the guy at the bar. The gift shop was plain and front desk people never greeted you with " Hi welcome to Hyatt" and serviced me alittle attituide, until the found out I was doing a Audit of the hotel and a shock holder and why would security stop me and asked what I'm doing when I'm taking pictures and follow me around after I told him I'm doing a Audit and same staff not dress professional, wearing personal wear, aaand this is a Hyatt. Plus front desk staff using there cellular for personal use and I believe it was one of the lady manager.
By far the best hotel I have ever stayed at , as I grew up going on multiple vacations per year. I don’t think I will ever use another hotel , and I will always use this Rochester location in the future when coming to visit family in the area !
Very expensive, over $250 a night for a bed..Located in a completely horrible location, I was afraid to walk outside, all businesses are closed, with broken windows...the area is bad, nothing in walking distance, have to pay for parking, room was ... ok... hotel pool was far from good, hot tub closed, gym is small, service not great. I would stay somewhere else, other than the lobby that looks nice, there is nothing to justify this price, no wow factor what so ever... Elevator keeps on ringing at all hours of the night, doesn't make it for a great night!
Overall very good experience on our first visit. Clean & comfortable room. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff. Excellent price. I was concerned beforehand about parking, but parking in the garage was very easy and convenient.
We stayed at the Hyatt for my sister’s wedding. It was very nice, spacious, and clean. The staff was very accommodating and the e-check in and out was super convenient! Only complaint was the housekeeping trying to clean out our room at 9 AM. I hadn’t even checked out yet and there was a short two knocks before they tried entering the room.
This hotel should be a shame to carry the Hyatt name. It’s nothing like other hyatts and the service is worse than a motel 6. Rooms were dirty, staff said they couldn’t clean the room or move us until 3pm the next day.
The staff and hotel overall is nice but unfortunately it’s very dirty. Our room was very dirty with lots of dust and missed areas and stains. Our shower pooled with water and didn’t drain well and the toilet was very slow and inconsistent to flush. The hotel would be so much better if it was properly cleaned. Even in the restaurant all the window ledges were covered with dirt and dead bugs.
While staff excellent, location of hotel in downtown area is a safety and aesthetic concern and I did not feel safe to leave hotel on foot and nothing around worth visiting. Also soundproofing of rooms terrible as you can hear everything said or done in certain adjoining rooms which required me to change rooms during stay.
Bathroom shower had no shower curtain. Asked for one to be installed but nothing was done. Floor lamp literally fell apart when I tried to turn it on. Breakfast was underwhelming. Air conditioner rattled loudly whenever it turned on.
During the day it's ok but not safe to walk around outside at night. Room had a great view but was not the cleanest. Expensive for what it was. Staff was nice. Next time ill stay somewhere outside the city.
