I am avid traveler- on the road every week staying in hotels. While working in Rochester, this has been my go-to hotel since the beginning of this year because of its cleanliness. The hotel is fairly new and it shows. I steered clear of writing a review about the other not-so-great things because cleanliness is most important to me when I travel. However, for those of you who want the bells and whistles (literally), you may be disappointed. I have stayed in about 8 different rooms in this hotel and NEVER has there been a working alarm clock or a phone that dials to anywhere else in the hotel (like to the front desk to get a wake up call because the alarm clock doesn’t work!) For a newer hotel, you’d expect everything to be working. Upon checking in, I was told the wi-fi has been a bit “shaky” and I was given a promotional code to connect another way. Mind you, I was only told this because I had not yet received my digital key and while asking the front desk attendant about that, I thought to try getting on the wi-fi to be able to get my digital key…that’s when I was told the wi-fi was shaky. I’m glad that happened or I would never have gotten the promotional code to use when I got to my room and I would not have had internet access. I’ll end by saying, again, the hotel is super clean. Just be prepared for some electronic and internet snafus.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn after a miserable experience at the Courtyard, and it was a welcome change. It’s perfectly situated next to the Strong Museum, the team members are friendly and helpful, and there’s a decent restaurant in the lobby with a great kids menu. The parking can be a little tricky, but all in all this is a nice, new, family-friendly hotel.

The hotel is beautifully decorated, modern, chic and clean. The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. We had dinner from the hotel bar and it was delicious. The complimentary breakfast was well stocked with options like blueberry infused water. Highly recommend.

New and very nice Hampton in great location with restaurants and attractions in walking distance. There is also a small restaurant in the hotel; a bit pricey but good! Room was very clean and nice. Staff was great! Breakfast was decent and dining area is large. Free parking on site; we had no issues. Did not use pool or fitness room due to lack of time but both looked nice.

I travel to Rochester 5 or 6 times a year for business - usually for just one night, so the mid level hotels work well for me. Similar nearby hotels have gotten a lot more expensive recently and others have gotten a little worn and dated. Location & parking here is great - well lit when I arrived after dark. Rooms (I was in a double queen) have good space and plenty of lights and outlets for both beds and at the desk. Beds are comfortable and high. HVAC is comfortable and easy to use. Bathroom is bright with lots of towels with plenty of space on the vanity. Since the museum is literally within throwing distance, I wasn’t surprised there is a tub/shower for families instead of a walk-in shower which is common at other new hotels. Gym is clean - but the bicycles are peloton which is a pain for non-members. Odd that the TV is only visible from the pelotons which have their own screens & classes. There are 3 treadmills and free weights for a few people. Free breakfast is good with lots of seating. Staff is great - and very personable and professional. The best surprise is this hotel has a very good bar and restaurant - Lila’s- which is a nice surprise. It serves real food, nice wine & beer selection and a professional bartender. Comfortable tables and plenty of seating. For those who are Hilton brand status conscious, don’t worry, you’ll be recognized and rewarded accordingly. But it’s nice to see they welcome everyone just as graciously - whether you are diamond or just visiting.

Convenient, spacious, free parking, free buffet breakfast, clean and new. Cons: safe was already locked and we didn't bother waiting for them to fix it. Shower water was luke warm and low pressure. Pros: Walked to Strong Museum across the street, walked to Nerdvana Restaurant across the street (highly recommend if you like gaming). 15 minute drive to shopping. Kids loved the spinning chairs next to hotel lobby and their bunk beds. Breakfast buffet always stocked and clean - cereal, coffee, juices, eggs, potatoes, bacon, muffins, toast, and 2 waffle makers. Microwave and mini fridge in room. Always found a parking spot. Plenty of towels. Free wifi.

Decent stay. It's a new property as others have mentioned. The rooms aren't the largest, the breakfast is average, and the service is okayish (but super polite). I think they are too new to be criticized a lot. The main advantage is it's right across the Museum of Play and if you know the right door (there's door across a long corridor across the bar), you can be less than 50 metres from the entrance of the museum which is an excellent place to spend time at with your LOs. Please note that the pool area tends to get crowded on weekends and you have a lotttt of kids in the hotel. The hotel also seems to get a lot of its clientele from Ontario in Canada. So, fellow Ontarians, in the words of Michael Jackson, "You are not alone..."

We made plans to stay here since we were going to the Strong Museum. I didn't realize it was right next door which was awesome. The hotel is new, so it's super clean. My one gripe is there are only outlets and lights in between the two queen size beds. Most likely, it will be 2 adults and 1 or 2 kids in the other bed. Don't both adults deserve outlets and light? A little frustrating since this is a brand new hotel which means they chose to do it that way recently! The breakfast is nice and it was different each day. Variety is nice. The gym was very clean, bright and airy. Free, ample parking is nice too.

Great hotel to stay with your family. It is right next to the Strong Museum of Play, very convenient if you plan to visit. There are a variety of restaurants that are walkable in the neighbourhood- although not all kids friendly. Would love it if the hotel had a restaurant since they already provide breakfast. They could consider providing complimentary water in the room but there is a water filling station by the gym if you bring your own bottles. Otherwise, love the breakfast provided and great place to go with family since it has a pool and each room has a microwave and fridge. The service is not always the best eg., they need more staff to clean off breakfast tables more frequently and more towels are often needed in the swimming pool. Also would be nice if they could provide a stool for those with kids as young kids cannot always reach the faucet in the bathroom.

A brand new hotel- what more could you want? Everything was crisp and new! One of the nicest Hamptons we’ve stayed at. Breakfast buffet was ok - we missed having the waffle toppings! Oatmeal was not replenished. But no big deal- still lots to choose from. There is SO MUCH seating! So many places to relax - fireplaces throughout the bar/dining area. Comfy chairs and tasteful aesthetic - did not feel like a Hampton. Pool area was clean, bright and nice. Parking lot was small but felt safe. Never had an issue getting a spot. Located directly next to the Strong Museum and about five minutes from the Genesee Brew House. Would absolutely stay here again.
