Just spent two nights there. I was immediately impressed with the cleanliness of property and room. Motel is obviously old but very well maintained. Upgrades are apparent, particularly in the bathroom. Owners very friendly and wanted to make sure I would be comfortable. I usually have trouble getting a good nights sleep in hotel beds. Not here. Slept very well each night. Price wise it was a definite bargain and will be my go to motel the next time I’m passing through.
Stayed here rather than pay exorbitant prices in Cooperstown for ordinary hotels. Family run with friendly and helpful owners. No frills but very clean and comfortable room. Would highly recommend for budget travelers.
I have stayed here a couple of time. Rooms are exceptionally clean, and the service is very friendly. The location is just a few minutes from Cooperstown, and the Mohawk Valley. I highly recommend. There are a few good food choices within walking distance.
Wife and passing through after hitting a couple of breweries. Perfect for us - inexpensive - No frills but great little place! Clean, comfortable bed, good size refrigerator/freezer, TV, bathroom was fine. Can walk to all in sleepy little town. Was a good experience!
We usually visit the area once a year and have been staying here for about 3 years. The rooms are clean and quiet. Parking is convenient and restaurants are nearby. I would recommend this to individuals and families traveling.
We were on our way to Cooperstown and settled in here for the night. It's not fancy but it is clean and comfortable and had everything we needed including a good size refrigerator with a freeze. The owner was easily accessible for a quick check in and check out. Helpful and friendly. The Tally-Ho restaurant is right next door for a good breakfast. Spring Park is right across the street with several historical markers and the original mineral springs. There are other places to eat and historic sites within walking distance. If you are going to Cooperstown take a few extra minutes to stop and enjoy the sitghts at Lake Canadarago along the way.
Driving to Cooperstown, NY..............we wanted to stay outside the town where the rates would be high, so we looked into this place. Richfield Springs is only about 20 minutes from The Baseball HOF and very convenient. We loved it and found it to be a great bargain. We would absolutely stay there again.
Motel is older but is very clean and well kept. The women that runs the place is very accommodating, will do whatever it takes to make your stay a pleasant one. Will always stay here when visiting Richfield.
There are not many price bargains around Cooperstown, NY. Richfield Springs is about fourteen miles north up a lovely drive, a small town with a hardware, a drug store, a quite large grocery (Price Chopper), a couple gas stations and a smattering of very modest restaurants. Village Inn is a modest, small strip motel very near the center of town. At first glance the room looks tiny and incomplete. But further inspection reveals cleanliness and about everything we were looking for. It has good WI-FI, microwave, fridge with freezer, firm mattress and several plastic cups. We did not try the air conditioner as it was a cool July day nor did we use the shower. There is no breakfast or room coffee maker. Village Inn was a bit less expensive than the competition in a very high tourist season and we would gladly consider staying there again.…
While it is true this place is not super modern, it is incredibly clean and comfortable. Rooms have minifridges and microwaves and plenty of tv channel options. They even have complimentary water bottles for you. The owners are very friendly and nice. We felt welcome and comfortable here.
