My husand and I took our 3 year old on an extended weekend to Rhinebeck and boy did we pick the right place! Nothing like having your son wake up and look out the window and see a few horses grazing and chickens feeding. The fresh ans delicious breakfasts are to die for and the guest suites are immaculate. And,... More

Great place. Gorgeous rooms and grounds. Lou fed us till we burst. Late night desserts put me in a coma. Would love to see the place pollen free in the fall.

I came to Whistlewood after dreaming of a romantic weekend getaway for weeks. I had long ago picked it out as my ideal B&B, and after a particularly hectic week in the city, decided this upcoming weekend was the one I would try it out. Whistlewood far exceed my expectations in every way. I could not have imagined a more... More

We were looking for a relaxing get-away weekend up in Rhinebeck and from a recommendation of a friend decided to stay at Whistlewood. The owner (Maggie) was a lovely and gracious host. The grounds are charming, accommodations were fantastic, (check out the Wyoming room) and overall it was a wonderful experience. We'll definitely go back!

Thank you so very much for your lovely review of my farm. Please come back and see our lodge rooms now that they have been redecorated. Spring is just getting here in Rhinebeck, the birds are nesting and the flowers are starting to come up. It was great having you here. More

We arrived at Whistlewood Farm and were greeted by Barbara, the manager of the bed and breakfast. She immediately showed us around the inn and also provided us with menus of good restaurants in nearby Rhineback where we went for dinner. Barbara set the tone for the rest of our stay with her warmth and friendliness. We stayed in The... More

It was good to hear that you enjoyed the farm and enjoyed the countryside surrounding the farm as well. We enjoy having guests that like to wander the grounds and walking trails. I love making the woodland paths so my guests can see our local flora and fauna. This year we have improved the main lodge decor and freshened up... More

it was a last minute decision to travel, and we found whistlewood farms in the area that we were heading. We walked into the main house and were welcomed to a fresh hot strawberry rhubarb pie, an apple pie and other fresh baked goods spread across the country table. The house is rustically decorated and well maintained. Maggie was both... More

What a great hidden gem! This classy, manicured, and bucolic farm setting B&B is minutes away from the country town of Rhinebeck, NY. Maggie is the most gracious hostess with a flair for finding out just what you would like to have in your stay. The food was amazing with homemade jams, waffles, omelets, fresh baked cakes and muffins, and... More

This woman knows how to run a B&B. All the baked goods you could want throughout the day, and they're all wonderful. Our breakfast eggs were delicious and came from chickens on the premises. The room was clean and charmingly decorated, completely surpassing expectations set by the website photo.

Upon arrival and some inquire about the property, I received a little attitude from the innkeeper. Almost as if she was annoyed with my questions. This wasn't a good start and the uneasy vibe continued throughout our stay. We never truly felt welcomed. Some details below. The room: Stayed in the carriage house in the Northwind room. This room had... More
