The WhistleWood Farm is a very special place. You're surrounded by beauty, peace and nature with delicious food and Maggie is a perfect host. You will feel restored after a week-end (or longer, if you can!) here and I look forward to returning. Also, love the town of Rhinebeck, so much to see and do, great restaurants, charming historic village.
Whistlewood Farm B&B. Is beautiful, cozy, quiet. We had the Wyoming Room and we loved it. My sister had the Juniper Room. Equally great. Maggie is wonderful and she cooked up a storm for us. Fresh muffins and banana bread greeted us. She did an apple pie the next night. She can cook up just about anything you can think of for breakfast and there was plenty of everything. In addition she made special gluten free versions for my brother-in-law. There are many wonderful animals, horses, a donkey, chickens, and dogs. You can help feed some of them if you would like. We were particularly fond of Pearl, a long-haired German Sheppard. She is very smart and fun to play catch with if you can get the ball away from her. We highly recommend a stay here!
My husband and I spent three nights and four days at this incredible place. We loved every minute and were reluctant to leave even for our outings into the local area. The setting is beautiful and people truly wonderful to get to know. We so enjoyed Maggie (and her cooking of course!) and also Lorraine and Martie down at the horse stable. I cannot imagine staying anywhere else in the Hudson Valley. Thank you Maggie! You have created a special place there at Whistlewood. We miss our great talks and laughing with you!
We stayed in the Juniper room at this bed and breakfast in October 2021. The inn is set on ~38 acres of gentle hills with fenced pastures for horses and a resident mule. The setting is very peaceful and the surrounding area is heavily wooded with a number of small ponds nearby. Downtown Rhinebeck is close by and offers a number of very good restaurants and few shops of interest. The inn is in keeping with its setting; wood floors, knotty pine walls, and an eclectic ranch-centric theme. Our room was a good size, with a comfortable bed, and a small patio looking toward the woods. The bathroom with shower was a good size as well and both bed and bath were immaculately maintained. Breakfast is served between 8:00 and 10:00 am, and the innkeeper (Maggie) prepares a bountiful spread. Fresh eggs are offered daily and during our stay we also enjoyed buttermilk pancakes as well as a quiche with vegetables grown on the farm. During our stay muffins and pie were available all day. All in all, this was a very pretty and quiet spot and we enjoyed our stay a great deal.…
Maggie is a terrific host and excellent cook. Daily breakfast was a real highlight, along with the kitchen table full of pies and cookies all day. Location was close to town and our room was spacious and clean. Highly recommended
We stayed there as we were attending a weeding nearby. What a TREAT!!!... Everything was GREAT! Maggie the proprietor is a Gem! The farm is 40+ acres and the setting is spectacular. From the German Shepherd, Pearl and the Bernese Mountain Dog, Samantha who greet you and are super friendly to all the guests. The rooms are good sized and very comfortable. Maggie cooks breakfast each morning and the French Toast and Pancakes were not as good...but BETTER than I have ever had! Maggie puts out a breakfast “spread” fit for the 4 Seasons.... Afternoons there is a table full of goodies, pies, cookies, muffins etc.....Delicious. Plenty of room and trails to hike or walk and you are less than 15 minutes to town, Rhinebeck. You will enjoy being out in the country and the quiet is delightful. Glad we did not stay in town.....we went into town and the B&B’s there are right on the main streets and very “noisy”. You can’t go wrong with a stay at Whistlewood and you will really enjoy the hospitality provided by Maggie.…
My wife and I have had two visits to WhistleWood in 2021. in July and in September. The proprietor Maggie Myer has a wonderful 3 bedroom B&B all on one floor (no stairs!!) in a beautiful setting on 40 acres. Her breakfasts are spectacularly delicious and varied. We loved coming back in the afternoon for tea and whatever homemade pie, cake, or muffins she had out for us. She's a great guide to the area and we found her suggestions for a road trip or a restaurant right on target for our enjoyment. Thank you, Maggie!!!
This slice of paradise was a much needed tonic for our work weary spirits. The location is idyllic, from the riot of fresh flowers and sprawling green pastures, to the sweet dogs (Pearl and Samantha) that happily greeted us upon our arrival. The smell of fresh, homemade pies lured us through the front door! The proprietor, Maggie, tailored our breakfasts precisely to our many dietary restrictions, creating sumptuous omelets prepared with farm fresh eggs and herbs from her garden, fluffy pancakes, yummy biscuits and anything else our hearts desired. Our accommodations were spacious and extremely comfortable. We honestly felt at home here, as though we were visiting a beloved relative we had not seen in a long time. My husband and I are already planning our next trip to WhistleWood Farm B&B to enjoy the Fall Foliage.…
We were there for a weekend, and it was wonderful. One of my favorite things in the world is to be served a sumptuous and yummy breakfast, and Maggie did not disappoint. There were fresh-baked muffins, eggs made to order, pancakes or French Toast, sausage or bacon, plus dry cereals, toast, fresh fruit, and more, I'm sure. That's not even mentioning the huge table of desserts that is available 24/7 -- pies, brownies, cookies, muffins, cakes - all super-tasty! (We had pie as an appetizer, before breakfast both mornings.) The place is surrounded by gorgeous flowers, and rolling pastures. And there are lots of animals that you can feed (horse, donkey, chickens) and two big lovable dog. The breakfast room is surrounded on 3 sides by glass doors - lovely. We had to cross the hall to get to our private bathroom, and there were great terry robes in the closet for us! Maggie was also full of good suggestions about restaurants and things to do in the area.…
Our first time here this Summer. Stayed 2 nights. Maggie, the owner, was so sweet and nice. She had home made snacks waiting when we got there. Our room was adorable and overlooked the farm. The farm is just beautiful. Feeding the chickens was a fun experience. They see you walk up and they come running! Pretty funny. Maggie encouraged feeding the horse and donkey well. They are very friendly. Breakfast was a large variety of food and was delicious. We would definitely recommend a visit to WhistleWood Farm and are looking forward to returning again! Thank you Maggie for a great weekend!
