This was my first visit here for a girls’ getaway. Billy, at the Inn’s front desk was exceptional. He was Super friendly and helpful and made my birthday extra special. The rooms, restaurant, and spa were absolutely wonderful. I plan on returning with my husband.
The Mirbeau Inn & Spa Rhinebeck is a heavenly spa getaway. Great for a romantic weekend, girls trip, or solo relaxation. Guests must be 21 or over, so this is an adult get-away - yay! The entire inn is non-smoking/non-pets. Opened in 2019, it still has the look and feel of a brand new place. It is located only about a 2 hour drive from NYC and is right in the center of the town of Rhinebeck, so all restaurants and shops are right near the inn - super easy walking distance. The outside grounds of the inn are very impressive - a long cobblestone driveway with ample parking both above and below ground. Piped in relaxation music playing from "rock" speakers in the parking lot are the first welcome. There are bicycles/helmuts for the guest use right out front. CHECK IN: Check in was a total breeze in the large reception area that even had the amazing "spa smell". The very kind and knowledgeable Billy handled both my check/in and check/out, was super professional, friendly, helpful, and went out of his way to assist with questions. One of the good aspects of this inn is that while check-in isn't until 4pm, hotel guests can use the spa, fitness center and all facilities even before check in, so you can get there early (spa hours were 6am -9pm) and use the spa/facilities all day. ROOM: The large 3rd floor room with king-sized bed was totally spotless, had spa music playing from a bedside sound machine, a "faux" fireplace was going, full sized luxury toiletries in the bathroom, separate clawfoot soaking tub, large spa shower, and even the toilet bowl had its own separate "room" ha ha - -an alcove area separate than the rest of the bathroom. There is an in-room safe, his and her thick well-made spa lined bathrobes and slippers in the closet, tons of hangers, a hand-held clothing steamer, coffee maker, etc. The bed was super comfortable with a huge padded headboard. All of the wIndows had both sheer curtains and blackout shades, and evening turndown service is done by housekeeping for those that want it. The room was large, spotless and super comfortable. As someone who is still careful with Covid protocols I felt totally comfortable in this pristine room. SPA - The spa has separate his/hers lockerooms that are large, impeccably clean, and filled with luxurious oversized toiletry products, towels, and other comforts such as hairdryers, curling irons, hair ties, etc. A spa attendant takes you for an initial tour. Throughout my stay there were multiple spa attendants always in the locker room and surrounding areas cleaning or refreshing supplies. Each guest gets assigned a locker with a changeable combination. Spa robes and slippers are waiting in each locker. The women's lockeroom has a steamroom and dry sauna, toilets, changing areas and individual spa showers. There is a large co-ed "relaxation room" with dimmed lighting, about 40 padded loungers, a faux fireplace and chairs in which you can either hang out in all day or while you await your spa services. The room has several wellness type books on the tables besides the loungers and there is area stocked with fresh fruit, cucumber water, various teas, etc. There are always plenty of towels to use in numerous locations around the spa. I had a collagen facial with Ashley which was excellent. I also had a deep tissue massage. As someone who has been getting massages regularly for decades and in locations worldwide at various spa facilities, the deep tissue massage that I had at Mirabeau with Ben was one of the top ten deep tissue massages that I have ever had. He was also friendly, extremely knowledgeable about physiology and offered several suggestions for my massage and wellness routines going forward. I highly recommend Ben for deep tissue massage!! Right off of the spa area is an outdoor 100 degree heated dunk-pool (i.e. the pool is not for swimming, just for short-term chilling out in heated water with fountains). Around the pool area, there are padded lounge chairs, small bistro tables, multiple cubed lounge seating with umbrellas and 4 cabanas with privacy curtains, couches and loungers. There is a poolside bar area as well. My only disappointment with the spa was the external noise factor during my facial. The room in which my facial took place was on the opposite wall of a heavy security door leading to the pool area. That door is constantly being opened by clients and slams shut with a loud bang. This was really distracting during the facial. I would recommend that they either put that door on some kind of a spring loaded close or add some kind of foam strips to soften the blow when the door slams shut. Fitness classes take place in the fitness room with yoga mats, blocks, etc. and there is a gym with free weights, machines. There is also a gift shop that sells the spa products and bathing suits or things you may have forgotten to bring. DINING: I had 2 outdoor breakfasts at the Charlie Palmer Willow restaurant (there is indoor and outdoor seating). The service at the restaurant was spotty (hostess was in the kitchen chatting instead of out front at the dining reception on both mornings causing an awkward wait) and even though I was there at "off times" getting the attention of the waitress to come outside was difficult on both days. I was also a little disappointed that a restaurant with a high caliber chef name at a spa/wellness inn didn't have more vegan options. Nonetheless, the breakfasts were very good (though somewhat pricey), the waitress was very nice, and the outdoor seating was serene -- overlooking trees and flowers in the backyard with a lot of nature sounds, as well as the sound of local church bells. There was a sign in the spa indicating that guests were permitted to dine in their robes at the inn daily up until 4pm. I thought that this was a great option as you can spend the whole day in a spa robe, eat breakfast and lunch in your robe and not have to worry about changing clothes throughout the day. Due to the limited number of vegan options at the Willow restaurant, I chose to eat dinner at a local place, Terrapin, a gorgeous restaurant in what looks like it was a former church space a few blocks away - - lots of vegan and non vegan options, locally sourced ingredients, great food and great service. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Mirbeau, and am already looking forward to returning with multiple friends. Total hit!…
It’s not nearly as wonderful as the one in Skaneateles. However, it’s nice. Worth the price? Absolutely not. There is a faux fireplace in the room. Not exactly sure the resort fee is worth it, but…it’s nice. Instead of complaining, however, I will focus on the positives. Billy at the front desk is excellent. He provided superb, remarkable, fantastic, and fabulous customer service. I can’t say enough about how amazing he is. Thank you, Billy, for being so friendly and welcoming and patient and helpful. You are a treasure!
A friend andI have a pact to enjoy a couple restful days between the busy holidays. We found Mirabeau in Rhinebeck, NY provides the perfect solace with spa treatments, beautiful setting and healthy food. Billy at the reception desk has a remarkable ability to to greet every guest by name and exude hospitality. Although the classes were limited, the yoga class benefitted from a small group with Lindsay giving everyone individual attention to ease our bodies safely into relaxation. In the spa we tried facials and massages, then went straight to our rooms and slept well! The area offers a small town for a stroll and a twenty minute drive to the Culinary Institute of America. We were able to reserve lunch and a tour there and found it worth a return visit. Mirabeau delivered exactly what we needed amidst the busy demands of family at the holidays. We left feeling energized and healthy. For obvious reasons, we look forward to retuning to Rhinebeck for our next restorative trip. …
The relaxing yet classy atmosphere is amazing, but what really made my stay special was the friendly attentive staff who consistently went out of their way to make sure my every need was met. Billy at check set the tone for our stay by making us feel special the moment we stepped through the doors. Edina at the spa welcomed me in and seemed as happy as I was that I was having a relaxing time, her smile was infectious. I originally planned to leave the spa for a meal or two in town where there are renowned restaurants, however the menu at The Willow along with their knowledgeable and talented staff including Executive Chef Lucas, Chef Alex Chef Sean and Maitre d Dan made me never want to leave, if I remembered all of the staff that served me I’d mention them too. I ate every meal on site for three days. I should also mention the staff at the aqua spa including Thomas who was always ready with drinks or a blanket when I needed one. …
beautiful rooms, comfortable beds, and clean amenities, but what took the experience to the next level was the mirbeau's bellhop, bryan. i came down to the lobby looking for a second cup of morning coffee, but apparently, i was a bit too late and the coffee station had already been removed for the day. i approached the bellhop by the front desk, to inquire if there was possibly another location on the hotel grounds that i could purchase a cup of coffee- and within seconds he returned with a fresh hot cup of joe from the kitchen free of charge. over-and-above. i ended up chatting with him for another 25 minutes and learned a lot about the hotel and the town. professional, warm, and kind are all understatements for an employee like bryan.
My wife and I really enjoyed our short stay at Mirbeau! It was very relaxing and such a beautiful hotel. The spa was excellent and so was the restaurant inside the hotel. We will certainly be back in the future. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. Bryan the bellman was super helpful with our luggage!
My girlfriends and I just spent 2 days at this luxurious hotel/spa. We can’t wait to go back. Starting with Bryan( whose middle name is “ Hard Work”, according to him. Not sure what his mother was thinking) gently transported our 30+ bags to our rooms. Check in was a pleasure as was check out, thanks Billy. Our rooms were so comfortable and nicely appointed. Every detail attended to including sleep spray for our pillows. The spa is level up and Meg, the manager there, is very good at her job. She took care of a glitch with sincere concern and professionalism. Willow, the Charlie Palmer restaurant, is a beautiful setting and the staff is efficient and attentive. The food is delicious. This review could go on but suffice it to say, visit Mirbeau, you’ll be glad you did.
Bryan at the Bell Hop was extremely friendly and on multiple occasions during our stay, he went over and beyond the service of his position. He was very friendly and made our stay that much more enjoyable!!.....what a great guy to have on staff!!
My husband and I were beyond pleased with our visit to Mirbeau. The hotel and Spa were top notch, beautiful rooms and spa with wonderful massages. What made it for us were the staff esp Bryan and Billy and Sierra were over the top professional, helpful and there for us… whatever we needed. It’s a quick walk to restaurants, shopping. We went for a relaxed hike. Just a great weekend. We are planning our return trip already:)
