A charming historic hotel nestled in the Catskill mountains. The Bavarian Manor is family-owned, and steeped in the history of the area. With its classic charm and home-grown recipes, the Bavarian Manor Country Inn and Restaurant is a beautiful place to escape for a night, weekend, or holiday retreat. The rooms have views of the majestic Catskill mountain range, as well as the beautiful scenery that you can only find in upstate New York! Whether you're looking for a cozy room to rest your head for the evening, or looking for a comfortable room that you can share with your family, you can find a place here at the Manor. One of the biggest draws here at the Manor is the on-site restaurant and bar. Our German food has won, and continues to win, countless awards for best German cuisine in the area. Our friendly staff will be glad to serve you as our chefs prove to you that we have the some of the best food this side of Bavaria!

We stayed one night with our dog at Bavarian Manor. The hotel itself is beautiful as is the surrounding countryside. Staff were friendly at check in and nice to our dog, who got a welcome package with a chew toy and some treats. The room was a little small, but clean and comfortable and served our needs. Due to the pandemic, the restaurant was closed and breakfast was served pretty late, so we didn't stick around. Overall, a beautiful old hotel that makes a nice stay in the Catskills, especially if traveling with a dog.

I had to pleasure in eating at this cute historic inn for a family birthday dinner. What a surprise that such a cute place is so hidden. Lovely clean rooms to stay in on the 2nd and 3rd floors. You need to use stairs. Breakfast is included they tell me. Unfortunetly the restaurant is only open for the weekends. I would suggest checking this place out if you just want to hang out or use it for your homebase while driving to Hudson or other areas of interest.
The food was good. Most everyone had a german dish.

We attended a private funeral event and had a wonderful experience. Great food, friendly staff and wonderful hosts. There were 100 + people in attendance and all went smoothly, even after we arrived an hour and a half early. We would highly recommend . Kudos to Garret, Connie and the rest of the team.

Under new management and it is bad. I stayed here numerous times over the years, the previous owner kept it nice and food was good. Broken locks on doors, drop ceiling tiles literally falling from ceiling, no water purification, previous owner had nice system, the water is sulfur water and it stinks, can’t brush your teeth, can’t shower, can’t drink it. Toilet ran all night chain was broken, no security whatsoever you can literally push the door in! Room came with free breakfast, on the website it says sit down with menu, in which previous owners had and was great, so we get downstairs and it was a ghost town, coffe was instant coffee in a pot to make it look like brewed coffee, eggs were at least 2 days old, dry potatoes and bacon horrible! I went to town to a convenience store and had better food. The front desk clerk was nice but absolutely clueless about anything. What a waste of time and money the new owner obviously has no money to run the place and always promotes his other restaurant down the road. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your hard earned money on this run down establishment. All the positive reviews are from employees or friends.

Entering the room I found 2 stink bugs crawling on the wall, which is surprising to find in the dead of winter.
Water in the bathroom gives a sulfur smell. Their in-room brochure mentions a nearby sulfur springs as part of their history to explain the smell. Their website did not make a similar effort.
Paid extra for a room with a fireplace, fireplace did not work.
Cable in all the rooms is shut off, but for some reason the cable works in the bar area. Their website mentions cable reception, so that's a lie.
Service is minimal with no apparent staff available past 2:00 PM
The breakfast service was pretty good, however solely due to the cook that was on duty.
I would have been more forgiving if the owner didn't lie to me that he would give me a partial refund for the problems. Which led to me having to perform a charge back. Owner claimed they were selling the place, which is not an excuse for the poor service.

Booked for 2 days but left after the first night. Our room had many stink bugs in the room . Told the desk and we were told that all rooms have bugs . “ time of the year “ it probably would have helped the situation if the screens hadn’t had holes in them and if the windows hadn’t had gaps between them . Wedged towels in between the windows and it helped but still had some large bugs flying around at night.
We were offered another room the 1 st hour we were there but when we looked at that room rather were dead dried bugs in a large area , not vacuumed obviously.
No apology’s, discounts or warning before we came as the situation.
We were looking forward to our visit because we had been the a few years ago at the same time of the year and at that time it was very nice with outdoor fires and pumpkins all over. This visit was disappointing and we wouldn’t go back again .

We had a private event at the Bavarian Manor with a buffet. The food was plentiful and delicious! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The bartender was amazing! Highly recommended! We had penne ala vodka, chicken francese, roast beef, chicken tenders, pea soup, French fries, salad & more! The chicken francese, roast beef & French fries were my favorite! Yummmm!

Horrible service. Extremely long wait times. Stage was rude and food was disgusting. Manager never came over after requested. Server was atrocious. Don't recommend. Will not be back. Stay away an avoid.

Having checked in on the 13th of October I was in room #25.
The floor is a hazard heaving an inch or two. The wave so pronounced that the beds have wooden blocks to level them.
To observe the suspended ceiling was no more comforting than to attempt to transverse the floor without tripping.
As for the bath, its aroma was disturbing to say the least.

Regarding the comments I've seen from others: Room #25 is the only one with which I had any first hand experience.
Shame on them for renting it.
We will not be back.

Wonderful hospitality, welcoming owners, great cozy bar and great food at the restaurant. Loved the charming wrap-around porch where we enjoyed a cold beer. The quiet surroundings of the spacious property added to the tranquility. Will come again for sure!
