We have family in the area and have stayed a few different places and this was by far our favorite place. Jill met us the day we got in and gave us a tour to let us know where everything was. She told us to help ourselves to the beer in the fridge and the fresh farm eggs from her... More

Could not have asked for a more relaxing and enjoyable Memorial Day Weekend. We had the Queen room, which was spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were amazing and huge! Hospitality was unbeatable and the proximity to the water and the waterfall just made the stay perfect. Kayaking in the pit of the waterfall was awesome and I even got to buy... More

This place deserves an honest review. I wish more people who stayed would post. Shinglekill will not appeal to everyone, but is a great find for most travelers. The B&B was originally built in 1840 for the caretaker of the mill. That means the grounds and foundation are old. The common areas have been updated and decorated to give the... More

I contacted many bed and breakfasts in the area and I was so impressed with the owner's, Jill, emails in response to my request that I selected this inn. I can't even begin to tell you... More

Just spent five days at the Shinglekill B&B and enjoyed it so much that (in light of the previous review) I felt compelled to write my own. To put things into perspective, while not born with a silver spoon, I've been fortunate to have had a relatively successful career, so we often rent luxury villas in places such as Bali... More

If you are going to run a B&B, you really need to understand how it is done. The grounds were unkempt and we were greeted by a beer drinking host. Pictures on the website are deceiving as this place was unkempt on the inside and out. We stayed in the family suite and the room was filthy. There were spider... More

“The King room was lovely, bed was very comfortable and it's located away from the kitchen so noise was not an issue.”
