Stayed here on a Saturday and hung out in Port Jeff for the day. Booked through tickets at work for $218. The staff was awesome. There was an issue with the reservation but quickly and efficiently taken care of by Katie. Our room although dated was clean but there was an bug in the bathroom outlet, the tv remote didn’t work that great as well as a leaky shower head. My opinion (for what it’s worth) is that they could change the two full size beds to something bigger and maybe pay more attention to getting some new carpets. There was a good band playing there and although we didn’t eat there, the restaurant looked good and the outdoor dining looked nice. The parking situation isn’t the greatest. We would stay there again but would like to see more attention paid to the things previously mentioned. Once again the staff was great.

Spacious room with king bed, couch, desk, refrigerator. Our room was on 3rd floor of the Galley building. Elevator made trip to room much nicer. Short walk to lots of restaurants and shops. Parking is in municipal lot so might not be close to the hotel door.

Family of three went on a last minute over-night trip to Port Jefferson for Labor Day weekend. We boated across the Long Island Sound, moored at the Port Jefferson Yacht Club and stayed one night at Danfords. The property is located right on the waterfront and right in the middle of the town. It occupies an entire block and includes multiple buildings -hotel, spa, restaurant and marina. It is an older property but seemed to be well maintained. The lobby looked a bit out of alignment with the rest of the property- seems like they tried to go with a Hamptons type vibe vs the general feel of the property and of Port Jefferson. We got a Jr suite- everything else was sold out. Had two double beds and a pull out couch. Got upgraded to a harbor view. Room was large and clean. AC worked fine. LIttle dated but all good. Check in is a bit late (4pm) - we got in a little early - they called - we left our bags and walked around/got an ice cream. Staff was friendly. Had dinner at the restaurant (Waves) that was quite good. No breakfast options - not sure if that was COVID related or the norm. Property was busy - weddings, lots of people out for one last hurrah. Location is good - right in downtown Port JEfferson - walking distance to everything. LIttle noisy with the ferry coming and going and cars up and down the road and some live music. But again you are right in town- so what do you expect. All in - nice spot, good location, lots of activity, big sprawling property, good restaurant, bit pricey, large, clean, basic room with internet etc. Am a long-time Trip Advisor contributor and user and this may be the first real disconnect that I have found between the other reviews and our experience. I have to admit we were a little skeptical having read the Trip Advisor reviews. Frankly we typically would not have gone - but its pretty much the only game right in town. But as I said above - everything was fine and we had a nice over-nighter. Would return if back in Port Jefferson.

We stayed here for the long Labor Day week-end in September 2020. The hotel itself and the premises are nice and well kept but the noise in the surrounding area is crazy. I think almost every other car and motorcycle has a modified muffler and they enjoy rolling into the streets surrounding the property. The level of noise is absolutely insane. I would never go back.

No Internet rooms are old dirty need serious renovations $6 for bottle of water $8 for outside public parking the receptionist looks tiered and not interested, location is OK nothing special. Didn’t eat here but heard the food is below average. Find some where else to stay in the area if you can not worth the money.
