My wife and I came here for our yearly February. We stayed in the Sleigh Room, which was beautiful and the bathroom was great! The bed was very comfortable and clean. The fireplace was a nice amenity, especially since we traveled during a cold winter in New York. It was a nice and quiet get away for my wife and... More

My husband and I recently stayed at this B&B so that we could visit nearby relatives. The Rufus Tanner House is cozy, super clean, beautifully decorated and comfortable. I did not want to leave the bed, but I'm glad I did because Rick and Donna made an exceptional breakfast both mornings we were there. They were wonderful hosts, very attentive,... More

I travel a lot and my stays are always at major hotels and resorts. This was the first time for a B&B (as I soon learned was the correct name). I was somewhat apprehensive but after meeting Donna and Rick, wow! They welcomed us to a very warm and inviting B&B with a spacious gathering area and a great breakfast.... More

We found this B&B through our dog breeder who's kennel is nearby. The house was lovely and we received a warm welcome from our hosts. Our room was very comfortable with the wide plank floors and a fireplace helped make the room very cosy.

This B&B offered everything I am looking for. There is a comfortably large living room area with fireplace and piano, a small garden, large dining room area with complimentary coffee/hot water/water and snacks available. The Empire Room on the 2nd floor (where I stayed) is large, well-lighted and comfortable with a small desk and sitting area, as well as a fireplace,... We selected this gem because of location and really enjoyed our stay. It's older decor adds to the experience. The breakfast was wonderful - just the right amount of food and ginger pancakes with lemon sauce were divine. My suggestion would be to have dinner elsewhere as elmira and pine city have very limited options

Unfortunately due to the constraints of our travel itinerary, we were only able to enjoy this Inn for just over 12 hours! We were greeted warmly by owners Donna and Rick, who have put a lot of thought into providing many extras for their guests. There are many common spaces to choose from and enjoy, including a lovely porch facing... More

Jerry and I had a "perfect" stay. The food excelled with a three course, served breakfast each day-homemade, creative, and not the usual B&B fare. Very clean, comfortable rooms that were a joy to stay in. We spent a lot of time reading, chatting, and just relaxing on two of the porches. Everything was well thought out by the gracious,... More

We had the most wonderful experience here. The hospitality, accommodations and food were fantastic. The rooms were spectacular. We stayed in the Sleigh Room. The fireplace made the whole stay beautiful. I want to remodel my bathroom at home just like this one. Donna and Rick were the best. They were so nice and we can't wait to come back... More

Where to start: my sister, son, and I stayed this past weekend for a family funeral. The innkeepers went out of our way to help us. That alone rates 5 stars. The furnishings are historically accurate and very beautifully done. The place is spacious, and the public areas are to be enjoyed as well as the guest rooms. Everywhere was... More
