My wife and I like the simplicity of the place. The room is small but comfortable and clean. It’s a step up from glamping. The fire pit was right out side of our room , which we liked. The hosts were very friendly. There is a pool and nice grounds as well as the beautiful Mountain View’s. It’s a no frills place. We would go back. The town is a one horse town without a horse. Very good pizza restaurant with a full bar . If you like a simple place you would like it.
We had a great stay at the graham. Spent a 3-day weekend with 2 friends. The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. The owners organized a surprise DJ by the pool on Sunday. Highly recommend it for a chill and relaxing vacation!
We stumbled across the Graham & Co. when we were looking to book a last-minute weekend getaway to the Catskills. We looked up the reviews in advance and had an idea of what we should expect but we were eager to book as nearly every other hotel within the area we wanted to visit (Woodstock / Kingston) seemed to lack vacancy. Side note: we're not big fans of staying at chain hotels, either. We like to have a "local experience" whenever possible. So, the G&Co. sold us. We stayed in room 01. The decor is minimal and hip - but we dig that. The rooms are furnished with the basics but we knew not to expect an air conditioner or TV prior to our stay so it was not a surprise. For what it's worth, we stayed in August and the temps outside ranged from 68 to 83 - we were never too hot in our rooms and the ceiling fan seemed to work just fine with the window open. The WiFi worked perfectly and we counted on it as we lost cell service once we got into the town of Phoenicia. The bathroom was very clean and included soap, shampoo, conditioner and face wipes. The queen bed was a bit stiff for our taste but it did the trick! Since we were getting out to explore, we didn't spend a whole lot of time in our room but, when we did, we were satisfied. Because of the global pandemic, our room was left unlocked and the key inside so that we could have a "touch-less" check in. Our weekend stay included breakfast and we were able to choose which breakfast option we preferred via text message with the hotel. The following morning, the hotel staff dropped the breakfast in a crate at our door and it was perfect. We didn't request coffee or tea BUT you can walk down to the reception area to grab either. I'm a decaf drinker but there is no decaf available so I opted for tea (completely fine with me). As far as the value -- We knew what we were headed into before we booked. While the motel offers a basic and minimum "package", we certainly can appreciate that type of offering. Because they were the only lodge with available stay that we were considering, that also tells us that the area is in high-demand and we should expect a bit of a higher cost per night. Perhaps most important to all of this is that Graham & Co. guarantees your room has been empty at least 24 hours prior to your arrival (sometimes up to 72 hours) and will also be empty another 24 hours after you depart to allow for space between stays and proper cleaning. In other words, while the nightly rate of $235 on a weekend seems a little higher than we would have liked, we understood that we were essentially paying for three to four nights and we appreciate this during such uncertain times. It gave us a little peace of mind and reinforced our trust, here. Every staff member we interacted with was kind and helpful. We would likely stay here again and would recommend to friends/family if they were headed to this area.…
My friends and I booked a few days at Graham & Co to get out of the city. It is a quaint little renovated motel providing good cleanliness measures during this time. Martin and the staff were all very attentive and helpful. The furnishings and renovations are all nice but it would be great if they invested in some air conditioning for the rooms. We were surprised not many reviews mention this and realize most may spend time outdoors while visiting this area. However, during COVID times some may want to just relax indoors and a heatwave makes that difficult.
My wife and two friends and I escaped to The Graham & Co for a long weekend getaway from the city. Having been cooped up in the city for months due to Covid-19, this was a much welcome and needed break. We loved this place from the moment we arrived. Martin and the staff were so welcoming and gracious. Breakfast delivered to the room, private use of the Den, moments around the fire, bike rides, great hiking just minutes away and very comfortable, stylish accommodations. The only sad part was that we could not use the pool! Next time! We will be back for sure. Highly recommend.
