The hotel itself is fine, just a couple of things I am annoyed with. I stay at the Hampton Inn because of its perks- free coffee, hot breakfast. It's not posted on their website, but you get none of this now. We were told that you had to use the coffee machine in your room- when we got there we found that both packets of coffee had been previously opened and housekeeping did not notice. Breakfast is now a bagged breakfast- and after talking to other guests, we heard it was gross so we opted to go out. To get additional soap, shampoo, you need to fill out a slip and leave it outside our door, which we did. When we returned, the slip was gone and we never received what we asked for, which necessitated trip to the front desk. I understand the COVID precautions, but I know other hotels are still doing the amenities and I'm sure this Hampton could too. Just a bit disappointed with this stay.…
I was in a Lake view room and it was so wonderful each morning to wake up to a view overlooking Kueka Lake. The staff were very attentive to Covid regulations and that was comforting. They recently opened a little lounge that has a small menu with drinks. At this time of course you cannot order drinks without food. Very nice lawn and patio area . They could have even more lounge chairs or tables with umbrellas as every evening all were taken. Very reasonable price for a clean place and a pleasant stay. Would recommend this place for a no frills but very good hotel
Great place and location right by Kueka Lake. Exceptionally clean with comfortable beds. While we were there they couldn’t offer a normal breakfast because of Covid regulations, but they took the time and effort to provide cold cereal, milk in cartons and fruit.
We stayed for the weekend, just a little getaway. This hotel didn’t disappoint! Right on the lake and we had our own patio entrance as we stayed on the first floor. The hotel was clean but since the virus still has things closed there wasn’t a breakfast buffet, your only option was a bagged breakfast which was a bottle of water and muffin (they really could have made breakfast sandwiches or something more). I would definitely stay here again. It was very peaceful and the staff was very nice (especially Judy)!
This hotel isn't that old and they are already adding a new section. We stayed on the first floor with a water view (Rm. 103). The rooms were unique in the fact they had a seperate entrance to the outdoor patio area. It was great to socialize in the evenings with our room neighbors and made a few new friends. It seemed like there was a shortage of outdoor furniture it could have been because of the virus. The patio area is great and only 50 feet from the lake. Great place to see the sun set and enjoy the outdoor fire pit. Would certainly stay here again. We only had one issue and Judy addressed it right away and made our stay great. Thanks Judy! While your here the Top of the Lake restaurant is right next door and had some great dinner choices with a wonderful deck with outdoor seating. The only challenges were the bar wasn't open, they said sometime in July it will open. During our stay they only had a prebagged breakfast, which was a bottle of water and a muffin. We ended up going out for breakfast, lots of great choices in the area. In reality your not choosing a Hampton for a great breakfast even if the virus wasn't disrupting things. They are very very eager to remind you to wear your mask while in public spaces, it's not my thing so I found out a little annoying but the outside entrance to our room fixed that for us.…
