I recently stayed here while traveling from up for a friend's wedding. Chris was already greeting a couple that had arrived just before me and helped me get situated quickly. The house was beautifully decorated, a bit of history hanging on every wall, brought together by the most comfortable furniture imaginable. I received a quick tour on the way up to my room, I was in a bit of a rush to make it to the wedding after all. The bed was very nice. I woke up early and Chris was already preparing my breakfast which was just perfect. Last thing of note, the parking spaces just off to the side of the house are very well lit and it was no problem at all getting in quietly after dark.
I had the pleasure of staying here overnight for an event at the New York Safety Track. Chris was by and large the most welcoming and accommodating person I've ever met for a bed and breakfast. Everything about the house is extremely cozy from the welcoming living room and bedrooms, to the scenic and gorgeous backyard. There is nothing else around the Oneonta/Cooperstown area that can beat the pricing and comfort of this place.
Chris goes out of his way to make guests feel welcome, including greeting us as we pulled in to the parking area and having snacks and bottled water whenever you need them. Guests are given breakfast choices the night before and time they’d like to eat. Chris, who is very friendly, showed us around the home and details of the room such as adjusting the AC. He also made great restaurant suggestions and even made a reservation for us. Also, the bed was very comfortable.
Fabulous accomodation, great service. Kris, the proprieter, went out of his way to accomodateour travel schedule and food needs. The accomadations are very comfortable. Very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and have returned 2 more times.
Not our first time here and definitely not our last. Being at Kountry Living feels like home. Not stuffy or too frilly. Just easy, comfy, and welcoming. Take the time to explore the yard and enjoy the lush green property. It just feels good to sit out there on a warm sunny day. The breakfast choices are incredible - so much to choose from and Jerry is such a great cook -- able to accomodate any dietary need. He and Chris will do anything for you. In fact, I call Chris the Kountry Living Koncierge! He knows the area and it's offerings so well that he can make recommendations for anything you're looking for. Want something to do with the kids? Looking for an amazing Thai restaurant or a place to get a great steak or even drinks with a view? He's got the answers in his back pocket. My daughter just loves when we go out to the Kountry and you will too! Places we've visited while staying here: Animal Adventure Park, Cooperstown Baseball Hall of Fame, Glimmerglass Tourboat, Farmers Museum, Fly Creek Cider Mill, Yellow Deli, Bella Michael's.........…
