The Hosts are really terrific people, and will make your stay very special. The thee course breakfast was perfect, and the beautiful historic home is a must see! The decor was beautiful, and there was such a warm welcoming feel to the entire property.

My husband and I recently had our first stay at The Alpine Homestead. We arrived rather late, but Barry was waiting for us with a warm welcome. The bed and breakfast is beautifully decorated, well maintained and immaculate. Our bedroom and private bath had everything we needed including a very comfortable, huge bed, warm blankets (the temperature outside was in... More

My wife and I had a gift certificate for two nights at the Alpine Homestead. We had no idea what to expect but upon arriving we found out that it was going to be a good experience. We were made to feel at home right away by the hosts and they were extremely helpful letting us know where to find... More

My wife and I spent our honeymoon weekend at the Alpine Homestead and we loved it! Barry and Peggy are an amazing couple who make you feel at home as soon as you walk in their beautifully restored Victorian home. The breakfasts were delicious and homemade. Peggy's baked Oatmeal was soooo good! They were always available to take care of... More

We booked an overnight visit to the Adirondack region to see fall foliage. We found the Alpine Homestead on an internet search, and it worked out very well. The location was convenient and easy to find, our hosts were very gracious and helpful to learn more about the area, including good options on where to eat. Breakfast was marvelous (I... More

My boyfriend and i staid here over labor day weekend sort of last minute, and were delightfully surprised the moment we arrived. Hosts had no problem when we let them know we might be arriving a bit later at night and were up waiting for us with a smile when we got there. The house is extremely clean and the... More

This was my first time in a bed and breakfast, I'm not really the bed and breakfast type. I'm more of a private person. But to my surprise, it was a really nice stay. Peggy and Barry are extremely helpful and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. I stayed in the Tannery room, its a king... More

Peg and Barry are the most wonderful hosts and their home is lovely. They make you feel at home immediately. It is quiet, comfortable and very clean. They are very accommodating with check in times and breakfast scheduling. Their breakfasts are such a nice start to the day and it is close to so many activities including Gore Mountain. If... More

Very nice innkeepers welcome you into their inn. They went out of there way to make me feel at home, from afternoon tea to dinner recs and more. Large room and bath. All around comfortable! We'll stay here again if we can get back here for ski season.

This was our first stop on a two week, 7 state motorcycle trip. Unfortunately, the weather was not typical for late May and we were frozen upon arrival. Peggy got the fire going for us immediately and within no time at all we were warming up with a cup of coffee. Lovely, lovely people and a charming old house. Our... More
