Pricey for older decorated room, comfortable. But close to many restaurants and bars. Owners very friendly and helpful. It is for sale, so maybe will be updated. Not sure what the price is. Could be a good investment for a younger person. Busy in the summer and winter with skiers and snow machine around.
I grew up in NY state and spent a lot of time in Old Forge and surrounding area. This was the first time we visited Old Forge and didnt stay with family. We chose the Blue Spruce and I had no idea how quaint it would be. The owner is extremely flexible and accommodated an extra unplanned night that we added to our stay! We were within walking distance to town. The motel was clean and had original appliances ( we had the suite)! The motel room had updated bathroom, TV and a great pull out for our teenage son. Bottom line, we will be back!!!!
Super clean, comfortable beds, quiet place with an awesome pool. So close to Enchanted Forest, and great prices! Family owned and operated- they genuinely care about their guests. They were happy to give us recommendations on where to go, and accommodate our needs. Great place-highly recommend ❤️
Never been to the Adirondacks..people we knew were going so we joined them..it is a established place with. not many of the new techie stuff..looks like new carpet in all rooms..meeting another couple here today..I don't think they will be disappointed....some large rooms some small..well kept..Diane the owner..takes pride in what is a family business
Cycling into Adirondack State Park via Route 28 E and ran into this small hotel first. Owner Dianne and husband Joe live on premises. Very friendly and helpful. Rooms very clean, spacious and “old motel style” with green plastic key holders”. Cyclist friendly. Hot showers with good pressure welcome after a full day on the road. Easy walk into town for great shops and unique restaurants. After a long cycle climb heading East up the Tug Plateau ,on the Northern Tier route, this was a welcome oasis. I will surely return next trip into town.
