Fantastic stay at this hotel for a family get together celebrating my 50th birthday. The rooms were Ver clean and well maintained. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. I have to give a huge thanks to Baily at the desk who actually went to look for my daughter's lost cell phone after we arrived back home. The phone was... More

Friends and I just returned from a night away..we paid almost $400 for a mid week night and were placed in a room with mold growing on the ceiling and floors. We were only staying one night so we didn't make a fuss. But if it were a longer stay we would have asked for a room change or some... More

Overall a nice spot to go for a few nights. Rooms are beach hotel rooms, so you expect a certain amount of mustiness, but they do a good job cleaning, and it seems as though they are working on updating. Theres a bar and restaurant on the premises, with a great bartender, and decent bar food- nothing fancy (at least... More

I have been going there for 13 years and always good. Staff is wonderful. Rooms are rustic with a real feel of being at a summer resort on the beach. There is also a pool which is rare at hotels on Fire Island. Very friendly and relaxing resort.

First, thank you for our patronage for the past many years. It is especially gratifying to see guests return, enjoy themselves here in Fire Island while staying with us and comment about us. It is an avenue to help us improve. Given 13 years, you certainly have seen some of the changes/upgrades we've made here. We hope you have enjoyed... More

A couple of my friends and I stayed here Memorial Day Weekend the staff was so helpful, the rooms were clean and the location was perfect for us. It's just steps away from the beach and a quick walk into town. The manager went out of her way to accommodate us and was so sweet. We arrived very early and... More

i came during 4th july weekend with family of 4 and other 2 families. the place was completely over run by low class drunks who were not guests of the hotel -jumping and falling into the pool, making out, bringing coolers to the pool that hotel guests with kids were trying to enjoy. it was actually bordering scary because it... It's true, admittedly, the Holiday weekends, ESPECIALLY MEMORIAL DAY, less so July 4th, bring out some of the more, lets say, energetic clientele to all of Fire Island and we do accommodate all types, families and 20 year olds too. Weekdays are most certainly the best for families with kids. Weekends in Fire Island there are more couples and singles.... More

I had always heard of Fire Island, having grown up on Long Island, but never thought someone of my income level could even afford to go here for a night. So, I was surprised and suspicious to find the Fire Island Hotel. My husband and my two children (ages 6 and 7) arrived for a three night stay in August... More

Manager absent (tried calling/emailing=mgmt. didn't reply to anything) from day one when our list of individually insignificant gripes started adding up: no WIFI after the first 2 hrs there (lots of excuses from the summer college intern like front desk..we could tell the staff had a separate, working wifi add'y, but they kept pooh-poohing us..."oh it's maintenance"!
