I just returned from Santorini and spent three nights at the Nemesis Hotel. It's a great location right on the main road into Fira, and about a five minute walk to the bus terminal where you can catch buses to other areas of the island. My room faced the Caldera and it was nice having that view. Even though there's a main road there, the soundproofing was good and so I didn't notice any noise. I can't say enough about the wonderful staff there who made my stay a real joy. They arranged the pickup at the port on my arrival, and a transfer to the airport on my departure. They happily answered all my questions and offered a couple great restaurant suggestions, and also took care of booking a wonderful half day Catamaran trip around the island which I also recommend. The breakfast selection was more than adequate.

This hotel is located on the outskirts of the main town in Santorini, Fira - it’s a 5-min walk into town. It’s also right next to a large supermarket and a big parking lot, which are both helpful. What it is not is one of those hotels on the cliffs, with the white walls and the beautiful views. Those will probably cost you 2-3 times more, I’m guessing. Nemesis doesn’t have a pool, and it won’t give you those amazing sunset views - you’ll probably want to go over to Oia for that. I booked a single room and it was small, just like most European hotels, but it had everything I needed - a TV, air con, a fridge, even a nice balcony sort of facing the ocean. The room also included breakfast - you can choose what you want the day before and they’ll have it ready for you in the morning. The highlight of this hotel is the staff. Lia and Jacob at the front desk went out of their way to be helpful, and the woman who I believe is the owner was also very friendly. They’ll rent you a scooter or organize a tour, and they speak great English. This is a 3/4-star hotel with 5-star service. I do wish I had paid double the cost to stay right in the center of Oia, but I enjoyed this hotel and would definitely recommend it if you choose to stay in Fira.

Fira is touristy and can be overwhelming with huge crowds, but Nemesis is an oasis of calm and hospitality right outside the storm. The only problem is the walk to the center of things can be difficult, with no sidewalks and lots of traffic. Still, this is a small, family-run place, at an affordable price for Santorini, where Jacob welcomes you warmly and helpfully, offering suggestions on what to do, where to eat, how to navigate the island. The halls and rooms are quite nice, immaculately clean with good beds and with balconies where you can see the caldera or the Aegean. More storing places for clothes, etc. would be nice. Terrific breakfasts and just a very pleasant place to stay. Very nice breakfasts, too.

-If you are staying in a Standard room, it will look like the pictures posted in this review -It is a 2-star room with an extremely outdated bathroom -Price for a standard room is still super expensive, so please stay elsewhere if the room quality matters to you -This hotel is for people who place more value the "family-owned, small" type of place After looking through the reviews on TripAdvisor, I thought the bathroom in particular would look like the ones posted for this property, but, as you can see in the pictures, it is WAY worse than the bathrooms for the suites. I do admit I should have done more research on the Standard room quality, but it is very odd that the quality of the bathrooms between the Standard rooms and the suites would differ so much, and pictures of the bathroom for the Standard rooms were very hard to find. The room overall is 2-star, like a motel in the US. -The shower is super small and is a slipping hazard, if you are a large or tall person, the shower would probably not work for you -In addition, the bedsheets were old and stained with hairs found on some of the sheets -There was gross green stuff on the soap dispenser -The ocean view is a view of the an empty field with the ocean in the far background Pros: The breakfast is very good and the staff is really nice. Location is also good.

We arrived at 9 am for a 2 night stay. They were nice enough to let us check in. As with many places the key is needed for electricity but air conditioner is not on a separate circuit so you come back to a very hot room. Room was very nice and very clean and well furnished. The street is very noisy and I mean very noisy with traffic. We went to have breakfast the first morning and told we couldn't have breakfast as it was not for the day we checked in but the following 2 days. Mind you the Morning we left we checked out before breakfast started. I thought it was tacky that we couldn’t have breakfast. Good location to the shopping Not sure I would return

I looked long and hard for an affordable quality place to stay, and I am happy I found the Nemesis. It is located a short walk from town, has a great breakfast and the staff was extremely helpful. Santorini is a fantastic place to visit but I didn't want to spent 500 EUR a night. I found this place on hotels.com and booked. They sent a welcome e-mail, they arranged shuttle services from the airport, all before we got there. When we were there they offered tours and local advice and were extremely helpful. We traveled with friends who stayed in other hotels and were not happy. We on the other hand completely enjoyed our stay. I would go back anytime. I will say there might be one or two rooms that face the view on the main picture on Trip Advisor, but that is not standard. I had a room where I could see the ocean but it was the other side and in the distance. I think this is ok from a marketing standpoint but should be taken into account when you are selecting.

The location of this B&B is at the edge of the town. Hence it was centrally located. The room that we had was small and the bathroom was tiny. The hot water took ages to heat and due to the shortage of water sources in Santorini, the water pressure was low. All of the above was inconsequential unless you intend to spend a lot of time in the hotel. What was outstanding was the service which was superb. The young lady at the reception was sweet and helpful as was the young man who took turns in manning the desk. These young hardworking Greeks should be the pride of the nation!

A small family-run hotel/apartment business. Ia was super helpful and recommended me things to go do and see. Breakfast is included and is actually a pretty large variety given the small hotel. Location is perfect being next to the local supermarket and Fira is small. The only feedback is the shower is prone to flooding the bathroom, but at this price and being Santorini, can't really complain!
