The most welcoming place I have ever stayed, I could not have asked for better people to be surrounded by with the staff being so keen to meet people. As soon as I came in (after having a very stressful journey) I instantly felt relaxed with the greeting of two of the girls working there. Genuinely couldn’t think of a better place to stay to experience Santorini. Thanks again, Jacob
I would never stay here again We paid over 500 to stay there 3 people for 3 nights to be in a room with 10 people and it wasn’t worth it in the slightest. I honestly wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me. We had to pay cash upon arrival which is ridiculous because no person staying here would be walking around with that amount of cash. Additionally, the 2 atms nearby were out of cash so we were left running around looking for a bank in the heat. We were brought down to our room and as we opened the door we were greeted with a horrible smell of sewage. I determined that this smell was probably coming up from the drainage holes in the bathroom in the room (which we had because we were in a 10 person room). The room luckily had AC but it leaked the entire time it was on and soaked the entire floor resulting in us waking up to all of our things being soaking wet. The constant moisture also caused there to be noticeable mold on the walls and every morning I would wake up gagging on my own mucous probably from breathing in the mold all night. The shower in our room wasn’t horrible but the smell in the bathroom was so unbearable I didn’t shower the 3 days I was there and had to force myself to even brush my teeth becahse I didn’t want to go into the bathroom so badly. The communal bathrooms weren’t any better - they were worse. However, in the morning right after they were cleaned the smell was bearable for maybe 20 minutes but still. The communal showers were perhaps the worst part. The showers are covered in mold and mildew and so obviously dirty and the worst part is that when you close the door there is no way to breathe any fresh air so you’re basically locked in a moldy hot moist room. Also, there was a 40 year old man staying in our 10 person room who was harassing another young girl in our room all night and trying to get into her bed. In my opinion, hostels shouldn’t be putting old ass men into a room with younger girls like that. The one good thing I have to say about this hostel is that the people I met were all really nice and fun and went out together every night, and they have a tv upstairs and a little kitchen (which we spent a lot of time in to avoid being in our smelly room). All in all I would not recommend staying here and would probably just wait until I had a little bit more money so I could actually enjoy my time in Santorini staying in a better place.…
I booked a bunk in a 6 bed female dorm. The room was anything but clean..and had a horrible smell. I quickly realised there was a 50 year old woman staying there who looked homeless. The fridge was full of her food and alcohol that I couldn't even put a bottle of water in. Sleeping was the worst part because she had a smokers cough so I got zero. Unreal! It's a shame because staff are lovely and the location is perfect. this was unbelievably uncomfortable. i think moving her to a room by herself and not in with young adults is appropriate because she wasn't sociable either.
A big black point for the night…. We can’t be with other hostel’s people at night « because of the noise » The man in charge was just « you can’t stay here »!!! We were in a hostel to know people and share with them and we couldn’t do it at all…. So great in day but a little upset for the night… The nights have to change!!!!! But day réception people were so Nice and gave us a lot of good plans and stuff to do on the island!!! And just Nice with anybody :)
Nice rooms, very clean, friendly backpackers. Day hosts were So cool, friendly, helpful and gave good advices. BUT the night Guy was not cool! It’s the only Hostel on this island, in the big city, famous for party but we couldn’t stay on the balcony because of the noise (the other backpackers were happy to see good vibe and joined us) but the night guy asks us to go outside the hostel. But IT’S A HOSTEL!! A place where you Can come alone and meet people! We borrowed a hairdry at 11pm and gave it back at 2am (cause we were 3 girls) and he was angry! We have a good Time with the other backpackers but we were all disappointed with the night guy’s behaviour.
The place is good the day guys were perfect but the night guy is the worst, « chut » every two seconds we were fired of the place because all of the hostel were together and we were making too much noise so we had to go on the parking next to the hostel. Ok for the localisation but not ok if you want to party a little (11pm)
I spent three nights at Fira Backpackers place with my friend. We booked a 10 people room. Thanks to the COVID and the kindness of the host, we ended up alone in a 6 people room. We enjoyed the room and the localisation of the hostel. People were nice and always ready to help. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a cheap place in Fira.
The staff, Hentrietta and Costas, were so kind, helpful and so patient with my endless questions. The location is just a 4 minute walk from the bus stop. Free laundry. The cleaning lady does an excellent job. I really enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely stay here again.
Good hostel, staff friendly. Right in the centre of town which is just at the end of the road. Has a pool. Good information about what is available locally and trips which are reasonably priced. Kitchen available to cook your own food/drinks. Had bathroom attached to the room which makes it noisy
+ - POOL: so needed in the summer - Good location - close to town for views and food - Great deal for ATV's and Scooters - Free washing machine - - Small rooms: Would definitely recommend staying in a room with an ensuite!
