Hotel's Favorite
I learned about Enigma Suites about 8 years ago, when it was named a top place to stay in Santorini on TripAdvisor. I never forgot. It took 8 years to get to Greece, and I'm so glad we stayed there!
Enigma Suites is beautiful, magical, and amazing in every way. We stayed in the room right behind the front desk, which I highly recommend if you don't want to go up and down a lot of stairs. The people who work there are so friendly and helpful. The room was even better than expected with every amenity we could wish for and the most perfect view of the caldera you could ask for. And the breakfast? Omigosh. So delicious and plentiful. You haven't lived until you've had Greek yogurt and honey, sitting on a balcony, looking at the beauty of the caldera.
We also enjoyed the bar -- good food and drinks (loved the Dirty Ginger) and great service. Heck, there was even a Golden Retriever there (the owner's dog) most days, so that made it pretty much perfect. I could not recommend this beautiful, small (just 7 suites), well cared for, friendly venue any more highly. Skip staying in Oia, which is pricey and hoity-toity. Fira is the perfect location, we thought. Close to transportation, the old port, and the best shops/restaurants.
Don't hesitate to book your stay at Enigma. You will love it!!

We stayed at Enigma Suites for 2 nights at a freshly renovated Suite for 5 people.
The room was friendly, big and had a private terrace were the breakfast was served. Located directly at the Caldera the view was outstanding.
The staff was very friendly. Especially Penny from the reception did a great job. More of a concierge than a receptionist. She was always very friendly and helpful and managed to fulfill all of our wishes.
Simply nothing to complain and highly to recommend.

The Enigma surpassed many 5* hotels we have stayed in the past with their personal service and commitment to your stay being the best it can be.
Chrisa was amazing and so kind, helpful, and personable. She arranged all our reservations, took care of our laundry and made sure we had everything we could (or couldn’t) think of!
Our Suite had the most amazing view of the Caldera and the sunset and we could spend the whole day on our patio. It was thoroughly cleaned by Anna daily and always felt so fresh. A special mention must go to Aldi who carried our heavy luggage up and down the steps with a smile!
The breakfast was HEAVEN and served by Eddie on our own patio in the morning. Our favorite were the rolls with homemade jam, the yoghurt with fresh seasonal fruits and the muesli. You also need to try the Freddo Cappuccino!!
The Enigma is centrally located and next to many excellent restaurants, shops & cafeterias. You can walk everywhere and can park at the public parking lots nearby. The hotel is located on a pedestrian and doesn’t feature a parking. Renting a car was a must for us, as we discovered the island on our own!
We also need to mention the tasty cocktails served on the rooftop terrace cafe! Here we had the best Aperol Spritz on the island and the service was as expected also very friendly!
All in all the Enigma felt like home to us and we were very sad to leave our newly made friends. BUT! We have already booked our 2022 stay and are very excited to return to our home away from home!

We stayed at Enigma for five nights in August 2020. It was amazing in all respects, and I’d book here in a heartbeat if visiting Santorini again.
We booked with the hotel directly, which was seamless. The location is amazing, literally as central as you can be in Fira (in our view, the best place to stay in Santorini - we also stayed in Oia on our trip, see separate review)...but the rooms are far enough below the hustle and bustle that it feels like you’re in your own world.
We stayed in a Premier Jacuzzi Suite, which was divine. The sunset views over the caldera were spectacular, and perfectly enjoyed from the privacy of our patio/jacuzzi. The room itself was huge, and the settings were awesome.
The breakfasts were fabulous: fresh fruit, eggs, iced cappuccinos, intensely creamy Greek yoghurt...I’m salivating just remembering it all!
Finally, the staff were an absolute pleasure. Penny, the manager, really made our whole trip a pleasure - securing as prime tables at all the top restaurants, and giving us the best local advice all around. I also left my iPad on the plane on the way to Santorini and Penny even secured its return to me.
There are so many choices in Santorini, and we found it tough to make a decision. To anyone in the same position, I would advice you stop your search and book Enigma.

+1
My partner and I stayed at Enigma Suites in August 2020 and had the most amazing week. We booked direct with Penny who was extremely helpful and kind before, during and after our stay in Fira. We stayed in a newly renovated apartment which was really spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. The daily housekeeper was very thorough and ensured we had everything we needed. We had asked Penny for a hot tub and outdoor lounging area and this room did not disappoint. The sunset views from Enigma Suites are the best we’ve experience in Santorini.
The location is perfect, only a few steps away from the shops and restaurants but slightly off the Main Street so very peaceful. There is a small cafe/bar which is very handy for lunch or a cocktail (Tommy’s margarita’s are delicious) and we loved the huge breakfast on our terrace each morning.
All of the staff at Enigma are extremely friendly and helpful but Penny is extra special, she ensures each and every guests stay is perfect, so much so we have booked to return to Enigma next summer, can’t wait!

Enigma is the place to stay for visiting Santorini and above all to have the better sunsets in all quietness. Since they change every day it is an endless experience.
On top of that the breakfast served according to your wishes, in the terrace of your room facing the sea of the caldera is a unique moment. And if you need anything ask the team, Chrisa especially, they will do their upmost to accommodate your requests.
Concerning the rooms they all have excellent amenities, make sure however to get the informations on their location in the property since some of them may imply a lot of stairs to reach the lobby at the time of getting out.

I’ve travelled around the world to some amazing places and this is by far the best vacation spot I’ve ever been to!
The Enigma staff is phenomenal! Chrisa and her team are all so friendly and helpful. From start to finish they took care of us, giving knowledge on the island, booking us dinner each night at different restaurants and booking tours. ALL of her recommendations were spot on. The linen, bath towels and robes made us feel like royalty, the quality was exceptional. Let us not speak of the beds and mattresses. I haven’t slept that well in ages. The Molton Brown amenities in our Suite made our stay even more luxurious.
What more can I say about the view that all previous guests haven’t said already? It is hands down jaw dropping! I already miss this place and look forward to returning!!

I have nothing but great things to say about Enigma Suites. Where do I begin, from the moment I made my reservation and throughout our stay they went above and beyond to make our vacation experience the best. Our room was the room we selected. What we saw in the picture is exactly what we got! Chrisa was absolutely wonderful as was the entire staff. Always willing to help with a smile. All the small details meant a lot to us. Our welcome bottle of wine. Delicious breakfast brought to our room daily. When we missed breakfast due to our early morning Caldera hike, Chrisa made sure that we got lunch sent to our room. The day we left at 7am she made sure to have a bagged breakfast made for us along with having a bell hop come in early to bring our bags up. The room was spotless and we loved our morning breakfast on our private veranda, afternoon cocktails and just winding down in the evening enjoying the breathtaking views. There are a lot of steps which we expected but totally worth it! We 100% recommend this hotel! I want to say thanks again Chrisa and your entire Enigma Suites staff for making our first trip to Santorini a memorable one! Hope to see you again in the future!

We had the most amazing time in Santorini and it definitely would not have been made so good if it wasn’t for this hotel. Before arriving at the hotel our communication about our arrival and stay was so prompt and every question, concern and recommendation I asked for was answered this was particularly helpful especially due to the COVID situation and the uncertainty of our stay and duration.
We arrived quite late at night but were explained everything on arrival, left a letter in our room explaining our checkin for the following morning and we selected our breakfast for the next day.
The breakfast that we had everyday was incredible, and the view was so picturesque. Again this view to see the sunset in the evening was insane.
Our stay would not have been as amazing as it was without Penny she was so incredible with anything we needed - the communication before arrival, as well as sorting out restaurant bookings, quad bike hire and recommendations for our days. We could not thank Penny enough for all her help during our stay, which was unfortunately cut short due to the new quarantine rules added to Greece, Penny sorted out everything for us regarding the duration of our stay, our room, returning the quad bike and our overall final night out.
We are so excited to return and cannot wait to get back to Santorini and the Enigma Suites x

The Enigma Suites team was phenomenal! From helping to set up airport transfers to daily hand-delivered customized breakfasts to organizing daily outings reservations and other suggestions our experience was second to none. The stunning views are complemented well by the attentive professional mask wearing and kind staff. Specifically Chrisa made our stay especially memorable by delivering a surprise birthday cake which was not only accompanied by a handwritten card but also tasted AMAZING!!
The drinks are excellent well priced and enjoyed best while soaking in the hot tub at sunset. We had high expectations based on the reviews we saw beforehand but they absolutely shattered them. For example, we were leaving for an early morning flight and would be missing breakfast but they were sure to provide us with food the night before!
The rooms are comfortable and well appointed with designer toiletries from Molton Brown. Bottled water and nespresso is complimentary. The room design and comfort is excellent (well suited for the gram!) Choose Enigma Suites for your stay and you will not be disappointed!
