Like many “hotels” in Santorini, which is primarily supported by tourism, it’s a multi-story residential building in central Fira converted into 7 rooms across 2 floors (and a rooftop terrace on the third floor) What we liked: central location, 1 block from the center of Fira. Friendly, efficient check in and check out (was prepaid). We had a small terrace but it just looked into the back alley. What we didn’t like: we had a rental car for all three days. Finding parking was actually not easy. We parked in the parking lot about 500M from the hotel. It was not a fun walk up hill with tons of tourists. The hotel is not easy to locate as it’s through some back alleys. What was in the room. The tub was gigantic. It was so big it almost didn’t make sense. 6 people could soak in it. And on the third night, when it seemed like several parties had checked in, the water pressure and hot water in the shower ran low in the evening. So I question whether filling up the gigantic tub was really realistic. Seems like something to advertise and differentiate but impractical. No amenities. No breakfast, pool, or view. Would I stay here again? Probably not. After reacquainting myself with Fira (I was last here 20 years ago), I have concluded there are much better options for 200 euros a night. Places that either have parking on property or have an actual view or have a pool and other amenities on site.

We had a fabulous time thanks to Nick and his team. It was easy to leave our bags, our room was ready early, they gave us tips on the island and were nothing but welcoming! The pool is great but get in early as it does full up quick. They give you separate pool towels compared to your normal shower towels which was also a great bonus in our eyes.

Stay was excellent. Nick and the team were super. Family run business and feels very homey. Would highly recommend. Location in the heart of Fira is also excellent. No ocean views, however value for money.

My daughter and I stayed in this beautiful hotel for three nights. It was clean and comfortable. The hotel is also located in the heart of Thira. With all this, the best and most valued part of our stay was Angelo at the front desk. Angelo is extremely professional, helpful and kind. Thank you Angelo for making our stay in Santorini even more comfortable!

We were so lucky to stay at San Giorgio, first of all thanks to friendly brothers at the front desk who helped us day after day with tips for transportation, restaurants and overall all the things we needed during our stay. In addition, being in the heart center of Fira, but just slightly tucked in the small street, was such a win! Not loud at all, but minutes away from old town, bus and taxi station. I highly recommend this pretty, clean and mostly welcoming hotel!!!!! Thank you;))) S&M

We were looking for a moderately priced hotel, not an easy thing to find on Santorini. This place filled the bill. We were impressed with the staff. Angelo is an excellent host and made us feel very welcome. He was super helpful and informative. He also arranged a free transfer from the airport for us. The decor of the hotel is modern and stylish. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a nice little balcony with handy clothesline. The bathroom was quite spacious and had a good, roomy shower. Wifi worked very well. We would stay here again if we are ever fortunate enough to return to Santorini.

Our trip to Greece got off to a great start! We flew from Istanbul, Turkey, to Athens and then to Santorini. We were impressed during our flight by the aqua blue water, before even landing at the Santorini airport! Our flight was a little bit delayed, but my husband was able to communicate with our hotel contact, Angelo, as San Giorgio offered free airport transfer and he assured us that there would be someone waiting for us with a sign that said “San Giorgio”. And sure enough, a gentleman was waiting for us. Our driver took our bags and we were driven to our hotel. It was a very smooth transition. Our driver was wearing ripped jeans and a Def Leopard tee shirt. I was actually slightly skeptical, but this guy proved to be full of information for our stay and he was the kindest of people. It was such a nice welcome to the island of Santorini and especially to our hotel. Angelo, who had been in close contact with my husband via Booking.com greeted us. He checked us in and showed us to our room. The room was bright and clean. It was small, but suited our needs. We had the only first floor room, close to the entrance and the front desk. It was not loud though, a concern of mine when we were taken to our room. There was a white bedspread and sheet on the bed with two comfortable pillows. I did see one stain on the bedspread, but otherwise, everything was clean. We had a small patio with a table and two chairs. Again, the room key controlled the power in the room, something consistent as we travelled through Greece. Angelo shared that there was a rooftop with tables and chairs that we were able to use at our leisure., and we did use this once when we ate leftovers for dinner one evening. There was also a microwave in the little kitchen on the rooftop. He gave us the low down regarding which restaurants to check out. He also informed us that the EuroBank ATMs had the highest fees and stated that there were so many other choices of ATMs in all of Greece with lower fees. This was a really useful tip for the entirety of our vacation. We arrived in Santorini on my husband’s birthday and Angelo helped us make a reservation at a beautiful restaurant right on the caldera with a sunset view. We took a pretty walk from the hotel to the restaurant. Our introduction to Santorini was wonderful and it went smoothly because Angelo was available with solid information regarding sights to see and restaurants to check out. We never would have considered the Red Beach, but Angelo insisted that it was worthwhile and told us how to catch the bus. He also let us know that the bus was easy to use and convenient to the hotel. (He was spot on!) The shower was clean and had hot water. The bathroom had shampoo and body wash. The towels were clean and soft. The shower had no shower door, it was designed this way, but it did leak and we used more than one towel to sop up the water. San Giorgio really should work to rectify this. There were also not many hooks at all in the bathroom to hang our wet towels on. Another consistent issue with many hotels in general. Give us more hooks in the bathroom. It makes a difference. Our time in Santorini was great. San Giorgio was a great hotel and we would likely stay there again if we return. Angelo made the stay wonderful; he was full of good information and always there to help. Keep it up, Angelo! Thanks for making our stay in Santorini wonderful.

We stayed here at the end of October. Great location in the middle of Fira. The accommodation is relatively new. The room was good and modern. Could have been a little better cleande. Bathroom was spacious but should have more amenities like abase for toiler paper!! The young man in reception was very friendly and helpful. We were also picked for free from the airport!!! Overall a good experience.

After arriving in Santorini and finding our hotel we had booked and paid for was absolutely nothing like the images, we searched for a very last minute room to stay in. We landed upon San Giorgio. On arrival the owners were very friendly and happy to show us their available rooms before taking payment. The room was very clean and modern with a lovely balcony. The staff were very helpful and made lots of suggestions for us to enjoy Santorini. We even got a private transfer back to the airport . Thank you for a lovely stay on your beautiful island
