This was our last stop on our island hopping holiday. The Majestic is located a 10 minute walk from the restaurants and shops in Fira. The staff at reception are very helpful and showed us to our room straight away. The room itself was of a very good size, very spacious and with good air con. Basic tea and coffee provided and spare sheets, pillows etc. super comfy bed. The bathroom was fine but could do with updating soon as it was very 70s black marble and the bath/shower a bit worn but worked fine. Jacuzzi jets covered in green but we didn’t use them. Otherwise very clean. The view from our room was over the caldera so we could enjoy the stunning sunsets. However, there was a very busy road right outside our balcony which was noisy in the day but thankfully didn’t affect our sleep at night. The road is the main downside to its location. It is the main road from the port to Fira and busy with fast cars, mad mopeds and quads. Crossing the road to the pavement opposite is not for the faint hearted and I would not like to be there with young children. Maybe I was overly nervous, but it was not a fun experience. A pedestrian crossing and speed limit, or a courtesy shuttle is desperately needed here for safety. There is an accident waiting to happen on that road. Breakfast was excellent. Great choice of hot and cold items. Coffee or tea brought to the table. Had lunch twice at the pool bar which was very good. Pool bar staff very good with great service. Didn’t try the restaurant in the evening as there was very few people there so we went in to town where there are heaps to choose from. I think maybe this is more a good 4 star hotel rather than a 5 star. However, we enjoyed the facilities. Just a shame about the busy road which you just couldn’t avoid.…
I’m staying here now and it’s awful. The staff are rude and when I asked for advice on booking a trip they sent me on a totally different trip than the one I wanted. Breakfast is awful and the bath is filthy . This is not a 5 star hotel - nowhere near ! If I could afford to I would move hotel .
We really liked this hotel. Just outside Fira so avoids the very busy part but a short and easy walk in. Pool is lovely, comfortable loungers and quiet and spacious. Breakfast also good. We had family room which worked well for us. Lovely and clean and modern. Kids enjoyed the games room too. Would recommend this hotel. Can get taxi to Oia which is beautiful for about 35 euros.
We stayed at the Majestic for a week after traveling to Santorini for a friend's wedding. When we arrived at the hotel we had a lovely greeting with a fresh towel and a drink of fruit juice to welcome us. The hotel is on a main road a short walk from Fira but we barely noticed the road noise and we appreciated being away from the main town. The view from the hotel is stunning, a beautiful caldera view where we were able to watch the sunset. Our room was comfortable and clean, there were plenty of drinks and snacks in the mini bar and facilities to make tea and coffee. The ceiling fan and air con were very welcome after a day in the sun! We ate at both the poolside bar and in the Crocus restaurant and both were fantastic. My husband enjoyed the steak in the Crocus restaurant so much he took us back for another one a couple of nights later. The breakfast was lovely, plenty of choice with some different options every day. Freshly cooked breakfast as well as fresh fruit, pastries, fruit juices and even prosecco. All of the above made for a great stay, however what really topped it off was the staff. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly and welcoming. Nothing was ever too much trouble. They were the highlight of the hotel. If we go back to Santorini we would definitely stay at the Majestic Hotel again.…
The hotel is only 5 minutes walking to the center. The service is very kind, all of them are really simpathetic. The view is the best both sides from the hotel. You can see the sunset without people around you. They have a somelier and a bar tender that makes you the experience superb.
We stayed at the Majestic for 2 weeks in the middle of June. We were not disappointed! From check in to check out we were looked after by amazing staff, from reception to the bar and the cleaners. The room was cleaned to an exceptional standard every day, the bar manager was superb, hotel was clean, pool area was spacious and never crowded. We would 100% recommend this hotel. One word of warning, there is a 10 minute walk in to Fira and the road is extremely busy. You have to cross to get to the path and it can be a little dicey at times. Probably not the best idea for someone with walking difficulties. But don’t let this put you off. Loved it and would definitely go back!
It was simply great from check in to check out … nicely kept rooms and a pretty good breakfast… total value for money.. need to improve their Wi-Fi which is dodgy and also their bathrooms especially the shower area.. staff was very courteous and friendly .. front desk and restaurant - Dinos and Melanie … a small walking distance from Fira main square … !!
We had a wonderful home stay at the Majestic FERA in Santorini . The place is away from the busy tourist spot of FERA but still at walking distance from the town square . Great place to relax and enjoy the poolside bar menu in late evenings . The staff is brilliant always ready to help ! Highly recommended
The Majestic is located just a quick walk from Fira - a town which we actually enjoyed more than Oia! The hotel has a simple and elegant front entrance and, as well, the hallway where the rooms are located. The breakfast offering was in a lovely location, tables with tablecloths, great selection of foods. The attention to guest needs was excellent (ironing board, laundry services). The front desk manager also acted as a concierge and provided excellent assistance with tour details and restaurant reservations. The hotel manager was also present and very helpful and welcoming. The pool area was great - we spent a day there! The only inconsistencies with all of this excellence were the hotel lobby - which is unappealingly decorated; the rooms - where although the furnishings/carpets/linens were of good quality - the rooms had a feel of 'motel' - the curtains were a bit odd/heavy - the lighting a bit dark; and the service at breakfast - there didn't seem to be enough staff so coffee was not refilled and dirty dishes were not taken away. All of the "pluses" definitely offset these relatively minor "minuses" - however, some attention to these matters would really take this to the outstanding level!…
Had the most amazing stay at the Majestic. We were in Santorini for a family wedding so got to see various accommodations on the island that family and friends were staying in and I’m still happy with my choice. Service was fantastic. We stayed for a week. All the staff were so helpful and friendly, they really made it a relaxing atmosphere for us. Pools were spot on with lots of loungers. Breakfast was nice with a good selection. We tried most of the menu at the pool bar, lovely and very reasonably priced. Even our seven year old fussy eater was happy. Our room was clean and a good size for the 3 of us. Aircon was great. The View from our garden was perfect. It’s not noisy at all. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Santorini. We were sad to leave. Walk to Fira is a short distance. I found the main bit of Fira too busy.…
