Pros: Location - A few seconds walk from the centre of Fira and the bus station, but away from the hustle and bustle so you're not overlooked by buses or passers-by like other hotels. Breakfast - Delicious! Good variety with small updates day to day too to keep things interesting. Pool - Beautiful pool, and unique mix of sunloungers to day beds to cabanas. I visited in May so I can't speak for the experience in peak season, but it was never too busy to find a lounger. I know opinions on hotels playing music by the pool vary from person to person, but I liked it - good music which varied from day to day, and that plus the sound from the water feature provided a good level of white noise that meant things felt a bit more private and drowned out the sounds of other guests' conversations, which if you have a bit more of a chattier group next to you is a relief! Cons: Noise!! - Potential noise was a big factor for me in choosing our hotel, as if you're paying ££ to stay somewhere you want to make sure you at least get a good sleep! However we were kept up till 1am, 1:30am and 3:00am(!) 3/7 nights due to unbelievably loud, blaring, THUMPING music nearby. Reception didn't know where it was coming from and earplugs and a fan (for white noise) did not help. I still can't find a single review stating others have experienced any noise... Very confusing! Plug sockets? - Sockets in this hotel are seriously temperamental, devices from straighteners to android tablets to iPhones would charge one day and not the next, only connect from certain angles or certain plug sockets (which would vary each day) it was seriously strange. This included trying with 5 different adaptors and also asking the cleaner for assistance! Not the end of the world but you would wake up with your devices on 0% because they hadn't charged overnight, which was a bit annoying.…
Genuinely the best hospitality I’ve ever had at a hotel. From the minute we got there the staff looked after us and made us feel special! Yannis and Elema (I hope I’ve spelt them correctly) were especially helpful. I do t have a single negative thing to say about our stay at the hotel. The location is also perfect too in a very central place. Early morning (about 6:00-6:15) you can catch a great view of the sunrise from the window in the restaurant.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted with 2 cool glasses of fresh lemonade and a tour of the property. We made reservations for dinner which was more than a meal it was an experience. Our room was a white oasis of luxury. The location could not have been more convenient as we were only a few short steps to the main Promenade and the beautiful sunset views. When we asked for an early morning wake up call with a 4:00 pick up, we were told that a boxed breakfast would be packed and waiting for us which was delicious and so appreciated as nothing was open at the airport. The staff was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and so very friendly. We hope to return to this beautiful luxurious resort one day. It exceeded our expectations!
Great place to stay. Friendly staff through the hotel. Fantastic location. I would definitely stay there again should I return to Santorini. The only negative was the repetitive breakfast, although the spread was nice, it just got boring having the same every morning.
From the beginning of our trip all the way up until arriving at the airport, our experience at the Aressana was nothing short of perfect. Whilst this hotel is stunning in its aesthetics, it is the caring and friendly staff who have made this trip so unforgettable. Upon arrival we were greeted by Yannis who is one of the most kind and polite people we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. He could not do enough for us, but also treated us like a friend or family - not people he was paid to look after. Thank you Yannis for making Santorini perfect from beginning to end. Michalis also made a huge contribution to our amazing experience. Not only did he transfer us safely to all areas of the island, but also offered insightful and useful knowledge of the island through recommendations of day trips and restaurants - all of which we listened to and thoroughly enjoyed To Georgos- thank you for making us feel safe upon entry to the hotel at night, when we’d stayed out past our bedtime at the highlander bar or 2 brothers. We will miss you! Pantelis! You made us smile every time we would leave the hotel during the afternoon. Thank you for all your help with day trips and just general insight into the island, we were really able to make the most of our trip because of you. We hope to see you at St Andrews in Birmingham in the future. Elena was also a huge asset to the reception team! Like all the staff, Elena spoke perfect English and was able to help us with any queries and ensure our stay was comfortable and safe And also a huge thank you to all the waiting and kitchen staff who work very hard from morning to night, but always seem so happy doing so. The food was amazing but the best thing was your efficient and friendly service. Notably Argyro, who waited on us for much of our stay, both at mornings during the busy breakfast time as well as at lunch time. Lastly- the housekeeping team. You kept our beautiful room clean and always offered a smile when passing throughout the hotel. If anyone is thinking about coming to Santorini, don’t do it without staying at the Aressana. A clean, beautiful hotel with even more beautiful people inside and out making it work so well. Not to mention a perfect location which is right in the heart of Fira- where it’s all happening in Santorini. We will see you all very soon, Thank you thank you thank you again!! Efaristow.…
Top five out of five marks for this fabulous hotel and spa, a credit to the owners and all the staff who work so hard to make the holiday. From the menent we arrived, after midnight, we were made to feel extra special with scented face towels and refreshing lemonade. Our beautiful junior suite was so well appointed and maintained everyday by the housekeeping team. We recall Erica as one of the excellent team that served a full breakfast buffet every morning. Everything about this hotel jas a touch.of class, from the pool deck area to the unique pieces of art. Yannis and all reception staff were beyond helpfull with any request. Our week in Santorini was just heaven. Thank you to all the team.
We stayed at this hotel for one week in April , was such a relaxing holiday , plenty of shops , bars , restaurants, we recommend the highlander bar , friendly staff , good atmosphere, diff types of music and all diff ages , lots of gift shops . Also not recommend children at this hotel , not much for them to do ,the only issue I had was swimming pool very cold , needs heating
What a fantastic holiday! This holiday is all due to the great service from the wonderful staff members such as Yannis, Elena, Erika, Dimitris and Argiris. You all have been so amazing and helpful. It has made our trip more memorable and fulfilled. We shall be back again and cannot recommend this hotel enough, all due to these staff members. Thankyou so much x Chadha family x
Hotel is really peaceful and conveniently located to the the shops and restaurants. We stayed here 4 nights but wished we stayed at least a week. All the reception staff were helpful in telling us about where places were and how to get there. There are also some really cute spots all over the hotel for some nice pictures . Cant wait to come again!
We had such a wonderful holiday in the Aressana Spa Hotel Fira. We stayed there for a week. We got such a beautiful bedroom, it was spotlessly clean and overlooked the private pool area. The bed and pillows were so comfortable and it was a proper king size bed, not 2 beds pushed together which usually happens. Breakfast every day was fabulous and all so fresh with lots of options. The pool area is gorgeous, very comfortable pool side beds and loungers. This hotel is spacious, modern and beautifully designed and furnished. All the staff were so nice and helpful. We highly recommend this hotel.
