We had an amazing stay at the Kalisti. Once you get over not having coffee in your room (the water is not potable, and bottled water is not provided, so you just need to wait until 8 am for your coffee in the breakfast room) there is not anything to complain about if you have the right room. We were in 306,and it was wonderful. A comfortable bed, separate sitting room, spacious bathroom, and large deck with a hot tub. There was even a bit of a sea view in the distance. Some of the other rooms in our group were very small and the ones on the lower level did not have views, so I think the room location makes a big difference. I did not notice an elevator, so you need to be able to navigate stairs to be on this level. It is on a busy street but once inside, we did not notice any traffic sounds even with our windows open. They could provide a bottle of water but there is a mini mart across the street, so it is readily available.

Just spent a week at the hotel with my wife and 14 year old son. On the plus side the hotel was very clean, the staff were excellent (really excellent), very good location and nice pool. The only down side and I need to take some of the blame was the room. The description I thought said it had a separate living area with a pull out bed, but it didn’t the main bed and the pull out were in the same room not exactly what we or my 14 year old wanted. The only other issue was that there were no drawers in the room (and I mean none) with only hangers, so we ended up partly living out of a suitcase The above niggles aside I would certainty recommend this hotel

The staff were excellent--efficient, caring, helpful, friendly, all fluent in English. The hotel is beautiful, the breakfast delicious with many options of bread, fruit, hot dishes, beverages, one of the best breakfasts of our trip. The rooms are immaculately maintained with excellent beds. Storage is short, however, with no drawers, hooks, and only one surface (in the closet) for placing items. The bathroom is small, and the shower area is very tiny and has only three walls with no way to keep the shower spray contained. The pool, although a bit cold for our visit, was lovely, and the hot tub was most refreshing. The bar area and breakfast areas were well maintained with outstanding staff. We liked the location, which was central to the main part of town but did not have the beautiful view of the Caldera offered by other venues. We would definitely stay there again, however.

Hello.. we were here in the middle of Sept 2019. Our room was $2k+ for a 3 day stay which is really high (for me). What we got for that was a small room with a bathroom that was so small we had to move the needed trash can outside because there was just no room for it in the bathroom! When we got there our room had a very heavy smell of cleaner .. so much so that we could not stay inside to room (with all windows open to clear the smell)! We went to complain, but got the old "we are full booked excuse" sorry. We were told that this hotel had the largest outdoor pool on the island.. not sure it was .. and I did not really care! Breakfast is served in a cafeteria styled basement room (not what you expect from $2k+ hotel cost!!) while the pool terrace was left unused but perfect for something like this!! The only good thing about this place was it's location.. it was only a 5min walk to the main center of the shops and cliff views which was it's only redeeming qualities! As this place is situated on a main street, please be aware that traffic noise is extensive during the day and not very quiet at night (lots of car horns, etc) In my opinion you could do alot better and save $$$ if you shop around ... next time I will!!
