Firstly the positives: The location was fantastic very close to shops and amenities, the view from the apartment was stunning and the staff were very friendly, informative and helpful! The negatives: the photos of the rooms are slightly misleading as the rooms are lot more outdated than we are led to believe. Though the hot tub depth and views are lovely the hot tub was quite tepid and the jets not very powerful. There is also a time limit for use closing down at 9:30pm. The breakfast is very average for the cost of the hotel. Overall a nice stay but not worth the price tag!
This is a great facility. The staff is friendly and accomodating. And clean! So clean! I would return any time I was traveling to Santorini. It was honestly perfect. We had an issue when leaving early for the airport, and Andrew in the office located a taxi for us and even made us a box breakfast to go! I could not recommend this facility any stronger. GO!!
First of all, we stayed here at the end of a long 20 vacation across Europe. With that being said our hotel in Paros, Greece right before arriving in Santorini was so updated, luxurious and newer which might be why we were a little disappointed upon seeing the older and outdated room. I do have to say this alone would not bother me, but we had a few other issues. I first want to say that the staff is amazing. They are very accommodating, friendly and kind. They are attentive and always trying to make your stay more pleasant, which is why it pains me to have to write a not so good review for this hotel. Our first night there was an umbrella that was moving around in the stand on the patio above our bedroom and it kept us up all night, but this did get fixed. Additionally, my biggest complaint was the bed. My husband and I are not picky, but this is the worst hotel bed we have ever slept on. It is thin, hard, you can feel the springs and it is comparable to a pull out sleeper sofa mattress. Please, please get new mattresses. We woke up so many times during the night during our 3 nights here. We are both young and don’t even have bad backs/chronic joint issues but woke up so sore every morning. Also, because the staff is so attentive they are always walking up and down the stairs and around the patios so if you like to enjoy your private balcony or you are booking this for your honeymoon I would look elsewhere. It is not all that private when you are watching the sunset while the pool guy is cleaning the jacuzzi (which does not get hot by the way). Also we stayed in room 4 which actually shared a patio with the neighboring room which does not look that way online. Yes this hotel is a great price for the view you get and being in Santorini, but I really didn’t enjoy anything else about it which is unfortunate. Pros: the view and the staff Cons: terrible bed, outdated, not private…
Where do I start - we had such a perfect stay in the Executive Room. The main standouts were the staff (Maria, Eduart and the team did everything to make our stay comfortable and memorable), and the amazing view we had from our hot tub, with the privacy that we had from being located at the top of the property. The location was perfect : so close to the main bus station, the centre of Fira, restaurants and a (well priced!) supermarket, but also out of the way of the main tourist streets so that it was calm and peaceful. Every day there was a guest newsletter from the staff with useful information and recommendations (if you're in full holiday mode and don't feel like planning everything). Breakfast was simple, but extremely plentiful to get you through the day.
On my fourth trip to Greece, we decided to visit Santorini--and it's true what they say--come to Santorini for the views! There was nothing better than watching the sun dip below the Aegean from our private jacuzzi while sipping on a glass of chilled rose' courtesy of the lovely staff at Kamares. Everything at Kamares is finely attuned to give you the best experience. Our room was comfortable, spacious, and clean, with a private sitting area and jacuzzi, all in gorgeous Cycladic white, with natural and calming elements. From starting the day on the private patio with a delicious breakfast of eggs, toasts, local fruits, breads, pastries, and sweets, to finishing it off with wine in the jacuzzi, Kamares set the tone for a romantic, restorative, and luxurious vacation. While Santorini is extremely busy and crowded, Kamares was the perfect respite from the throngs of tourists. It's centrally located in Fira, surrounded by restaurants, shopping, and views, but once you take those few steps down the front steps, you're transported to your own private oasis. What really sets Kamares apart is it's incredibly devoted staff. From the moment we arrived, we were treated to a level of Greek hospitality that would make your Yiayia proud. They went above and beyond to help us track down lost baggage from the airport, make recommendations, and ensure that our romantic stay in Santorini was one we will always remember. We were treated like VIPs and we would return in a heartbeat!…
Everything about this stay was amazing. The staff cares about every detail and goes above and beyond to make the experience congelable, enjoyable, and memorable. Amazing views, great food, and a phenomenal location to see everything the island has to offer. Thank you Maria and Ben for a trip we will never forget. We’ll be back!
We have just spent the happiest 6 days at Kamares apartment. The position is perfect the staff exceptional and the apartments comfortable and spotless. Thank you to all at the apartments especially Maria and Benny for making us feel so welcome.
We originally booked our stay in 2020, but due to Covid we finally arrived in May 2022. Firstly I was so impressed that they held our booking/credit for 2 years, and when we got out of the taxi after a terrible transport day, Maria gave me the warmest Welcome hug before we even got to reception and my stress just melted away. We stayed in Apartment 4, and the sunset views were stunning. Even though they share terraces, each one has just enough privacy so that you don’t see each other while you’re enjoying the spa or breakfast. Maria recommended tours and sights to visit, and she even arranged a smart car to be dropped off to us for 2 days, which was awesome since it was raining. When we went on a sunset cruise we forgot to submit our breakfast order, but Eduart was an angel and had it delivered any way. Ben was great in cleaning our spa every day, removing the cover and putting out our umbrella. Lina was lovely too, lovingly making our room up every day and trimming the roses my husband and Maria secretly organised for our anniversary. Overall we stayed in Greece for 26 days, but the 7 days we stayed at Kamares were the cherry on top. The whole team made us feel like family and to be honest I cried a bit when we left. Thank you guys for making my bucket list trip even more amazing than I expected. Love, Robin (and Matt) 😉…
This was our first time to Santorini. I appreciated the emails prior to arriving with a map on how to get to the apt, answers to parking, laundry, etc. We were a couple with our two teens. The apartment was a great set up, room for parents and separate twin beds for kids. The hot tub was right outside our room, overlooking the caldera. It wasn't hot, but it felt great after walking around all day and they were nice enough to turn the temp up when asked. It was also cleaned daily. The breakfast delivered to our patio was amazing. No better way to start the date than with coffee, fresh yogurt and pasties on the patio. Got great suggestions for dinner (Yogi's, so good) and made sure our dinner delivery got to us while we enjoyed the sunset from the patio. Staff also called the local laundry service to find out price and availability for wash and fold, which was on our walk to the bus station. The rooms were clean and well maintained. It was nice and quiet at the end of Fira. There were local dogs that would bark at times, and we could hear wild chickens in the distance. Close to restaurants, the bus station and grocery store (wine and snacks). When my husband slipped on the stairs, they were great checking in on us and called a dr to come and examine him. They also brought us medications and a support for his foot. (all at no cost to us) They arranged a car for us to go back to the airport, and had breakfast delivered early prior to our departure. Their customer service was on point with knowing our names and being helpful without being intrusive. All of us agreed it was the best part of our European trip.…
The hotel is in a great location within Fira. Totally accessible to town. The views you get from your balcony are spectacular, it has friendly staff and clean rooms. One word of caution is that the hot tub of our Superior Apartment did not have a view of the caldera at all if that is important to you. Also privacy is not always guaranteed due to nature of property. But overall we enjoyed our stay.
