The rooms at virgina caves are private, beautiful, large and very clean. We stayed in a superior cave (Vendema - room 2) which also had an outdoor patio and jacuzzi pool. The thing missing here for us was the drawbacks of the outside space - we had deckchairs and not loungers because of the layout outside, and the sun was only on the area until about 2pm. From the balconies themselves you can't see sunset which was a bit of a letdown, and having come from Imerovigli I'd argue the views there are much better. Some other drawbacks that we found workarounds for: - No free breakfast, which for the price I would truly expect - Only given one set of towels so we had to ask for pool towels - The jacuzzi was set to hot (maybe what most people expect but it wasn't pleasant in the 28 degree heat!), so we asked for it to be turned down. - The transfer to the airport is offered for 40 euros. Find a local and they'll charge you more like 30.

We have just returned after spending almost a week at Virginias Cave Villas - beautiful location, exceptional villas, secluded and private yet only a short walk to the buzz of Oia. Villas; spotlessly clean, really cool bathroom, comfy bed and all the amenities needed including a private hot tub with the most amazing views... Location; right on the Caldera, couldn’t be better - a short walk up the steps to the main strip with loads of great restaurants, bars and shops Our experience: 100% - Mario and his team looked after us so well, great suggestions for restaurants and we really couldn’t have asked for more ! We will be returning to Oia as prefer it to Fira and when we do, we will be staying at Virginias Cave Villas - it was perfect !

I will run short of superlatives here . View stunning / jaw -dropping , impeccable apartments in the local ‘cave style ‘ . Staff including (‘Super’)Mario couldn’t be more helpful - taking bags , being contactable through WhatsApp , booking transport at non-extortionate rates and organising the wonderful catamaran trip around the caldera . We had room 2 the superior suite and I recommend it . Had a nice sitting area with spa and it had a bit of shade later in the day and I tell you even in mid October it is pretty warm . Also recommend restaurants Karma , Roka, Candouni and Katina Fish Tavern in Ammoudi

We stayed in the Standard cave villa during our two night stay in Oia, Santorini in September. The other reviews are accurate; this isn’t a traditional hotel with a reception desk. But that’s one of the reasons I chose it. I wanted to make our accommodations experience unique. I wanted to experience a stay in one of the white cave houses for which Santorini is so famous. Virginia’s Cave Villas was the perfect place for us offering breathtaking views along with a comfortable, spacious setting! Yes you need to be prepared for lots of stairs, but that’s going to be the case for anywhere in the Oia area I would assume unless you find a place near the top. It is nice that here you get away from the thousands of tourists, and Mario sends someone to meet you to help you with your luggage which is a lifesaver! Mario was very helpful and accommodating and even provided us with some plug adapters since the ones we brought were purchased to work in Italy (which is where the majority of our vacation time was spent). I would highly recommend Virginia’s Cave Villas to anyone wanting to get the true Oia, Santorini experience!

Great location, in the heart of Oia, near shops and restaurants. You can't see the sunset from the room but you are literally a 5 minute climb (everything is a climb in Santorini). From check-in to check out, everything was wonderful. We even had fresh fruit and a bottle of wine waiting for us in the room. We had the standard villa but I think we had one of the best rooms .... we had our own private little balcony with chairs and hot tub. The villa beside us had little privacy. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again and I would highly recommend them!
