When you have a large group you want the best for everyone. Hotel Aethrio in Santorini is the best. On the best hill , near all the shops and restaurants and a staff so welcoming we did not want to go home. This hotel is superb. Views in all directions. The hotel was traditional and authentic. The deck on top was made for sunsets! If you want a family gathering this is the place. Aggeliki and her staff were the best and most hospitable ever. They arranged whatever we wanted .We will visit this magical place again.

Surrounded by the hustle and bustle of the Oia streets and the crowds jostling to get the best views is the wonderful Aethrio Hotel. As soon as you step through the gates you feel like you are in a mini walled village with a lovely swimming pool and terrace as the central square. The staff were so helpful and attentive and even when we did have an issue it was sorted very quickly. Our room was a very good size with it's own sun terrace although I have to say that the shower cubicle was quite small for a broad 6ft guy. The breakfast was always fresh varied and plentiful with different breads, cheeses jams, eggs and cereals. Dont expect a big hotel buffet. This was more of a traditional Greek/continental style and was plentiful with the option of sitting inside or outside. The hotel was full when we were there, I think there were 18-20 rooms and it never felt crowded. You are literally a 1 minute walk from the main street of Oia and 5 minutes( depending on the crowds) from the best sunset viewing spots ( see my other reviews for alternative spots). The hotel also serves light lunches up until 3pm and bar drinks till 8.30pm. The only minor negative I would suggest is that our Superior room had a kettle and cups but no tea coffee or milk to make anything so we didn't understand why the kettle was there. Overall the hotel is a great choice, very reasonably priced for Oia with views of blue domed churches although not the Caldera ( that would cost £100's more and wasnt needed) . I would definitely recommend people to stay here.

My wife and I spent four nights at this lovely Villa with a friendly efficient staff ,very nice accommodations, and lovely grounds and pool area . A better location can not be found in Oia as it is right in the middle of town , just a stones throw from the taxi and bus stations . But even with that central locale , the villa is a quiet and comfortable oasis . It also has a nice deck for viewing the fabulous sunsets of Oia . We had a large apartment with a decent bathroom , nice kitchenette , and large living area with bed ( may be too firm for some ) and table/chairs . The villa consists of a number of rooms at varying levels .From our upper room and patio, we had a great view of the Aegean Sea . Breakfasts are included and are from 8:30-10:30 . They have the usual Greek breakfast fare which is very good . Transportation to and from the airport and/or port are provided for 34 Euro . We enjoyed our time here and would recommend it to all !

Exellent staff that were more than willing to help and solve baby related issues. Pool area great for families and to relax. Aim for a superior room as they are a lot nicer than the budget ones. Close proximity to the restaurants.

Can't fault this hotel. Right in the centre of Oia, but manages to be really quiet and relaxing. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, especially Periklis and Kosta at the front desk. Our room was very clean, spacious and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely, just what we needed to get us going for the day. We also had a poolside lunch on our last day, freshly made and delicious! Totally recommend using the rooftop terrace to watch the sunset to have a beautiful unobstructed view without the crowds. We used the transfer service to the airport which was brilliant, took out any stress and was very reasonably priced. We will be recommending to everyone and we cannot wait to return in the future. Thank you Aethrio!
