Aethrio is by far the best hotel we’ve stayed in during our trip through Greece. The room was very cosy with its own small terrace, and overall the hotel feels more like a tiny village with cute houses. The people were very kind and helped us with booking a day cruise, a rental car, transfer from and to the port, ... They speak a lot of languages (English, French, German, ...) and are always willing to help out. The breakfast was really nice with lots of different foods, with something new every day. The swimming pool is also really nice. You can order drinks from the bar and even a few things for lunch like pasta. Its location is perfect, with lots of restaurant near, and only a 1 minute walk to the ‘main street’ of Oia. Would definitely stay here again if we ever come back to Santorini! Thank you for the nice stay!

Aethrio was in the perfect location if you’re looking to stay in the heart of Oia, just steps from all the main streets and views, but also peaceful and quiet when you’re relaxing by the pool. If you can’t afford the cliff-side sea views of the most expensive hotels in Oia, but still want to be based there you won’t find better value than this. Only down side was from the pictures I expected our balcony to have a sea view or something but I think those photos they use must be of the sunset terrace instead. We had a pool view though, but ground floor so couldn’t really see much. The staff were all really helpful and friendly and gave us good info on the local area. The hotel had blue domes, pretty flowers and is lovely to photograph just by itself. The breakfast was pretty basic and the same thing each day but still tasty and don’t let some of the bad reviews put you off. The rooms were again basic and bed quite hard, but it was spacious and all we needed for a base to explore.

Beautiful hotel in the centre of Oia, with everything you need a short walk away. Aggeliki and Perikles were very friendly, warm and welcoming and available to help with whatever we needed. The complimentary local wine on arrival hit the spot perfectly. The rooms were lovely and the pool was amazing. They had a rooftop terrace with an amazing 360 degree view out over the sea and the caldera, where you could also watch the sunset and see some of the neighbouring islands. Very safe for children with the layout. Extremely covid friendly, very well socially distanced. Highly highly recommended.

The view of Aegean Sea from the room (no 12 ) was just breathtaking. Open the bedroom door and enjoy the serenity of sea view from your bed. It is a lovely hotel with helpful and friendly staffs. Bus station is just few steps away from the hotel. Highly recommended!

The hotel complex is very beautiful and clean. I also liked our room which was super clean and lovely decorated. The manager is a very nice person and helpful. The pool is big and has a nice temperature, sunbeds are also provided but unfortunately you can not move them because they are fixed to the floor. The location is superb, within some steps you are in the middle of bustling Oia, but the hotel area is very quiet. You have to take into consideration that you can not directly access the hotel by car. There are plenty of parking zones free of charge outside the city and you have to carry your suitcase - its manageable however worth the info. The only downturn was the breakfast. We liked it that the hotel takes Covid 19 measurements very serious so there was a buffet where lady served us. The quality of the food did not match the quality of the hotel. The omlette was put in a container which was not heated so sometimes it was already cold when we got there, also the bread and croissants seemed to be bought from a big cash and carry market and not a bakery. The bread tasted like gum. Items like honey for the greek yoghurt were pre packed, so could never reach the quality of honey in a glass for example. There were no nuts for the greek yoghurt. The juices (apple, orange) were packed with sugar, definitely convenience items but on the low cost side. I do not mean to be rude to write this because the place overall is beautiful and we would definitely come back. But the breakfast could be improved.
