This is a fabulous resort and we thoroughly enjoyed our 7-night stay in late August. This was our first trip to Santorini and I clearly understand what all the fuss is about. The island is beautiful, the people are friendly, and the late summer climate was perfect.
This resort surely enhanced our experience. The hotel website photos really say it all and in my opinion are very accurate. The resort is literally carved into the slope and from all angles you get gorgeous views of the caldera. We stayed in villa 8, an Allure suite with a king bed and a jacuzzi hot tub inside the villa bathroom. I particularly loved this villa because every room had large picturesque windows out onto the resort and caldera, including the bedroom. We also had a small private terrace and while some guests comment that there isn’t a great deal of privacy, it didn’t bother us; I could count the number of times on one hand that I saw a guest pass down the steps past our villa.
The resort is also well situated and built as far down as you could possibly build on the cliff. This means you’re not looking down at other hotels and other people. While yes this means a few more steps to get to the resort, there’s a feeling of greater exclusivity then the resorts nearer to the road. The different villages across Santorini each offer their own uniqueness and if you end up selecting Oia for your stay I think this is the best hotel and best hotel location in Oia.
I should also note that we took advantage of the Mystique’s relationship with the Istoria hotel where we went a couple of times to enjoy a day on the black sand beach. I’d highly recommend this.
Lastly, my partner and I were engaged during our stay and everything was perfect. The team at the Mystique really went above and beyond to create a very special evening, a romantic dinner on the private terrace. With such an incredibly memorable event I could not think of anything I’d improve, including the excellent and professional team. Nor can I think of another setting I’d rather have been in.
I want to send a special thank you to the wonderful staff for making our experience so great, including the concierge team Dimitra and Antonia, and Dorota who waited on us daily for breakfast and lunch by the pool, as well as the countless team of wait staff who’s names I’m already forgetting!
Looking forward to returning one day.

Well Santorini has a very special vibe and Mystique is an integral part of it. We have just returned from work/vacation holidays and we loved the place. A mere 20 mins drive from the airport and the car drops you off at a narrow street. Hotel porters are already waiting there and take your luggage. Now the fun part begins. Santorini is up and down. You walk down uneven steps for 1 minute, white, blue and grey colours all around you and in front a maginificent caldera. Immediately you want to be part of it. Check in was very quick and we were ushered into our room Wet allure suite. An outside jacuzzi, huge terrace, bedroom, living room and bathroom. All set inside the cliff. I loved the bathroom and shower as it is like a small pool and there was no way an water could spill outside. It is so deep! Aircon was on but we turned it off as it was pleasant enough without it. The terrace has a table, chairs, sunbeds and jacuzzi and THE view. You will love it. The only thing about Santorini and accomodation in Oia or Imerovigili is that you feel kind of watched. Privacy is there but as the villas are build on top of each other with small steps running in all directions there is nonstop someone passing by and having a look at your terrace. Waiters and rooms service are discreet they never look but other guests maybe frequent visitors. It is not entirely pleasant BUT it is not something which spoils you holidays. Just get used to it and once you wander around Oia you will see that other hotels have even less privacy. Main pool is pleasantly cool, pleanty of sunbeds as well. You can have breakfast in your room or in the restaurant near the pool. I recommend caramelized bananas, yummy! We always had an apperol spritz for lunch and for dinner I recommend Lure restaurant or just simply wander into Oia and within 8 minutes you have a huge array of restaurants at your feet. Your choice. Anyway an early booking is always recommended. We loved the sun, the view, silence and definitely will come back. Wifi was the only sore point, sometimes it was not available and we could not connect. I do not know the reason. Mystique is a wonderful place and if you want to see Oia, caldera then this is the place to be.

We stayed for 5 nights and had a wonderful experience at the hotel. Our stay was paid by points (stay 4 nights and get 5th one free), which made it extremely good value. The hotel location is perfect, right on the entrance of Oia town (sunset views/ shops/ restaurants), the setting is spectacular right on the edge of a cliff with incredible Aegean Sea panoramas. The service is attentive, the rooms are beautiful, we enjoyed every second. Also, whilst no specific Bonvoy Elite benefits were granted (early check in/ late check out/ complimentary room upgrade), I was still thanked for my loyalty, hence felt valued as a member. In such a setting, and with only 40 rooms, I appreciated that there is less room for deploying specific member benefits, and it also didn’t diminish our exceptional experience throughout our stay. Make sure you go and spend a day at their sister hotel called “Istoria” - it’s down on the other side, right on the incredible Black Beach, and has a pool to die for (the biggest on the entire island)

Do not waste your money or your vacation by staying at this hotel! Where can I even start from…we had to extend our trip to Santorini by one more day and unfortunately my hotel was fully booked so we decided to spend our extra day in Mystique…first of all the room they “up graded” my family to was not cleaned! As I was showering I thought I thought I saw cracks on the wall, after looking closely I noticed I was seeing long pieces of hair all over the wall, and the shower floor! grossed out I tried reaching out for the bathrobe only to find more hair on the robe, then as as I started examining the rest of the bathroom I noticed hair all over the bathroom! When I called the front desk they asked me to bring down a video for them! That’s correct! Instead of sending someone to check it out they asked for me to bring down a video! Which I did!!
This hotel has many steps, and in the heat of Santorini very tiresome to walk up and down (coming from someone who regularly exercise) I took the video down to front desk and politely told them that not looking to change my room at this time since I’m only there for one night and I have to check out early in the morning (7:45 to be exact) so I’m just bringing it to their attention that they need to pay close attention to proper house keeping! This should not be acceptable at any hotel let alone a “luxury” one.
They apologized.
Next, one of the AC units wasn’t working either, And the room was muggy and humid!
Annoyed but glad to be there for only one night I asked the front desk to please send porters to my room by 7:45 to help with the luggage’s because I’ll have my transfer waiting to take us to the airport!
I should have mentioned we are BONVOY platinum members and as part of our status we have the option of complementary breakfast. Since the restaurant breakfast didn’t start until 8 AM and we had to check out they gave me the option of boxed breakfast and i agreed and asked for it to be vegetarian! The next morning they sent 2 breakfast boxes ( for 4 people) and they were Turkey sandwiches!!!
I was annoyed yet again but this time I didn’t cate and just wanted to leave the hotel and asked the front swak to please make sure the porters are here on time to help with luggages as I have a transfer waiting for me….they said “no problem” the porters are actually “waiting” to come to my room, I said in that case it’s ok to send them early to me.
Like I mentioned there are many steep steps, so climbing up the steps with luggages is not easy! Hence most of these hotels have porters to help w the luggages. Anyway we waited from 7:30 until 7:50 for the porters to show up! But they did not!! My husband was so beyond annoyed that he took the luggages up to the street himself with his bad back!! He refused to call the front desk AGAIN for something g we had already called twice for!
I apologize for such a long review but If you are here reading reviews it means you want to know about other travelers experience. Our experience was terrible and I would suggest to look at other properties. This place is not worth it!

Me and my family travel all around the world and stay in best possible hotels. Mystique Santorini provided one of the best services I have ever experienced for my 30th Birthday. I never expected a St. Regis Maldives equivalent of service, but to be honest Mystique Santorini went even further.
1. I absolutely recommend this property for Gold and Diamond Bonvoy members. I booked two rooms for me and my friends and we received a 2-tier upgrade for both rooms. After visiting numerous of countries I never experienced such a high level of respect for my loyalty to Marriott. This upgrade changed completely my vision and since my visit I always recommend the property to anyone. My family will be visiting shortly and the decision to choose Mystique again is 100% based on the amazing value for Gold or Diamond members.
2. The breakfast was far beyond the St. Regis Maldives, which I rate as one of the most luxurious properties I have visited. Unimaginable choice of healthy dishes, power bowls, nuts, everything you can imagine. I had to pay for the breakfast, but to be honest this was the best part of the day, combined with the view it is 1000% worth the money.
3. My friends requested a cake for my birthday, which was provided for free of charge. The cake itself was the most delicious thing I have ever tasted. It was served with a greeting card and surprise song by the staff. Absolutely thrilled by that. When I return one day (for sure I will), I really hope to find a similar cake and I am sure the hotel staff will assist me.
4. Me and my friends all still remember this remarkable experience. I can’t look at any other hotel in Santorini from now on. As I mentioned above, the level of respect and the perks for Gold and Diamond members are TOP 1 in the world from what I witnessed in other properties. For me, personally, I never stay twice in a hotel who did not provide an upgrade and always repeat the hotels (me and my family) who did.
The Mystique team was super kind, provided top level of service and combined with the views and and the unique atmosphere, rooms, amenities and more this surely means that this hotel must be your first and only choice if you want to experience the best of Santorini.
Thank you for making these moments unforgettable! Can’t wait to come again!

We had a wonderful stay here for 8 days. We had a stay in a spiritual suite with its own hot tub outside which we used a lot and a small gym room in the suite which we really should have tried to use more. The views from the room were lovely. All the rooms have great views but the terraces of the rooms all look quite different in terms of privacy. Ours was semi private near the spa which meant a few people walking past. If privacy is really important then may be worth checking with hotel beforehand. The hotel location was great as just a short stroll into the Main Street of oia so it’s a little quieter . The service was friendly but really efficient. When we arrived at the hotel we were met at the top of the steps by staff to carry our bags down and similarly they carried them back up to the car when we left, it is no mean feat as there are a lot of steps to the reception and our cases were heavy. We used the concierge WhatsApp to make a few restaurant reservations which was quickly done and the restaurants all gave us great tables. A taxi back from Ammoudi Bay was also organised over what’s app and arrived really quickly. Breakfasts were super but perhaps the all day dining menu could have had a few more simple classics on for our taste. We did the wine tasting at the hotel, would recommend. Dinner at Lure was beautifully presented and it has a fantastic setting, but we were early in the season and it was a little cold and windy, worth a visit when warmer. We had a wonderful stay and would just like to say thank you to all the friendly and helpful staff who made it a great holiday.

Highly recommend this hotel for its location and amazing service! The view from lur room was just stunning, almost surreal as you look across the landscape. The staff couldn't do enough for us, very attentive and going the extra mile with extra towels, free pick up and drop off to and from the airport. Lovely team and an absolutely gorgeous hotel. We look forward to returning.

Mystique in Santorini was our last stop on our Greece honeymoon adventure and it was by far the highlight.
A private shuttle arranged by the hotel was waiting for us at the ferry port upon arrival. We were promptly escorted to the hotel for checkin with a complimentary upgrade to a suite with a private hot tub.
There were two handwritten cards and a bottle of champagne waiting for us in the room upon arrival, which was a very nice touch. I was also thanked for my loyalty as a platinum elite member.
The food was amazing at breakfast and in room service. The staff was incredibly kind, courteous, and helpful. I can't say enough good things about the staff.
Drinks were excellent at the pool. The views are absolutely stunning. And it’s without question the most romantic place I’ve ever been.
The staff gave excellence restaurant recommendations and was always helpful. The prices are definitely premium but they aren’t as crazy as the Santa Marina in Mykonos.
The hotel location is perfect within walking distance to the downtown shopping area of Oia which is a plus. No need for a taxi or shuttle. You can easily walk to shopping, bars, or restaurants. Whether you want fine dinning or something simple, there are plenty of options for any price range or preference.
If you want to visit other areas of the island you will need to secure transportation and the hotel staff was helpful with that. They also make it easy to communicate on What’s App so you don’t have to walk all the way to the reception area.
Only downside is they don’t have a shared shuttle to either the airport or the ferry port so you must pay for a private shuttle. And if you aren’t at least somewhat physically fit, the stairs can be a challenge.
I wouldn’t recommend anyone with mobility issues stay here because just going to/from your room would be awful. That said, the challenge of the steps is worth it when you see the view.
After a challenging stay in Mykonos at the Santa Marina in Mykonos where we didn’t especially enjoy our time or the extremely high prices — Mystique delivered in a big way.
Huge thank you to the entire staff for making our honeymoon stay in Santorini a truly memorable experience. We are already planning on coming back :)

The room was very nice. The king size bed was very comfortable. I liked the large walk-in shower. Also enjoyed both the hot spa and cold pool outside our room.
The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Jenny, Eva and Mario were exceptional at breakfast.
Jerry with the concierge team was very helpful in providing transportation, dinner reservations and information about the island.
The food overall was very good.
The gym could use a set of free weights and perhaps a peloton or an elliptical machine. With that said you do get a great cardio workout climbing all the stairs at the resort.
The spa was very nice. Angie and Balu
Are excellent massage therapists. Our treatments were fantastic.
We were very appreciative of the team who carried our bags to our room both on arrival and departure.
We did experience a problem with many of the power outlets not working in our room. The coffee machine did not have a extension cord so it could not be operated from a table. We had to place it on the floor to make coffee. Perhaps an extension cord could be provided.
Overall our stay was excellent.

My second time in Santorini but this time decided to stay in Oia.
Upon arrival in Oia, the staff picked up our luggage and directed us to the reception. Our check-in was quick, confirmation of our rate, passport and vaccine. Recognition of my Platinum status which allowed me to choose free breakfast as my perk.
We had booked the Wet Allure Suite for 3 nights. The Suite included a hot pool outside which was nice to dip in as the sun descended.
Room itself was large with nespresso machine and bottled water. Large bathroom with shower only. Room safe and plenty of space to hang and store clothing. Rising TV cabinet by the bed which we never used, the views outside are much nicer. Wifi worked great, we were able to do our BinaxNow tests. There is housekeeping every day and a turndown service in the early evening.
We booked a couple spa treatment which was wonderful and fairly priced. Hotel helped us book our restaurants and had suggested a catamaran tour of the caldera which was wonderful.
Breakfast team were so friendly. Breakfast was al carte but you could order as much as you wanted. The food was almost as good as the view from breakfast in the morning.
We had lunch one day at the restaurant which was good. There is a pool menu you can order from also. The pool isn't large but we had no problems getting beds. The pool is not heated so for early Oct, it was cool.
There is a gym but we never used it. There are plenty of steps up and down for exercise.
The hotel is a short walk to the center of Oia which has plenty of restaurants but you do have to share a small part of your walk with one way car traffic before you get the pedestrian only area.
Checkout was accurate. We enjoyed our stay and our time at Mystique.

Not sure … but I think it’s not.
When you say how “bad” I’m not sure what you mean. My husband has bad knees and some neuropathy and he really struggled. There are too many steps to count. They are steep, slippery, and sloped downward so the water/rain drains down. There are no rails anywhere. And no where to hold onto in many areas. The hotel is GORGEOUS and the people are amazing; however, the stairs are not suited for everyone.
They don’t investigate special days.
Good afternoon from sunny Santorini,
The Vibrant suite offers a bathtub, without a walk-in or separate shower facilities
