Me and my husband traveled to Santorini for our honeymoon and stayed at this hotel for 5 nights, absolutely wonderful stay. The host is very pleasant and helpful with literally everything. The entire staff was friendly and extremely sweet. We booked Tony’s suite and when we arrived, they had decorated the suite with flowers and it was such a lovely suite. The breakfast served everyday was top notch. Would definitely recommend this hotel not just for the stunning view, but also for the very welcoming stay.
Staying in Atrina Canava hotel was exceptional! Even before we arrived Athina helped me with all practical matters and suggested a couple of beautiful restaurants with a gorgeous view to enjoy the Santorinian cuisine. George stayed late after his shift in order to welcome us with a smile. He explained to us all the facilities and was happy to receive our breakfast order for the morning. The breakfast included several choices (from pancakes, eggs Benedict to a freshly baked bread basket)all prepared by Iliana, and delivered by Jorge straight to our balcony to enjoy in the presence of the fantastic view. Vassilis was always ready to assist us at the pool bar and made the best coffee for us to enjoy by the pool. The room was very clean to the detail and was being cleaned daily by the fantastic housekeepers Ivet and Francisco. During our stay and upon our departure Xrysa in the reception was always with a pleasant smile together with Mrs Irene and they were ready to assist and advise us on where to go and what to do. Looking back on our stay this might have been one of the most delightful stays we have ever had. It is a high end property that delivers to high expectations. I was impressed at how each and every associate has delivered a personalised service in a polite and descrete manner. I would definitely recommend the hotel.…
Atrina Canava 1894 is the hotel to stay at in Oia. Just off the main road but hidden away from the tourist walkway, Atrina is well-located. The views are spectacular, looking south to the caldera. The entire staff is very warm, welcoming and hospitable. We got great dinner recommendations that added to the experience. The transfers from the port and to the airport was valuable and painless, and we even got assistance in going through some sites on the island. Our room was big, with a separate sitting area from the bedroom. We had our own patio with chaise lounges and a small dining area. Our breakfasts were served here with a gorgeous view of the caldera. The interiors of the room was very nice, with a very island resort feel. There is a pool down a series of stairs still overlooking the caldera. I highly recommend this hotel, with its location, staff and views making it worth the splurge.…
First trip in a long time and this hotel did not disappoint! It is well located and pleased to see it was not at the bottom of the ‘cliffs’ as the descent and ascent is steep (though good exercise for legs and glutes). The suite - Canava 1894 - was spacious, light, beautifully decorated and exactly how you want Greek rooms to look. The views from the terrace, which had sun all day, were picture perfect. It was not only the room that was great but the service from the hotel and in particular the concierge service. Krystina (apologies if I have got your name wrong) was incredibly helpful, friendly and professional even when I was changing restaurant bookings at short notice. All the staff were polite and friendly. Must mention the breakfast which was delivered and presented on our terrace each morning. There was a choice and having tried the different dishes they were all delicious. I was slightly confused that another review mentioned plastic wrappers and making on coffee & tea. There is the facility in the room to make your own refreshments during the day, however, breakfast came with fresh coffee and freshly made omelettes and muesli with Greek yoghurt, pancakes and croissants - no sign of wrappers! The hotel is near the beginning of the pedestrian area which is an advantage as less noisy and better for taking photos of the amazing hillside views. Love that it is a small boutique hotel as the service is more personal and there is more attention to detail. It is in the perfect position, maybe not for sunsets but definitely for sunrises. Oia is an amazing place and wonderful for taking photos any time of the day. Great having a pedestrianised main street and be aware there are a lot of stairs that are steep. It was as perfect a holiday as could be. Would definitely return to this hotel and can recommend it.…
My wife and I stayed here for our Santorini leg of our honeymoon. The view of the caldera from the room was spectacular. The location is perfect, there is a long pedestrian road along Oia and Atrina is right at the start. There are many great restaurants close by, as well as plenty of shops. Breakfast is delicious, with plenty of options, and was served each morning on the patio outside the room.
