We loved everything about Ikies! We were treated like Queens for my Birthday celebration. Staff were all amazing. Our room was perfect, spacious, huge balcony with a breathtaking view! I would highly recommend Ikies ..
My wife and I spent three nights in the hotel at the end of October. The room was comfortable and the outside space (private jacuzzi, lounge chairs, breakfast table and chairs) was perfect, with a spectacular view of Oia and the caldera. We enjoyed the jacuzzi in the evenings, and the delicious catered breakfasts in the mornings. The hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. Ikies is at the far east end of Oia, which is ideal -- an easy walk into the town, but away from the crowds, which can be oppressive when the cruise ships are in the harbor, even during off-season.
A beautiful property with jaw-dropping views. Service was top notch too. We stayed in the Sailors House for two nights. Will never forget breakfast on our patio overlooking the caldera. The location is ten minutes stroll from the heart of Oia. If we are very lucky we will get to stay here again. Truly the stuff of dreams, like you stepped into a postcard.
Ikies is a traditional Santorini hotel build in to the cliffside. What differentiates them from the others is their staff. They could not have been more pleasant, accommodating, and helpful. We will definitely stay there again!
Let me say, the view here is breathtaking. Louisa and Elizabeth were really kind, as well as the gentlemen that served breakfast each morning. After staying in the Carpenter's room for 2 two nights on our honeymoon, I can honestly say that I'm glad it was only two. This hotel is average at best... 1. This was the second hotel we stayed in while in Santorini. The first one, in Akrotiri, was far better and one I would definitely recommend and visit again. They truly were very attentive and went above and beyond to offer great service. The Ikies did not do this. 2. For the price that you pay at the Ikies, even in the off season, I would expect better service. The guy that answers the phone at night might as well just let the phone ring. We called to ask to have our breakfast served inside the room the next morning and if someone could please come by and pick up the dishes from the room service we had ordered a few hours before. No one came to get the dishes which started to stink after a while and the next morning, we had to stop the gentlemen from beginning to set up outside as no one passed on our request to him. Not to mention he had to remove the dirty dishes before setting up inside. 2. There was only one sofa, not two as advertised in the room description. 3. The shower would flood the bathroom everytime you turned it on. Not unusual (as I had hoped) if you read other reviews. The drain in the shower was definitely open, however, it drained very slowly allowing the water to flow into the toilet and steam room areas of the bathroom. The sink was also very slow to drain. This is something that should be checked prior to check in, especially they are aware that this is a common issue or has happened more than twice in the past. We also had to call on the first night to get two lights in the bathroom replaced as they were out which made it very dark. 4. Housekeeping was in our room for 5 mins tops, (we were on the balcony when they came), long enough to make the bed and change the towels. They did not refill the soap that was completely gone, the toilet paper on its last pitiful roll, nor the napkins, which were empty. We had to call to get each of those items replenished. When they left out, my husband and I looked at each other and thought maybe they were coming right back, but no. 5. This may not bother some people, but the cats are relentless if you decide to breakfast outside. There were like 6 of them that refused to let off so be prepared to eat breakfast with them.…
