Ikies Traditional Houses is a special type of hotel. Its small size, exceptional location, traditional design, range of accommodation (honeymoon, maisonettes, and studios) and professional operation result in a rare blend of intimate and personalized service offered against a setting of unique physical beauty. Located at the edge of the picturesque village of Oia in the northern part of Santorini and with commanding views over it, into the caldera and of the surrounding Cycladic Greek islands, our guests at Ikies quickly tune themselves into the complete tranquility of the romantic village.

The employees and management were so friendly, relaxed and always available to assist us. The food was better than most of the area restaurants with fresh ingredients and very reasonably priced. Simply put - this is a perfect place to stay on Santorini.

Hotel's Favorite
I would highly recommend IKIES to anyone looking to stay on Santorini. The resort itself is stunning with immaculately kept grounds and a literally perfect location - just on the edge of Oia so you can see the sunset from your own private balcony away from the crowds but close

We stayed at Ikies for 4 nights and loved it. The location of the hotel is perfect as it’s away (a short walk) from the main strip, giving you more peace and quiet. The staff were wonderful and really couldn’t do enough for you. Our only minor critic (to aid improvement) would

The staff was very welcoming and accomodating before and during our stay to help us plan our activities. The views from the very comfortable Antiquarian Room were incredible. Breakfast was included, comprehensive, and prompt each morning. Strongly recommend!

All the houses are great. Captain's will offer more privacy in the Jacuzzi but is closer to the reception and stairs. Artisan's offers a more open deck. Antiquarian's probably offers the broadest deck and views views out of the three. Bear in mind that Ikies is generally quiet and discreet so I wouldn't worry too much about the other guests!

My sister and I have stayed in the Antiquarian's twice since it has two bedrooms. We think the views are the best in Ikies. It has a 180 degree view at the end of the large deck left and right. Amazing sunset views off that corner! You do have guests for the next 2 suites walking through the center of your deck occasionally but that has not bothered us. The two suites past it are one bedroom and they would have great views too. We think the wide open view is worth the small reduction in privacy.

Hello Kathryn. Congratulations on your wedding! It will be our pleasure to welcome you for your honeymoon. The Winemaker's House (Honeymoon Suite) and the Boatman's House (Superior Studio) are two of our most popular rooms. The Winemaker's House is larger than the Boatman's House. It also offers a big terrace with a futon, lounge chairs, table and of course a hot tub. The Boatman's House terrace also offers the same comforts, however, it is smaller. The terrace of each room is for the private use of their guests and no one else has access to them, however, the Boatman’s House terrace is a bit more private as its hidden from peering eyes. Please note though, the terrace can be seen from the edge of the reception terrace, as well as of the edge of the room’s terrace above. We hope that we have been helpful. Please do not hesitate to contact us for any questions you may have.

How much is the taxi or the transport from the airport to the hotel? Thank you
The driver the hotel arranged for us was 50 Euros; not sure how much regular taxi is. We rented a car later on for around 70 Euros per day and used it to go back to the port, if you plan to take the car then avoid paying the taxi, they can arrange for you to pickup the car at the airport or the port. Hotel can do that for you.

Just booked Winemakers suite:) Now need help on what we can pack in the 3 days we are there?????
Hello lv2vaca627, A light jacket is a must for the evening time as it can get a bit chilly after sunset. Santorini has a lot of steps and cobblestone paths , so you should pack also flat comfortable shoes for walking. Don't forget your favorite sunscreen (the sun can be very strong), hat and sunglasses. If you decide to go on a catamaran tour (which is a very fun thing to do), you should pack in addition to your regular bathing suite, a second one preferably of dark color. The catamarans make a stop at the hot springs for swimming and for the guests to enjoy the beneficent red mud -which is great for your skin, but very difficult to wash of your clothes. We hope that we have been helpful.
