One of the most elegant hotels we’ve ever been to but not the least bit posh! It’s amazing how welcome and at home one can feel at Canaves while at the same time enjoying all the luxury a 5star hotel can offer, along with one of the most breathtaking views around the world. Certainly worth it.
The most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The room had an actual door with a key & an adorable key chain. Gate to the enterance. Our balcanoy suite overlooked Santorini & the Aegean Sea. Stunning. Top notch service. And I got to watch my beloved Royals play baseball on the tv! I would stay here every night.
One of the better places in Santorini! Was here with a friend and we had an amazing experience, friendly service and a great location in the center of everything. The prices are at the higher end but still worth it. A fine selection of things to choose from at the rooftop bar!
We have stayed in other five star hotels (eg Four Seasons Bora Bora, Ritz Whistler) and Canaves is, hands down, my favorite. The property is beyond gorgeous with spectacular views and the rooms are beautiful and comfortable (Acqua di Parma toiletries, a plunge pool, etc). The breakfast is delicious, Greek, beautifully presented, and can be enjoyed on your balcony or from the pool area with one of the best views of Oia. The pool is absolutely gorgeous. But perhaps my favorite part was the service. Each and every employee was so, so sweet and attentive to our every need. Elias even offered to take tons of photos of us, personal photographer style. John, the manager, upgraded us as soon as a nicer room was available, making our stay extra special. He and his staff are absolutely the best. Special thanks to Kostas, Ofelia, and Afrodite as well. We cannot wait to return to Santorini just to stay at Canaves Oia again.…
We had a fabulous 3 nights at the Canaves Oia Hotel in late October. The hotel immerses you in Greek culture with the stunning Santorini architecture, a layout with a lot of privacy and a 2-room 'suite' with plenty of space, spectacular views, and service to rival anyplace I've been. The staff could not have been more warm, welcoming and helpful. They got us a rental car, drivers to various places, directions, restaurant recommendations, and much more. The food in the restaurant (especially the breakfast) was the best we had in Greece, and the view from our table was truly breathtaking. Since it was the very end of the season, the hotel was getting ready to close for the winter, and the dinner options were very limited, but the staff more than made up for it with their attentive service and charm. Highly recommend this place!!…
